Apple, Please fix draft related problems,They are way too OLD.

There are numerous threads complaining about the draft issues in mail.app for years. Yet Apple shows no willing to fix them.
The most significant one is the IMAP draft issue. After you send a email, it still presents in your draft folder until you delete it manually.
Four representative threads for your reference:
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2020827&tstart=0
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=11644889&#11644889

http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=11482286&#11482286
The next one is excessive saved draft version. Every email I wrote probably generates at least 10+ saved version in my trash folder.
Apple, please take some efforts and fix these annoying issues.
Best,
A hardcore apple fanboy

First, as already mentioned, you're not talking to Apple here, you're talking to other users.
Second, none of my 5 IMAP accounts show the behavior you describe, and never have. Note also that several of the handful of people on the threads you refer to had their problems solved by unchecking the box that saves drafts on the server - a feature that seems utterly pointless to me, given that Mail has no facility for easily queuing mail to be sent later, and which is off by default. This does not sound like a bug to me.

  • Apple, please fix your connectivity problem for the iPad Air 2! Your OS 8.2 did nothing to fix this!! Very frustrating to not be able to connect to wifi some days!

can someone from apple please address the wifi connectivity problems with the iPad Air 2??

thank you for responding. My specific wifi issue is that my connection will disconnect then reconnect in a matter of minutes of each other. After an hour of this back and forth dance of connections it finally stays disconnected. I can go two weeks without  this issue then it will start up again for a day or 2. I have done all the basic troubleshooting.. Including checking and restarting my modem and router. Our iPad mini does not have these issues. None of our laptops/iPhones or xbox have connectivity issues. I have found many other iPad Air 2 users complaining of the same iconnection problems on various blogs. One blog had even discussed the ios update and how they were surprised it did not include a bug fix for this connectivity problem.

  • How do I re-size pictures taken with iP4 for email, they are WAY too big

They look great in iPhoto, nice and clear, especially the macro shots. However when I email a picture to a client the pictures literally fill up my entire 15" MBP screen and are so large they are fuzzy.
    Thanks a ton

I emailed the picture using my webmail hosted by iPage (non Apple host). But if I understand you correctly I can re-size the photo in iPhoto for future emails NOT using the iPhone OR if I want to send an email using the iPhone I can select a size option after?? selecting send? If after, hasn't the photo been sent already before re-sizing?
    Thanks for your help

  • Apple:  Please fix the "Other" problem with memory space

It took me 5 tries last night to get TomTom Installed cleanly on the iPhone. Each of the 4 times I tried - I kept getting gigabytes of memory in the "Other" category. The only way to get rid of the "other" memory is to restore the iphone - a 20 minute process in itself.
While syncing mostly anything to an iphone or ipod - if you make a change in the middle of a longer sync (for a large file) and push the sync button again - the sync starts over and the large file that it was working on becomes orphaned and part of the "Other" memory. Cancelling Syncs also result in this large portion of "Other" memory being taken up by whatever the sync was working on at the time of the cancellation.

After it happened the first and second time, with the same results, you really did the same thing two more times? Yikes.
Ever hear of the term "Idiot proof?"
Leaving aside obvious directions that could be taken...it may be that 'idiot proof' is not the goal here. Say you have a problem like this, and don't know the solution. Maybe you come here, so some devious helper like me can pad his post counts by answering your question (regardless of the fact that the number of posts means absolutely nothing, and I volunteer my time here in any case). But, maybe you go to the Genius Bar for some 'free' help. See that shiny new iPhone 3GS? That slick looking new MacBook Pro? Maybe you suddenly remember you were thinking of a new car charging cable or BT headset for your phone. Bam. A sale is made. All because the valued customer needed help with an idiot-vulnerable product. Just food for thought. <sarcasm>And one more post to add to my post count. Whoopee. I'm going to go celebrate now.</sarcasm>
Seriously, though, Apple generally does a good job of making user-friendly products. The iPod will be discussed in marketing classes for the next several decades as the poster child for that approach to product development.

  • Just installed iOS7 on iPhone 4.  Huge typing lag problem now.  Any fixes?  Apple please fix asap.

I just installed iOS7 on my new iPhone 4.  Huge typing lag problem now.  Any fixes out there?  How do I uninstall this update.  The phone worked better without it.  Don't even like the new layout and icon design.
    Apple, please fix this now!!!

    Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
     Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.
Here is a link to their contacts with most of the information below.

  • Apple, please fix audio problems with iMovie

Ok, I have many iMovie projects, about 10. In one project when I add music from iTunes I can control the tracks fade, volume, everything I'm able to control. This is also possible when I make a new project and add music from iTunes.
So, this is possible in one project and all new projects.
But when I try to add music from iTunes to an existing project (all other 9 projects) the audio controls do not work. I can't mute the iTunes mp3 I can't fade it, NOTHING. Having bought my $6000 mac primarily for iMovie you can imagine how frustrating this is.
    I've tried the following
    Re-installing software
    Deleting preferences
    Clipping audio in garage band
Using different music, including different file types, eg .WAV
It's obviously a bug apple, please fix it asap.

    Hi
This is a User to User forum - Apple rarely drops in to have a read.
Give them feedback if there is a bug (that can be repeated)
    How about this.

  • A plea to Apple please fix slow finder, slow "save-as" options, slow address search in mail

Like many I am adding my voice to those whose finder has slowed to a crawl, it takes many seconds for it to "see" a folder.
I found one fix to the above at http://osxdaily.com/2013/11/13/fix-finder-slow-high-cpu-use-mac-os-x/which basically resets the com.apple.finder.plist file.  Thanks to the user who posted this.
And the "save-as" function that is also very slow.  I have seen some work-arounds but I am not comfortable messing around in Terminal and would probably forget to get rid of a turn-around when an OSX update comes.  So apple please solve this.
The mail problem is similar.  It is now quicker to drag an e-mail address from contacts into mail than typing in a name!  Apple please fix.
None of these problems were there with Mountain Lion and judging from the hundreds of posts out there, it seems it can only be a Maverick issue.
    Thank you.

    Charles Gloor wrote:
I am in OSX Mavericks discussions so not sure where you get the "Which iPad" item from.
I surmise it was from the link you provided.
Most problems reported on this site are directly attributable to incompatible system modifications and poorly written or otherwise ill-conceived utilities. They exist in roughly the same proportion that have existed with every OS X upgrade since Jaguar, at least. Apple has no way to fix problems caused by software they did not develop and cannot control.
If you are interested in solving your problems more information is required. Start by ruling out hardware defects, including an impending disk failure that would cause the symptoms you described. Back up your system if you have not already done so.
To help determine the possible causes of this behaviour read the following. None of what follows is intended to fix anything, but it will provide the additional information required to advance troubleshooting, assuming you are interested in doing that.
Boot OS X Recovery by holding ⌘ and r (two fingers) while you start your Mac. At the Mac OS X Utilities screen, select Disk Utility. Select your startup volume (usually named "Macintosh HD") and click the Repair Disk button. Describe any errors it reports in red.
When it finishes restart your Mac and test again for operation. If it's still not behaving as you expect it should, please post the results of EtreCheck in accordance with the following instructions:
Apple Support Communities contributor etresoft wrote a very useful app to quickly gather certain system information that may help point to a cause of this problem. Go to his website, download and run EtreCheck:
    http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck
Etrecheck will be in your Downloads folder. Open it from there. You may see the following dialog box:
Click Open - etresoft contributes to this forum frequently and can be considered a trustworthy developer.
It will take a moment to run as it collects its data.
Copy and paste its output in a reply.
Do not be concerned about anything that says "Problem" or “failed” or anything else that may appear in red.
EtreCheck was designed to remove any personal information (such as your computer's name and serial numbers) but if you see anything that looks like an email address or any other personal information that should not be divulged to others, please delete or obscure that information when you post the reply.
When you are finished with EtreCheck, quit the program. It occupies very little space, and you can keep it or drag it to the Trash as you wish.
After completing the above please determine if the problems also occur in "Safe Mode":
Safe Mode or "Safe Boot" is a troubleshooting mode that bypasses all third party system extensions and loads only required system components. Read about it: Starting up in Safe Mode
You must disable FileVault before you can start your Mac in Safe Mode.
Starting your Mac in Safe Mode will take longer than usual, graphics will not render smoothly, audio is disabled on some Macs, and some programs (iTunes for example) may not work at all.
Merely starting your Mac in Safe Mode is not intended to resolve the problem, it's to observe its performance without certain additional components.
To end Safe Mode restart your Mac normally. Shutdown will take longer as well.
System performance problems for reasons that cannot be isolated to any other cause justify an SMC reset. Be sure to read the procedure carefully and follow all the steps exactly as written, even if they seem inapplicable or trivial.

