Apple nano tube + zcover screen protector

I just received my nano tube in the mail (purchased from a guy who was selling his extras), and I have to say that I like it better than the zcover case. The click wheel area is thinner and allows manipulation by touch (very useful for me in the car not to have to determine where the clickwheel is), and doesn't seem to be as lint-attracting as the zcover case (mine was grey; others have said that the lighter colors don't attract as much lint).
What worked nicely, though, was taking the plastic screen protector that zcover provided and using it with the apple nano tube. It fits very nicely, and solves the screen protection problem!

I took mine off after I opened and got it going. It probably would have been a better idea to keep it on, but, like you, not a scratch on my nano!

  • Apple say no to screen protectors?

When i bought my new iPhone 5 the guy in apple told me they dont install screen protectors and if i want one installed i have to go to another shop in Bondi Junction. I was amazed that they are told by their managers not to recommend screen protectors as the glass in "scratch proof", which is rediculous as my last 4S screen was scratched VERY BAD. So i went to this shop and they did it perfectly in less than a minute i couldn't believe it. A pretty girl served me and i bought a nice cover off her too. They are in Westfield. I just don't know why Apple are told not to sell screen protectors?!

Do they not sell them or just not install?
I tried a screen protector with my first iPhone 3G, looked like crap after about a month.  Peeled it off and have never used one since.

  • Do Apple Store representatives install screen protectors?

    Hi,
I recently purchased a three-pack of screen protectors from Amazon and am disappointed with the bubbles produced from my first four installations (The company sent me a new pack after I messed up completely on the first three). Admittedly, I am not the greatest at screen protector installations, but my fourth protector is bearable. I was wondering, though, if I could walk into an Apple Store (or get a Genius appointment) with an unused protector and have them do a "perfect" installation for me.
    Thanks!

great idea voids any warranty AND post warranty support from Apple

  • Will anyone at the Apple store apply my screen protector for me?

I'm not competent or patient enough to figure out how to put the darn thing on.    And I'm a perfectionist.  Is there any way someone at the apple store will do that for me?  That would make my life a whole lot easier.

they probably will but also they probably wont wanna take the same chance of messing it up.

  • Should Apple Replace Screen Protector on Replaced iPhone??

I'm debating whether or not to make a stink about this, but I have had my iPhone 4 replaced twice since I got it the end of July. Both times it had a screen protector on it. The second time I had literally just gotten the protector in the mail and put it on the phone. I asked them to replace it because it was not my fault the hardware on the phone failed and had to be replaced, but they wouldn't solely because it wasn't an item they carry. First of all, the Apple Store doesn't carry screen protectors?? Really? And second, so if it was an item they carried they'd replace it? I don't understand.
Has anyone had a similar experience or can answer my question whether this is worth pursuing or not? I know it's only like $20 out of my pocket, but it's $20 I didn't have to waste if Apple's hardware hadn't failed, twice.

I believe an Apple store does sell screen protectors, but they may not sell the screen protector you purchased and had installed in the mall. I don't believe an Apple store installs a screen protector when purchased at an Apple store. Regardless, I'm pretty sure this is not covered under the warranty.

A good question for this Apple store.

  • IPod nano Tubes, in stock Tuesday.

Ive noticed all the craziness about the lack of nano Tubes.
Good news for you in the UK (or the rest of the world, but face a shipping cost).
The nano Tubes are expected in stock on October 4th from http://www.essentialipod.co.uk/product.php?xProd=1869&xSec=35>Essential iPod
Of course i will post a review if i get them next week, but if they are delayed any longer i will most likely get the zCover for iPod nano.

They dont appear to be Official Apple nano Tubes. The company looks to have used the same screen shown on nano pictures on their tubes.
Still, even though they are ''not real'' Apple nano Tubes, they look great and if they do the job then there is no need to compalin.
Emma, what did the box look like that they came in. If it looked to be an Apple branded box, they may be counterfit and not just a similar design.

  • Screen protector or not??

Good day all. I just purchased my iPad and see that Apple is not offering screen protectors anymore. my questions are:
1: Are people using them and if so which one are you using?
2: By using a screen protector against Apple's wishes are we voiding the warranty if there are screen issues?
I look forward to your answers.

