Apple Mobile Device Service takes too much CPU how do I tame it?
I am runnig windows 7 on a acer with a quad core intel 7 cpu and AppleMobileDeviceService.exe constantly takes 20%+ of the cpu. Not only is my computer slow when this occurs but left this way while using other demanding application it tends to overheat my cpu and it shuts down. I have turned it off using the Resource Monitor but that is less than optimal for many reasons. I just uninstalled everything apple from my pc and resintalled itunes. This did not solve the problem. I am beginning to suspect this is a ploy by apple to get itunes users to hate windows and move to macs. BTW, I already own iPads and macs.

How do I start the Apple Mobile Device service? or maybe I shouldn't get it. I recently downloaded a Netflix app thinking it would work on my older iPod running version 3.1.3 and is only a 8 Gig device. Could this be my problem? The device doesn't even show up in "My Computer" or under devices in iTunes. Any help would be appreciated?
See this article for instructions on restarting the service (or re-installing if necessary).

the iphone cannot be used because the apple mobile device service is not started how do i fix this
Is this a Windows error? If so, make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed. If you do, try reinstalling iTunes. If that doesn't work, try manually starting the service.

i tryied to uninstall and clean all apple app on my pc...but the trouble is still here!!
Thanks. Short of the sort of "generic" suggestions of restaring your system, if you haven't, and repairing disk permissions and verifying the disk, I don't have any advice right now. I'll do some research and see if I can come across anything. Meanwhile, someone else may have an idea.