  • Play count still doesn't work with 3.1.3. APPLE PLEASE FIX THIS!

    APPLE! PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM!
I am getting tired of having to try an remember what episode of my shows I was on! I'm an avid anime watcher who queues up whole series' on my iPod Touch 3g 32GB and go to watch 12 episodes or so, connect the iPod, disconnect, go back to series, pow! they all report they are unwatched! Btw, I use Manually Manage Music settings, not auto sync.
Same thing with my music. I know I have listened to one song at least 40 times, and still the play count is at 2. Because iTunes remembers to count it but can't remember to count the iPod's count when it counts.
This is probably a REALLY EASY FIX, you guys are just so lazy to not fix this problem and say that Apple products have the best customer support?! If you want to boast that please fix the simple problems! I have a 70 episode series I'm starting soon and I don't want to have to right down where I left off.

  • Apple, Please Fix Your Cinema Display Adapters Already

I know this is not a new issue since there are already topics identical to my problem.  I bought my Cinema Display in 2007, since then I have had to buy 3-4 power adapters.  When they fail the screen goes black, then you unplug it and it works for a short time but as you keep using it the time they work keeps decreasing.  My question here is why, Apple, have you not fixed this problem which  I have had for the last 5 years?  The other issue besides money spent is my computer is basically worthless until Apple sends me the new part.  I either have to have a backup power supply for the Cinema Display or have a different brand monitor as a backup.  Apple, please fix this problem, I like the display, fix the adapter.

    Brian,
I had this same issue and finally found a prefPane called SwitchResX that addresses the issue that I wish Apple had. It is designed to many other things but I only use it to deactivate a second display and it seems to work well for that.

Do you have a smaller capacity micro SD card to try? I seem to remember from past posts that users were having problems with cards larger than 32GB, however, Apple's page doesn't mention this.

  • Connecting external drive crashes iMovie 8 - Apple please fix this!

If I have external drives connected when I start iMovie 8 it will crash when it tries to index them.
Also if I have no drives connected and iMovie 8 running, the program will crash as soon as I connect a drive.
Apple, please fix this! I need to use external drives for storing of my videos.

Are your external drives formatted as Mac OS Extended / HFS+ ..? They should be.
If they aren't, you'll have to remove whatever's already stored on them, and then re-format them using Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility. You can then put back what was stored on them.
(P.S: I have NO crashes using iMovie '08 and any correctly-formatted external FireWire drives. I don't use external USB drives, as they're not fast enough for the sustained read/write speeds which video requires.)

  • APPLE PLEASE FIX: iTunes7 Music Crackling

Does anyone have a huge problem with their music crackling when they play itunes on their computer. It is just when I use itunes on the computer...my ipod is fine.
    APPLE PLEASE FIX
Dell Inspiron 5100 Notebook   Windows XP

This has happened to those of us who have updated their ipods to ITunes7. I installed and uninstalled the application several times. Even went to the ITunes Store to purchase music and it was just as crackly as the rest of my library. What the in world. I have corrected the problem by simply deleting the all existing ITune libaries and reinstalling the original software that came with my Ipod. The only other issue if you have not set your ipod for "enable for disk use and manually update", you will have to restore your ipod to original status. Starting all over with a back up of the current library. Click the don't ask me box until problem resolved. Good Luck.

  • To Apple: Please fix iPad Air Wi-Fi Bug

    Apple,
Please fix the iPad Air's Wi-Fi bug that has been in the IOS 8 operating system. This bug is causing the iPad Air to freeze constantly inside Wi-Fi-enabled apps and Safari. It is also causing settings to freeze constantly when going to get connected to the Wi-Fi. The best way to fix the freezing and connection problem is by restarting the iPad every time it loses connection and freezes.

    Hi SweeseM,
If you are having issues with your iPad becoming unresponsive when using Internet applications, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
Force an app to close in iOS
Next, I would try restarting and if needed resetting the iPad -
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPad as a new device -
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Best,
    Brett L