    *Regarding #1:*
Some people are using them, but NOT to actually protect their screen. For example, the anti-glare protectors are nice not only for their anti-glare feature, but also because they are slightly 'rougher' to the touch, giving a nice tactile feel as you slide your finger across the screen. Also, they make fingerprints less noticeable. So oddly enough, the best feature of anti-glare protectors is neither anti-glare nor protection.
Unlike an iPod or iPhone that lives in your pocket with keys and coins and whatever else, the iPad is more like a laptop. Do you put a screen protector on your laptop?
    *Regarding #2:*
    No. Absolutely not.
They probably just don't want people to form the impression that screen protectors are necessary so they yanked them from the store. That's my just speculation though.
    *Other comments:*
A lot of people claim they don't need screen protectors even for their iphones. They say that their screen has never been scratched. They might be right in most cases... but i personally scratched my last iPhone screen. Besides, like I said above, I like the feel of the rough anti-glare surface.
Also, some people have said that video quality is reduced with these anti-glare protectors. I agree with that. It adds a bit of a shimmer to the video. Personally I don't mind, but that's just me.
    Hope that is helpful.

  • Has anyone removed the screen protector from Otterbox?

I have the Otterbox on top of Apple's anti-glare screen protector as suggested in this forum. I'm having way too much trouble getting a response out of buttons on the edge of the screen or in the corners. I touch and touch, even press hard but no response. Even getting the phone to snap a picture is near impossible. I have no problems when I remove the Otterbox case, so I know it isn't a screen issue. I love the feel and protection afforded by the Otterbox case and would like to use it. Has anyone removed the screen protector from their case, and if you have, can you comment on the subsequent performance of it? Of note, I use the Otterbox case because I have young kids who use the phone - we don't have a landline. In other words, it's not dust protection I'm looking for, but impact protection. I hate to tear up a $50 case if it won't function anymore.

I removed the screen protector that was part of the Otterbox case and it now works much better. Still have the Power Support anti-glare screen protector on it. Also removed the small cover over the camera lense and now my pictures are more clear. Finally, I removed the covers over the speakers and I can hear the speakerphone again. These mods made the case an A+ for me. A little less protection but much better functionality.

  • Full Screen protector For iPhone 6

I've noticed a lot of screen protectors only sit on the front and don't cover the whole front face (I'm thinking because of the curve). Anyone know of a protector that covers the full face?

Why don't you check this out it say it has rounded edges for the phone might be the one you are looking for, but I'm not sure check out the review

  • Nano Dock & Nano Tubes

    Quick question for Nano Users:
Are you able to use the Nano Dock with Apple Nano Tubes?

Thanks for the replies, so essentially you would have to remove any Nano from any form of casing to place it in the dock correct?
I have a universal dock but the point of the Nano dock is so I wouldn't have to use an adaptor or it would be sturdy and stable.

  • Does a Iphone 4s come with a screen protector on?

Does a Iphone 4s come with a screen protector on? Also I bought some screen protectors so can the apple store put the screen protector on for me? because it is really difficult to put it on

it does not come with a screen protector.  I'm not sure the Apple store will apply the protector but it doesn't hurt to ask.

  • Nano Tubes - screen protector?

Does anyone happen to know if the Nano tubes will contain a screen protector? I can't tell based on the pictures that Apple has posted.

    I dont think it does, here's why. . .
This is Apple's description of the tube:
Feeling a little blue today? Maybe your mood leans on the pink side. Either way, iPod nano Tubes have you covered. Constructed from smooth, treated silicone that resists dirt and stains, they come in a set of five colors: purple, pink, blue, green and clear.
Just slip iPod nano in from the bottom or through the screen window to add a splash of flavor and deliver instant protection from scratches and bumps. You can still access the Click Wheel and hold switch, and you can even create a flashy fashion statement by wearing it around your neck with the iPod nano Lanyard Headphones.
The fact that you can slip the nano through the screen window makes me think that, no, there's no screen. I would've bought them, ugly colors and all, if it had a screen. For now I left the sticky cover that came w/the nano on and put the pod in my sock, seems to be working ok until something better comes along.

  • Nano Tubes will Protect Screen

So do the Nano tubes come with screen protectors on them or are the just a rubber covering around the system and not the screen?

The nano tubes do not protect the screen.
