Apple Pay Comerica Cards

Hello,
I have 64 gig 6 Plus version 8.1.2 on T-Mobile in Michigan.
I'm trying to add my Comerica Visa Debit card but I keep getting the error saying "Your Issuer does not yet offer support for this card". I used the photo method and typed the number in manually to added my card, but both failed.  I called Comerica and was transferred 5 times without getting to a person that knows anything about Apple Pay.I went to the Apple Store and couldn't find a person that knows anything about Comerica cards and Apple Pay. So are participating cards location based or is there something else going on?
Thanks.

I also bank with Comerica (SE Michigan, Business & Personal accounts).   I spoke with my business relationship manager a few days ago, and unfortunately  they have no exact date that Apple Pay will be active our debit / credit cards, however, she speculated Q2 of 2015.
We also accept credit cards through Comerica Merchant Services, and they informed me "sometime in Q2" for being able to accept Apple Pay on our terminals.

  • Apple pay credit card appearance

I have two Bank of America credit cards. One is my personal and one is my business account. Besides the last four digits to distinguish them is there a way to change the graphics of the card so it is very easy to see which one I can use per transaction? For example the personal car would with a blue background and the business card would be black? anything to make it easy to visually see what card i am using at each time.

No.  The graphics are not user changeable.
What you can select, however, is the default card to use when you bring up Apple Pay to make a payment.  Do this at Settings > Passbook & Apple Pay > Default Card.

  • Apple Pay "Your card is being activated" text does not go away...

    Hello,
I added 4 cards to my Passbook - 2 of them say "Ready for Apple Pay" and the other 2 (Wells Fargo) say "Your card is being activated". I contacted the bank and they say those 2 cards are ACTIVE WITH APPLE PAY. They told me to call Apple. Has anyone seen this? I don't want to get into a payment situation and have the card rejected.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the replies....
Next day - phone still shows Wells Fargo cards are "Activating - your card is being activated""
    * Restart - done with no change
    * Re-add - No. My Bank said both cards are ACTIVE with Apple Pay so there is no need to do that. They said it is an Apple glitch (this is only with my 2 Wells Fargo cards - AMEX / BoA show "ready for Apple Pay")
    * I have not used the cards yet. The merchants in my area are so behind the times - nobody yet accepts Apple Pay in my neck of the woods in Florida.
Anyone have this situation that fixed it?
    Thanks & Happy New Year!

  • Apple Pay - multiple cards on file but...

How does it know which one to charge to?  If the process is automated and you don't even have to open the Passbook app - how does it know which card out of my Passbook is going to get used - #1 priority?
I've not tried it yet - maybe there is a card selection prompt?
In store at places like Target/Walmart would be good too, but they aren't in the list yet... and may never be according to some news articles.

When you have multiple credit cards in Passbook they will appear stacked. The bottom most card will be in front. That is the default card. Tapping and dragging the default card up let you move it behind others in the stack. This results in changing the default card. It's easy and fast to select a different card as the default card if you do not want to use the present default card to make a purchase.

    No.

  • Unable to remove credit card from Apple Pay

I'd like to remove my credit card from the Apple Pay application on my iPhone 6. The instructions say to touch the card in the Passbook and then click on the "i." Then scroll down and touch "Remove Card." I tried that but the Remove Card link is not "hot," that is, nothing happens when I touch it.
Any suggestions or "work-arounds" to remove my card from the application?

I only had one card in Apple Pay and I decided to remove it. I did ao without issue. I did it on my iPad Air 2, not on my iPhone 5S which does not have Apple Pay. My point is that I only had one card in Apple Pay, not multiple cards.
Do you have any restrictions set that would prevent account changes. Settings>General>Restrictions.

  • My iPhone six with iOS 8.1.1 will not allow me to upload credit card data to Apple pay

My iPhone six with iOS 8.1.1 will not allow me to add credit card data to Apple pay. It does not recognize my credit card in iTunes. I have I have set location to the United States, and restarted. Still nothing. When I enter the passbook app, hit the plus button, select set up Apple pay, select add new credit card,I get no response when trying to add credit card number expiration date etc., nor does the camera feature work. Bottom line is to date, I cannot add any credit card data at all.

I am guessing there is something about your situation that occurred outside the U.S.  Perhaps you purchased your iPhone outside the U.S., or live outside the U.S., ...
At the moment, Apple Pay only works in the U.S.

  • Visa card canceled after using Apple pay. Tried using at Mapco and denied the transaction twice. Then I find out my check card has been canceled. Waiting on new check card from fraud department.

I think Apple pie confused the banks fraudulent alert system and my card was canceled now I have to wait for a new card. Has this happened to anyone else?

  • How do I easily change the default credit card in Passbook for Apple Pay?

I just read online that the first credit card you enter into Passbook is automatically set as default for all Apple Pay transactions. The problem is that my preferred card was not entered first because the bank only just now made it available for Apple Pay. How do I sent this card to be the default for all Apple Pay transactions?

