Apple Offer Free Bumper

Hi all
Steve Job offers FREE BUMPER($1.00 cost for them)/$30.00 cost for us, now for free.
I call them today, they say come back to website sometime next week to file out FORM, then they will ship out free bumper. For whom who already buy a bumper will get their refund and have to fill the form too.
Anyway, it's CHEAP SOLUTION:))

If you're not happy with what Apple is offering Hopsing, you can always return your phone within 30 days.

Dear me, that would be nice. Except that my iPhone4 came with a single cable, and I keep a cable in my car, my kitchen, my bedroom, my home office, and my suitcase, plus one at my work office.
So the options are to carry around a single cable all the time, which is massively inconvenient, or spend $30 each on Apple-branded cables (sending the current cables to the landfill), or to constantly take the case on and off, cursing Apple each time I do so for changing the specs on the cases by an unnecessary millimeter.
More people seem to be choosing to take a drill/file to the case and expand the port a bit.

Apple's Free Bumper Program is lagging!

So I got my iPhone 4 a few days ago, and yesterday I downloaded the free bumper program app. However, when I received my confirmation e-mail it said it is estimated to ship by August 27 and deliver by Sept 1. Did anyone else get a different date?

It probably takes a while to manufacture and distribute a few million of them.
Typically, Apple products ship before the promised date so have hope!

Get onto the integrated iOS + Mac OS and end support for "legacy" Mac 10.8 and earlier.
Force older hardware users like me to upgrade to new hardware which is where $$ are.
Make apps work across tablets, phone, and computer with similar (though not the "same" app, but able to read and use the same file format).
Simplify.
I don't think anyone incl. Microsoft knew Windows 8.1 was going to be a free upgrade, I didn't and read that it would be more like $30.
No OS is ready for everyone on the day it is launched. iOS 7 is now 7.04 and climbing, Mac OS tends to really not be ready until the last patch and version is out, often a year or more after it was first issued. Ship it, then plan to fix the bugs left in or that surface.
www.macperformanceguide.com is saying "No" to Maverick for now. Of course there will be no "No" on new Mac Pro 2013 6,1 when those ship (Late Jan? )

Is Apple Still Offering Free 'Retro' Apps For iLife 08?

I'm reasonably disappointed with Apple's latest version of iLife. I had heard that they were offering free downloads of the separate apps that would restore the functionality and interface of the previous version. Are they still offering that option, and what is the URL to access the downloads?

Free bumper case when and how?

Steve indicated that every iPhone 4 owner would receive a free bumper case to hopefully correct the antenna issue. When and how does one receive the case? I must admit that I have only had a few dropped calls. I live in an area that has a weak signal and my 3G had not one dropped call in 2 years!!!

Possible to exchange the free bumper/case?

I'm receiving a Griffin Etch ($30 value) from the free bumper/case program. My question is if it is possible to take this, along with the receipt, into an Apple store and exchange it for a case of the same or lower value? I'm looking for a slider sleeve, but the Etch was the best that was offered to me via the free case program.

I was wondering the same thing. My wife and I bought new iPhones together. I got the Bumper and she got the clear case. Now she wants the bumper instead. I doubt we will be able to exchange them, but I am interested.

Is anyone else having trouble tracking their free bumper shipment?

For some reason, I am having the worst time trying to track my free bumper shipment. I got the shipment confirmation e-mail from Apple on 7/30 with an estimated delivery date of 8/6. For the first two days, I got no information when I clicked on the DHL or USPS tracking numbers. Then, on about 8/2, it finally updated to MANIFESTED on 7/30 in Millington, TN. It has since been updating about 24-48 hrs behind, and the estimated delivery date is now 8/9!
Anyway, now it looks like it's saying it left the Atlanta, GA area on 8/4. I figured I'd get it today since I live in the panhandle of FL 10 miles south of the GA border (about a 4.5 hr drive from Atlanta).
Out of curiosity, I called DHL this morning. They said it was handed over to the USPS this morning, and I should get in midweek next week! The rep didn't really seem to care when I told her that on-line it says it was a 5 hr ride away, but I had called because the on-line tracking was updating 24-48 hrs behind. So, I didn't want to start anything - I just figured I'd call the USPS! Their automated system says they have no record of the package...ok...so I dialed "0" to speak to a rep, and it told me that "our automated tracking system is up to date, so the option of speaking to a rep is not available at this time!" WHAT?!?!? The USPS tracking website is even more behind the DHL site, but at least there is a record of it there! Here's what I have:

To me, it looks like the information infers that the package was handed off to USPS on 8/3!
Anybody else with this problem? For anyone who has already received their free bumper, how long did it take after the shipping e-mail from Apple for it to arrive?
Any advice on how to actually speak to someone at the USPS?

I would say frustrated, not furious, but impatient, no. I ordered a case before the free case program about a month ago and THAT still hasn't shipped, lol! I already took one business trip with the phone and dropped it quite a few times (lol) and didn't even really get frustrated, but I am about to take another business trip that I leave for on Sunday, so I was beyond thrilled that my bumper was shipping early and scheduled right before I left for my next trip.
With that said, I am frustrated at the fact that I can't even track my package accurately from not only 1, but 2 entities, lol! I simply called, not because I was impatient, but because I had already been patient for the past week of beyond slow online updates and only when I had seen that it was so close to home a few days ago. So, again, I'm just frustrated at the disparity and even complete non-functioning (USPS telephone) of the tracking systems and was wondering if there was any way I could get in touch with a USPS rep. I wasn't frustrated at all prior to this morning. I was extatic, actually! Not even frustrated about it possibly coming late, just that nothing can definitively tell me if that is the case right now, lol!

The only way to register for your free iphone 4 bumper at the moment is on apple.com (iphone 4 caseprogram), can UK residents register for the free bumper on here or do we have to wait for the iphone 4 case program to appear on apple/uk?

Free Bumper program ending Sept. 30th

Hi all,
just ordered my iPhone 4G yesterday and just wanted to check in on the "Free Bumper" program.
In the conditions to the program Apple stated that the program ends for iPhone ordered by Sept. 30th.
My iPhone is bound to be shipped only by mid of October - anybody aware if I still can apply for a free bumper by then?

You are basically limited to what Apple deigns to offer.
Try LibreOffice [free] which has a huge selection of languages.
