Apple Pay only brings up default card
I went to use Apple Pay at Walgreen's, and it only brought up my default card. I'm new to Apple Pay, but I thought that all cards linked to Apple Pay were supposed to show up when making a purchase, allowing you to select a card other than the default. Is this the case, or do I have to go into setup or Passbook to change the default card when I don't want to use the one that pops up?
Hello John,
You should be able to change the card if you have different cards enter in for Apple Pay. Take a look at the article below and it will give you the steps on how to pay with a different card.
Apple Pay FAQ
http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201469
To pay with a different card:
Hold your iPhone near the contactless reader without placing your finger on Touch ID. Your iPhone will wake up, and you'll see your default card on your screen.
Tap your default card. From the list of cards, tap the one you want to use.
Place your finger on Touch ID and move your iPhone near the reader to complete the payment. You might also need to sign a receipt, depending on the store and the transaction amount.
Make sure that you hold your iPhone near the reader until you feel a subtle vibration and see a checkmark on the screen. That's how you know that your payment information was sent.
Regards,
-Norm G.

Trying to setup Apple Pay and keep getting "invalid card" message.
I looked up my bank and debit card on the list and it's on there, so I don't know why it's not accepting it. Also, this is the card I have set up in iTunes. I have an iphone 6 with iOS 8.2.
When you looked up your card, I assume you looked here:
Apple Pay participating issuers - Apple Support
Please pay very careful attention to the footnotes. I have a Citi card that is co-branded. There is a footnote (1) at the top of the list in the co-branded header.
My particular Citi co-brand has not yet signed up for Apple Pay, even though there is a big check mark in the Citi - Co-branded cards box. -
The credit card is issued by a Chinese Bank but it's MasterCard or VISA.
A list of participating banks is on this page. I don't see any chinese banks.

Using two separate Chase Visas, Apple Oay is working fine but the transaction list is very generic. It lists time, date, city, state and two dashes where amount should be. Shouldn't it at least show the name of the store and the amount?
Hi. I don't know if this will help, but I had this problem too. Mine quit working after I used earbuds. I was told that there is a switch inside the earbud port that tells the device to divert sound to earbuds. This can get "stuck" and the device keeps thinking the earbuds are plugged in. After reinserting the earbuds a few times, the switch was released and my speakers started working again.
I'm not a techie.... this is just what I found to work after my iPhone 4S speakers quit. -
My iPhone six with iOS 8.1.1 will not allow me to upload credit card data to Apple pay
My iPhone six with iOS 8.1.1 will not allow me to add credit card data to Apple pay. It does not recognize my credit card in iTunes. I have I have set location to the United States, and restarted. Still nothing. When I enter the passbook app, hit the plus button, select set up Apple pay, select add new credit card,I get no response when trying to add credit card number expiration date etc., nor does the camera feature work. Bottom line is to date, I cannot add any credit card data at all.

I am guessing there is something about your situation that occurred outside the U.S. Perhaps you purchased your iPhone outside the U.S., or live outside the U.S., ...
At the moment, Apple Pay only works in the U.S. -
Will Apple Pay only work with the stores mentioned on Apple's website?
Just places participating in apple pay.

Macy's says I can set up Apple Pay on their store card. The store card has no expiration date and I keep getting an error message "not a valid card". Called Macys but they say can be done. True?
Hope this information helps anyone that has questions regarding Macy's store branded & Macys AMEX cards with Apple Pay. I've included the direct link as well as the complete FAQ from their website.

Camera won't capture credit card for Apple pay
When I attempt to use the little blue camera icon option in Apple Pay to capture a credit card and it's info, nothing happens. The camera won't capture a picture of my credit card. I hold my phone camera hovering very still over my credit card making it's sure it's within the guideline over and over and nothing happens.