I think there may be a bug in 8.1.2 where iOS only recognizes the first card entered as the default card. I added two cards, but the second card never showed  up under "Transaction Details | Default Card". I removed both cards then re-entered my preferred card first, and it appeared under Default Card, but the second card entered no longer appears under "Default Card"

  • Apple Pay not working over half the time at Subway & Walgreens after adding TCF card

After I got my iPhone 6, there weren't many places that took Apple Pay...i tried it at Subway and it worked there at first and then it worked at Walgreens too. I mostly used AmEx cards and Citibank cards. However, once my bank finally started being Apple Pay capable (TCF Bank) it hasn't worked as well. Whether or not that has anything to do with it i don't know, but now it almost never works at Subway and it rarely works at Walgreens. Any suggestions or should I bring my iPhone 6 to Apple and get it switched out?

I think the usage is highly variable, even with chains that claim to accept Apple Pay. I have used mine for several months at my local Walgreens then recently, I was in another Walgreens store and it would not work. The same for Subway. I suspect it is the age and/or health of the terminal that determines the success rate.

  • Does Apple Pay setup with camera support portrait mode credit cards?

I have a credit card that the front face is in portrait mode instead of the traditional landscape view. I tried to used the camera to setup this card in Apple Pay but it would recognize it. I had to set it up manually so I could use that card. I was wandering if Apple Pay camera setup is compatible with those types of cards.

WiseJD, that's a good way to test the theory, I agree.  But I'm not really blocked on doing anything here, this is more about technical curiosity.  So I don't plan to try that test, since signing out of iCloud means iCloud photos and docs get deleted from the phone and I'd have to get them downloaded again later.  The hassle exceeds my level of curiosity.
However, a co-worker pointed me to the iOS Security Guide (Apple Pay starts on page 24).  The second paragraph on page 27 says, "This allows iOS to instruct the Secure Enclave to render cards unusable by marking its copy of the AR as invalid under the following scenarios:
    When the passcode is disabled
The user logs out of iCloud
So there is some connection to one's iCloud Apple ID.  The connection appears to be quite minimal, but I accept this as sufficient circumstantial evidence that for users with two Apple IDs, one iCloud and one iTunes, the iCloud Apple ID is the one Apple Pay looks at when deciding whether to offer to include your existing credit cards.
I'll stick with that as my theory unless someone presents a counterexample.  That is, if someone says they use separate Apple IDs on their phone for iCloud and iTunes, they have no credit card in the iCloud account, and Apple Pay *does* offer them the chance to, "Use Card on File with iTunes," (from their iTunes Apple ID).
    Thanks.

  • Why is there a limit to the number of cards allowed in Apple Pay?

I began adding my credit cards into Passbook and getting them all verified through the issuer for Apple Pay, but it won't let me enter any more than 8 cards total. I have my debit card and seven credit cards entered. When I tried to add a ninth card, the "Add Another Card" is greyed out.
If your response is going to be along the lines of "Why do you need so many credit cards?" or "Get rid of some cards" or something other than an answer to my question, please feel free NOT to reply.
    Thank you,
    Jeff

The limit is most likely security purposes, which I also don't understand being that you would need your fingerprint. It could also be insurance liabilities, and apple doesn't want to be responsible for more than a set number of cards per person in the case of an insurance breach. But I am sure that many improvements will be made to apple pay, it is still new and most things change overtime after they are used by people like us.

  • Apple/iTunes credit card and Apple Pay

I have changed my Apple/iTunes credit card and now I am unable to enter that card into Apple Pay. I don't get the prompt at the beginning of the entering process to enter the Apple Store credit card as I did before I changed the card.

I Think that the reason so many of us are asking is that it did offer to add the card that was used in iTunes even though it was not supported. When I first setup Apple Pay it asked me if I wanted to use my card associated with iTunes. My card was an unsupported GM Master Card. I chose instead to add my supported Chase debit card. I could never get it to ask me again. And I cannot add the GM card through passbook.
It to may not have completed adding the iTunes card if I had chosen it first, but sure acted like it might had I chosen it first. I think that is why so many of us were asking.

  • Apple Pay - Card Design Not Reflected in Passbook

I started using Apple Pay yesterday, and all of my cards loaded quickly and easily. However, the card designs on my Citi cards (I have 2), are not being reflected. When loaded into Apple Pay, they are just generic looking cards, not the actual design of the card; thus making it hard to determine which Citi card is which. I first contacted Citi about this problem, and they are saying that the issue is with Apple. I would really appreciate any help as right now I do not have my card numbers memorized, and would simply like to know which card is which by the design.
Per Citi's own website, my cards should look something like this:
However, this is what I see on my Passbook:

You most likely have those purchases on another ID, etc.

  • Where is the best place to obtain US test cards so we can evaluate Apple Pay for UK in store retail?

We are in the process of evaluating whether Apple Pay is a viable payment option which we can offer our customer base in the UK.  As it is yet to arrive here in the UK we would be attempting a POC with US (apply pay friendly) test cards.  I imagine there are a few retailers doing the same, does anyone know where the best place to get suitable test cards?
    Regards
    Kevin

You would probably have to contact your POS supplier. This is a user to user support forum and I doubt anyone would have that information here.
FWIW, I have used Apple Pay on the contactless  POS terminals in London taxis, with my US issued credit cards. It works.
