  • PLEASE HELP!!! My 'Apple mobile device helper has stopped working'!

Today i bought the new 3G iPhone so i went online to download the new 7.7 iTunes software. Now when i go into my iTunes a Windows pop up appears telling me that my 'Apple mobile device helper has stopped working' and that it is diagnosing the problem. The thing is that it doesn't diagnose the problem, the same box just keeps popping up over and over again.
I am not very computer literate and have tried everything that i can think of but nothing has worked.
Please can someone help because i'm absolutely dying to use my new iPhone; i queued up from 6 am to get my hands on it! :0(

I'm just a simple user. I don't know how to fix it any more than any of the other posters with this problem. I've looked around in control panel, done some poking and prodding with services and processes, and can't find a reasonable way to stop the messages without completely hosing up iTunes. I know the messages are annoying as ****, and nobody likes the idea, but sitting around and doing nothing is sometimes a whole lot better then doing something that makes it worse. See if you can find a document from Apple that tells you how to go back to the previous version of iTunes. I've seen that course of action mentioned several times for previous releases of iTunes upgrades, so the instructions for it must exist in another forum.
I just think, from the number of posts, that Apple is going to have to get a fix out pretty quickly, because this error pretty much shuts down their products on the Windows platform. They can't afford to let it go on for very long.

  • Apple Mobile Device Helper Failed????!!!???

I tried downloading the new itunes and the new software for 2.0 and downloaded both fine but now every time i start itunes i get a message saying apple mobile device helper has failed and it will not sync or recover my phone, my phone was bricked til i recovered it on my old computer, now it seems to be working ok, but i dont have any new software. Also my new computer can not run itunes because everytime i do run it i get a message saying the helper has failed every 20 seconds or so, i want to update everything on the new computer (with vista home premium if that matters)but dont want my phone to brick again, any suggestions? already tried reinstalling itunes, and i can get the message to stop if i uninstall the apple mobile device helper but then my phone will not sync, also i have the original 8gig if that matters, thanks in advance for any help

You can go to "C" drive, Program Files, Common Files, Apple, Mobile Device Support, Bin and remove AppleMobileDeviceHelper.exe file -- that will stop that message from poping up.

    I don't really know what I'm doing.
Everything I plus in my iPhone it doesn't pop up in my iTunes.

  • Apple Mobile Device Service keeps crashing on Mac OS X

When I connect my iPhone and start syncing it gets so far then, then the spinning beachball appears. This always happens when I am trying to sync music, and happens everytime I sync the phone.
When I disconnect the phone and try again itunes doesn't recognise it.
I have found by following these instructions:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306637
I can get itunes to recognise the phone again and start syncing. However itunes crashes everytime I sync.
If I force quit itunes I have to reinstall apple mobile device service, If I disconnect the iPhone then reconnect I get the error message 0xE8000001.
I thought it might be because of the amount of music I was wanting to put on there, put doing it bit by bit seems to end up the same way. I also thought it might be because I only have USB 1.1, but if that was the case nothing would sync...surely????
Has anyone else had this problem?
Can anyone help....having to re-install the mobile device package all the time is a real pain!!!!
    Help!

Are you connecting the iPhone to a USB 2.0 port? (Some of the G4 computers have USB 1.1 port and those will create sync problems.)
Are you using the cable that was supplied with the iPhone. (Some of the older iPod cables will connect but will not transfer data at USB 2.0 speeds).

  • TS1567 apple mobile device help

My iPod touch is not recognized by iTunes. I searched on how to fix this and I have to remove the apple mobile device. It told me to go to the services window and click apple mobile device and then click stop running. I go to the services window and the apple mobile device is not listed. What does that mean? What do I do to resolve the problem?

  • Apple Mobile Device Helper has stopped working - stuck in loop

I keep getting a message/check box (AppleMobileDeviceHelper has stopped working)whenever I load iTunes under Vista. If I don't click and respond, my task bar gets cluttered up with these messages - I don't know what to do short of uninstalling everything.
Any ideas of what else I can do to stop this box from coming up, so that I can use iTunes normally?
    Thanks

You could try uninstalling Apple Mobile Device support using add/remove programs. I tunes doesn't require it and will work without it. However if you need it, try doing a repair install of iTunes which will reinstall Apple Mobile Deviced support.

  • Apple Mobile Device Helper

Hi, I have just installed the 8.0.2.20 version of iTunes and everytime I run iTunes a alert box appears saying 'AppleMobileDeviceHelper has stopped working', I have tried reinstalling the iTunes.
When I updated iTunes via iTunes it worked at first, but after a while it stopped saying there was something wrong with Quicktime. So i removed Quicktime and installed it by its self again, that is not happening anymore.
I was wondering if anybody else has had this problem and what they done to fix it.
    Rory

I uninstalled it using Control Panel. You don't need that helper unless you have an iPhone or iTouch.

I also got rid of Apple Software Updater, too.
