Apple Pay triggered by Table Tracker at StoneFire BBQ restaurant

While waiting for my food at StoneFire BBQ (a mediocre BBQ pit in SoCal), I noticed that their "table-tracker" device triggered my Apple pay on my 6+. Never noticed this happening before. Is this an 8.3 thing?

  • Did Apple pay for all my CD's?

Did Apple pay for all my CD's from the 80's, 90's and 00's I uploaded to my Itunes? Seems like they did because to manipulate the files in any way (changing names, adding artwork) I have to go through several steps to "Authorize" myself to do so...Why? The tracks when Clicked on are all "greyed" out. I did some searching online to figure out how to take control of MY OWN music once again. However going through a series of silly prompts FOR EVERY SINGLE TRACK is time consuming and just...like why? I 've bough quite a bit of music (and other media) from ITunes over the years but 70% of my collection is CD's I BOUGHT MYSELF. In some cases starved for, as if a new Rush disc was out that week and it was that or lunch that day, there was no contest. Now I'm not blaming Apple for starving me during certian points in my life but what I'm saying is I PAID for all this music MYSELF with my MONEY. I OWN IT. Or do I? Once I uploaded all my Cd's they were given away traded off to shops or put in boxes never to be seen again. Why would I need them?
Well now that anytime I want to turn up a track a bit, fix some art, or edit spelling, I need to go through each album track by track and authorize MYSELF to do so???
Please some sane person explain this to me while I go through my 99 track Motorhead boxset so I can make it all one listing and not have it broken up in "CD's" as almost ALL of my multi disc releases are now. Man I hate when rich people mess with us unwashed...
Had to edit this because I was "Mad Typing" and the spelling and grammer was just amazing....

Not being able to edit details may be a permissions problem...
    Repair Permissions
Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties,  then go to the Security tab and click Advanced. Use the Change Permissions... button grant to your account (or theUsers group) and SYSTEM full control of this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to Replace permissions entries... which will repair permissions throughout the library. When complete switch to the General tab, click in the Read-only check box to clear it, then click Apply.
If you don't have the option to change the permissions then use the Owner tab and Edit...button to take ownership from an account with administrator privileges. Tick the option to Replace owner on subcontainers and objects.
Repeat with the media folder if it isn't stored inside the main iTunes folder.
For tips on organizing content in iTunes see Grouping tracks into albums.
If you gave away/sold some of your CDs then you should also have deleted the ripped copies. You're only entitled to keep the ones that you have in storage.

  • Chase MasterCard issues with Apple Pay

I read back when Apple Pay was first rolling out, that only VISA issued Chase cards are comparable, but that MasterCard access would be added in March. It's now the second half of March, and I'm still not able to add my Chase debit card to Apple Pay. MasterCard's website says their cards work with Apple Pay. Chase's website says their credit & debit cards work with Apple Pay, yet my Chicago Bears debit card will not be added. It's extremely frustrating, and I'm curious when this will be able to be used.

Apple will not as they do not participate in and do not monitor this forum. And as you have correctly pointed out, nobody on this forum works for Apple,

  • IPhone 6 and apple pay pre-sale question

When will Apple Pay be rolled out to the UK?
Will I be able to get rid of all my Loyalty cards and store them on Apple Pay?
I have absolutely loads of cards and they drive me mad.
Will I be able to put my Boots Advantage Card onto it and collect and spend points with an iPhone 6 at checkout in store? Will I be able to do likewise with the Nectar card, Morrisons Card, Shell Card, plus any other loyalty and discount cards as well as my debit and credit card?
On an iPhone can you only store MP3's or can you store and play other formats like wav and ogg vorbis?
Do you have to buy all your music through iTunes or can you add your own music including mix CDs etc? I have noticed in the past not all mixed music transitions flawlessly from one track to the next in MP3 format. One of the many faults with this lossy music format.
Thanks for help answering any of these questions. I have an aging android at the moment. May consider switching to Apple.