Make sure your iPhone is updated to iOS 8.1
Tap Settings > General > Software Update
If it's already running 8.1, try a reset.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings then try again.
Instructions for setting up Apple Pay > Apple Pay -
Hello,
I have 64 gig 6 Plus version 8.1.2 on T-Mobile in Michigan.
I'm trying to add my Comerica Visa Debit card but I keep getting the error saying "Your Issuer does not yet offer support for this card". I used the photo method and typed the number in manually to added my card, but both failed. I called Comerica and was transferred 5 times without getting to a person that knows anything about Apple Pay.I went to the Apple Store and couldn't find a person that knows anything about Comerica cards and Apple Pay. So are participating cards location based or is there something else going on?
Thanks.I also bank with Comerica (SE Michigan, Business & Personal accounts). I spoke with my business relationship manager a few days ago, and unfortunately they have no exact date that Apple Pay will be active our debit / credit cards, however, she speculated Q2 of 2015.
We also accept credit cards through Comerica Merchant Services, and they informed me "sometime in Q2" for being able to accept Apple Pay on our terminals. -
I am trying to set up the apple pay but it is defaulting to the wrong apple ID
Hello tkerr,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
From your post I understand that you're trying to set up Apple Pay on your iPhone. To set up Apple Pay please follow the directions below. If you're using the option to set up Apple Pay with the card on file with iTunes, it will use the iTunes account that is currently logged in to within your iPhone's settings.
Add the card that you already use for your iTunes Store account
On iPhone, if you don't have any cards or passes, tap Set Up Apple Pay. If you do have cards or passes, pull down your pass stack and tap in the upper right corner. On iPad, tap Add Credit or Debit Card.
Select Use Card on File with iTunes.
Enter the security code for the credit or debit card you’re already using with iTunes.
Tap Next. Your bank will verify your information and decide if you can add your card to Apple Pay. If they need more information, you'll get instructions on how to provide additional verification. You can verify your card anytime after you've added it to Passbook. Just return to Passbook and follow the instructions.
After your card is verified, tap Next. Your card is ready for Apple Pay.
Add a new card using your device's iSight camera
On iPhone, if you don't have any cards or passes, tap Set Up Apple Pay. If you do have cards or passes, pull down your pass stack and tap in the upper right corner. On iPad, tap Add Credit or Debit Card.
Select Use a Different Credit or Debit Card.
On the Card Details screen, tap . You can also enter your card information manually.
Position your card in the frame to capture the card information.
Enter the security code and any other information that doesn't automatically appear.
Set up and use Apple Pay

I made a purchase at Macy's yesterday using Apple Pay and the transaction went through fine, Aside from the sales associate being totally surprised that I paid for my purchase using Aplle Pay, which made me question if Macy's ever informed their associates of this new way a customer may be making purchases, but she also had me sigh the pen pad. I thought Apple Pay was suppose to eliminate the need to sign. I also made purchases at an Apple Store as well as a Walgreen without signing. Can someone confirm Macy's actions?
ThanksHope this information helps anyone that has questions regarding using Apple Pay at Macy's. I've included the direct link as well as the complete FAQ from their website. But to answer your question, any purchase over $25 would require a signature.

I have not set up my apple pay at all yet, so there are no cards on it. I open up Passbook, and click "Set Up Apple Pay" and it just pops up with a dialog box that says "Could Not Set Up Apple Pay" and nothing happens. Sometimes it asks me to log in with my Apple ID but then the box appears again. How do I get around this?
The credit card question is irrelevant because I can't get far enough in the process of setting up my apple pay to input a card. But if I were to get far enough, it would be the same card that is associated with my Apple ID.
My restrictions are all off.
I reset my phone and the problem still remains
Here is what happens in as much detail as I can explain: I awake my phone. I open Passbook, I then tap "Set Up Apple Pay" and 2-5 seconds later this is the screen I get.
It gives me no other options. I can select "Set Up Apple Pay" over and over again and nothing changes. This is the same result if I were to go through Settings > Passbook & Apple Pay > Add Credit or Debit Card.
I don't know what to do. -
Issues using Apple Pay at Tim Hortons
I Work at Tim Hortons and have tried to use apple pay multiple times, using different cards and none have worked. A few co-workers have tried and had the same result. When you hit "credit" on the register it activates the card terminal that does have tap to pay-which does work with my debit card. However, when you try to use Apple pay it either gets declined or says " card reafter error"
goolge wallet used to work but now does the same thing?I do not see Tim Horton's in the list of vendors accepting Apple Pay --- yet.

How do I easily change the default credit card in Passbook for Apple Pay?
I just read online that the first credit card you enter into Passbook is automatically set as default for all Apple Pay transactions. The problem is that my preferred card was not entered first because the bank only just now made it available for Apple Pay. How do I sent this card to be the default for all Apple Pay transactions?
I think there may be a bug in 8.1.2 where iOS only recognizes the first card entered as the default card. I added two cards, but the second card never showed up under "Transaction Details | Default Card". I removed both cards then re-entered my preferred card first, and it appeared under Default Card, but the second card entered no longer appears under "Default Card"