  • Can not see Apple Pay in Passbook

When I click on Passbook, I do not have Credit and Debit Cards as the selection below shows, All I can see is Passes.
    I do have 8.1 and I do have a iPhone 6 Plus.
Thank you for any responses ahead of time

I had same problem and then I looked at this post. However, before connecting to my iTunes, I gave one last try and went to settings -> General -> Language and region -> Region Formats. I had set up my region as India as I use Indian languages for display purposes. However, when I changed the region back to US, I was able to get to the screen in Passbook where I could add Credit/Debit cards. So this was solved. Then I went back to settings, but the Passbook and Apple Pay menu was still not available. So I restarted the iPhone and it took me to screens as if I was starting for first time. After couple of clicks and setup, I was able to see the menu in settings as well. Btw, I am still able to use Indian languages with the region setup as US. So I am not losing my original functionality either.
Hopefully this helps for people with similar setup and do not wish to go through iTunes route.

  • Can not view the code for views, triggers or table definition

    Hello Gurus,
I can not see the code for any of the triggers, views, tables etc. in sql developer. For instance a view code will be
"create or replace" and then nothing, I could see the code in the past.
When clicking on SQL tab for table I get following errors
    1. Ora-00904 Invalid Column name
    2. Ora-31600: invalid input value emit_schema for parameter name in function SET_TRANSFORM_PARAMORA-06512: at SYs.DBMS_SYS_ERROR............................
    please advice.
    Thanks

Sqldev was only certified starting from 9.0.2, so it's possible that's the culprit. The latest update in the certification document even omits 9i entirely.
Did it start happening after upgrading sqldev? What version are you on?

  • How can I enable Touch ID for Apple Pay without turning Passcode on?

    I have an iPhone 6 w/ iOS 8.1.
I strongly dislike having to unlock my phone when I want to use it. Until I purchased the iPhone 6, I have never enabled a passcode. My phone is never out of my immediate control and when I want to access my phone, I want to access it immediately, not put in a passcode or wait for it to recognize my finger print.
There are separate settings for "Turn Passcode On/OFF" and for enabling the use of Touch ID for Unlock/Apple Pay/iTunes. However, if you turn off passcode, All three of the Touch ID Options are immediately disabled. Unlock makes sense, as your phone would no longer be "locked". However disabling Apple Pay and especially iTunes/App Store (since those purchases require you enter your Apple ID Password, NOT the passcode!) does not make sense.
The inconvenience of the extra unlock step every time I want to use my phone to do anything almost certainly will negate any convenience of using my phone to make purchases.
Am I missing a configuration? If not there should be a way to use Touch ID without having an unlock passcode!

NO in order to use the touch id, you need to enable a 4 digit passcode.
    No way around that.
Imagine when you lose your phone and the person who has it can access anything on your phone because it's an extra step to have to use the touch id or enter the 4 digit passcode to lock/unlock your phone.

  • Can't Set up to Apple Pay and can't find Apple Pay in my Passbook

I have updated my iPod Touch 5th Gen. to iOS 8.1. I can't set up to Apple Pay in my Passbook and can't Find Apple Pay in my PassBook in my settings.
How do I set this up for my iPod Touch?
In My settings My PassBook app is not Listed but it is listed in the Notification section, but my Passbook app shows  in my iPod Touch? How do I add or can I add the Passbook app into my settings?
How come my Passbook app isn't listed in directly in my settings like all the other apps?
I really want to have and use the new Apple Pay in my iPod Touch, I had watched the Keynote and they said that the Apple Pay could be used on the iPod Touch 5 along with the other Apple mobile devices? If the Apple Pay can't be used on the iPod Touch 5 then this is very unfair, I know for a fact that they said that the Apple Pay could be used for the iPod Touch 5!?

Who do we complain to and how do we get Apple to Allow the iPod Touch People to have access to Apple Pay?
Sorry, you are wrong. Apple did NOT say Apple Pay would be available on all Apple devices. Apple SPECIFICALLY stated that Apple Pay is available ONLY on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Previous Apple devices, including your iPod Touch, simply do not have the hardware chip (called NFC) to make it possible.

  • Unable to remove credit card from Apple Pay

I'd like to remove my credit card from the Apple Pay application on my iPhone 6. The instructions say to touch the card in the Passbook and then click on the "i." Then scroll down and touch "Remove Card." I tried that but the Remove Card link is not "hot," that is, nothing happens when I touch it.
Any suggestions or "work-arounds" to remove my card from the application?

I only had one card in Apple Pay and I decided to remove it. I did ao without issue. I did it on my iPad Air 2, not on my iPhone 5S which does not have Apple Pay. My point is that I only had one card in Apple Pay, not multiple cards.
Do you have any restrictions set that would prevent account changes. Settings>General>Restrictions.

  • Why can't I use my new IPad to pay in stores with apple pay?

I want to know why it is not possible to use your ipad mini 3 or ipad air 2 to pay with apple pay in stores. Why can you only use apple pay online with ipads and with iphones you can use them for in store purchases and online purchases. I mean I guess how it makes sense to apple, sense most people wouldn't want to bring there ipad a long with them to pay, but for some people, especially if you have the latest ipad mini which is like a phablet anyways, I feel like it would be nice if you could use it to pay in store with apple pay.

We have no clue as to what Apple may come up with in future models, but for now the snazzy tap&go allure of ApplePay can only be done using an iPhone 6 or 6plus.
Purportedly the rest of the devices can do thru-the-web Apple Pay-ment, but that's not as sexy and not as widespread.

  • No Settings Passbook & Apple Pay in iPad Air 2

I want to setup Apple pay on my iPad Air 2, which was received yesterday. I found the following instructions.
To set up Apple Pay on iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, open Passbook and follow the steps below. On iPad Air 2 or iPad mini 3, go to Settings > Passbook & Apple Pay and follow the steps below. blah, blah, blah ...
However, the question there is NO "Passbook & Apple Pay" in the "Settings". I'm using the tablet in Canada. Is there anyone know what should I do? Here is a snapshot for the settings screen.

    Hi David,
    Thank you very much.
Dose the passbook is also not available in Canada?
    thanks

  • Can I use apple pay in the itunes store?  it doesn't appear to be the case.

I'm trying to make a purchase on the iTunes store from my iphone 6 plus, iOS 8.1.3.  I have Apple Pay set up on this phone and want to use that credit card/Apple Pay but the iTunes store doesn't seem to accept this as a payment method.  Is this the case or have I missed something?  If not, why the heck not?
    thanks.

Payment methods you can use in the iTunes Store, Mac App Store, App Store, and iBooks Store - Apple Support
Apple Pay is designed to work with NFC terminals at physical stores.  Not for online Purchases.
You can set up the same Credit card you use for Apple Pay on your Apple ID for iTunes, and App Store purchases.

  • My iPhone six with iOS 8.1.1 will not allow me to upload credit card data to Apple pay

My iPhone six with iOS 8.1.1 will not allow me to add credit card data to Apple pay. It does not recognize my credit card in iTunes. I have I have set location to the United States, and restarted. Still nothing. When I enter the passbook app, hit the plus button, select set up Apple pay, select add new credit card,I get no response when trying to add credit card number expiration date etc., nor does the camera feature work. Bottom line is to date, I cannot add any credit card data at all.

I am guessing there is something about your situation that occurred outside the U.S.  Perhaps you purchased your iPhone outside the U.S., or live outside the U.S., ...
At the moment, Apple Pay only works in the U.S.

  • ALERT: CVS disabled NFC terminal to block Apple Pay in support of other Moblie payment systems

CVS has shut down their NFC machines in an attempt to block Apple Pay and Google wallet to support QR code wallet system with other major retail partners like Walmart and BestBuy.
Their technology not even close to being secure. Be sure to file complaints to CVS customer relations online. Just an FYI for you Apple pay folks who are trying to pay in CVS. It won't work. Lol. Plenty of articles online about it. Just a heads up for all you Apple Pay enthusiast.

I filed my complaint Friday with CVS due to the Retailer's own interest driving the Merchant Customer Exchange CurrentC Mobile Payment Product.  The Retailers primary focus is to reduce their payments to Visa and MasterCard.  The CurrentC Mobile Payment System is cumbersome at the Point-of-Sale, require QR Codes to be scanned by the Store Clerk or the Customer.  A second major focus of CurrentC is to collect personal information about the Customer for use in Retailer Marketing, unfortunately this data even includes personal Health Data.  I don't see Consumers flocking to the Retail Arena to use CurrentC.  The CurrentC Mobile Payment System began design and development back in 2011, but is not to market as yet.
