O2 in the Uk are a dreadful network.
Just today their entire data network failed. Across the entire country. And O2 are still being coy. Please see this report http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8161938.stm
One user phoned to complain and was told it was "congestion issues"
"Congestion Issues"? Now I've heard it all. O2 agree to take the iPhone 3G, O2 don't have a good 3G network in place, O2 are told by Apple (correctly) that the iPhone is going to transform the way mobile users access data, O2's iPhone 3G sales are hugely bigger than expected at the launch of the 3G, and a year later, O2 blame "congestion issues"?
Blimey, no wonder me and several million others are looking forward to the end of O2's exclusivity.
Please, Apple, bring it on.

Ever since I updated to ios 6 on my iPhone 4S, iTunes Match has not worked.
I have been through the process of deleting my iTunes control files, and that worked temporarily, but now I cannot listen to music through the service.
It shows my artists and albums, then takes forever to access the songs (often more than 10 minutes - and yes, that's using WiFi), more often than not crashing before it gets to that point, then repeatedly crashing when I try to open the Music App, so I can't even access things I've downloaded.
Has anyone else found a solution?
Apple, please listen up - I am paying you for the iTunes Match service that is utterly useless. Fix it please.

After some troubleshooting, I decided to order a new battery. I replaced the battery and was then able to get it to restore, however--after I restore it and it comes time to restart the phone, it gets stuck and doesn't turn on.
Sorry, your repair ruined the iPhone.
She does not have apple care and even though she loved this device, she isn't going to buy another iPhone because of all the problems shes had with this one (it's just over a year old).
After you ruined the iPhone with DIY, Apple won't touch it anymore. You should have asked before all these had happened.
I'm an android user myself and I love rooting/flashing new ROMS, so if jailbreaking her phone or doing some kind of super-restore with 3rd party programs might help, I'm all for it-

I really hope they are seeing the success of the iphone app store and readying a similar platform for the Apple TV. Along with new hardware capable of 1080p.
After using Pandora on the iphone, it only makes me want it on the Apple TV even more!

Yes, you do have to be at your computer to rate a song but that's true with iTunes music as well. I find it annoying that you can't rate music that's being played on the Apple TV. Time to go submit more feedback to Apple....

Despise The New Itunes - Apple - Please Listen To Customer Feedback!

I have never registered any feedback with apple before - always been a big fan of all of their products - but the new itunes makes me very angry. I was literally trembling with rage when I saw the changes that had been made!
It is:
-slow
-has added unneccesary features
-has no scrolling artwork - this was one of the best features of the old itunes!
-has added pointless miniplayer
I hope apple takes onboard the overwhelmingly negative response to this version of itunes and at least gives those of us who want it the option to revert to an earlier version.
Are so many cosmetic revisions necessary? I just got comfortable with version 10.
I encourage everyone unhappy with this new version to make your voice heard. Let apple know (in a civil manner of course) that itunes 10 was pretty great and that no revisions were necessary.

Pourquoi ne pas laisser le choix aux utilisateurs de masquer ce dont ils n'ont pas besoin? Coverflow était la carte de visite de Itunes, c'est en ce qui me concerne, la raison du choix d'apple. Ipod, Ipad, Itouch ont suivis... mais je vais réviser mon choix quant à l'achat d'un nouvel Imac. C'est dommage, car le disign et les dégradés en couleurs m'avaient séduit dés l'ouverture d'Itunes 11 ... avant de me rendre compte que le principal n'y était plus !!!???. Cela aurait été splendide adapté au coverflow!

How to link to a certain part of a page ect... If it wasn't for all the people who answer our questions, I for one would be screwed! Much can be done now in iweb3 but the iweb team has kept everything 'close to their vest'.
I know how to get thru and into iweb with javascript widget, I hinted here:

I only use Image Capture, so I can't speak for other software.
Here is how I select a Scan To destination:
If you are using the minimal details screen, you should have the same submenu to the left of the page size.

The iPhone bought unlocked from the Apple store in the US will work in Brazil on GSM. Nevertheless the LTE frequencies might be different.
Be aware that:
You will NOT be able to order from the US Apple online store. You will have to go to a physical Apple store in the US.
The warranty is only valid in the US and you will not be able to get warranty service in Brazil.
With all of that, why not buy the iPhone in Brazil?

Touch id doesn't work after update ios 7.1 APPLE PLEASE HELP!!!

Touch id scanner dead after update 7.1. Tried remove fingerprints but cannot add new fingerprint because the touch id scanner DEAD. Tried rebooting the device and touch id scanner still doesn't work. For somehow the scanner works when the iphone is charging even it works slower than before the ios 7.1 update. APPLE PLEASE FIX THIS!!!
FYI : I am not going to try backup and restore my 5s, for the last time i bought this 5s i already tried for 2DAYS and cannot restore my old iphone 5 data to my new 5s!! I give up and lost all my DATA! Cannot find any answer from apple support. REALLY DISSAPOINTED WITH APPLE!

Ipod not connecting again, apple please read this.

First let me state that I made posts awhile back about my Ipod touch not being able to be recognized by itunes at all and just as a camera by windows. Now every single guide did nothing to help and the FEW people that posted had posted things I already did that did not help.
HOWEVER the version of Itunes that was prior to the one I just downloaded connected PERFECTLY with no issues.
But I just updates and wouldnt you know it, the connection problem is BACK. Apple please read this, the last version of Itunes had something different with how it connected to the Ipod...PLEASE bring that back, its so inconvenient not being able to connect to my own Ipod
If someone wants to post a reply that might help feel free...but everything on this website and even a few others not posted here have not worked, this is mostly me praying that Apple reads it...that tiny difference on how it connected made a huge difference with my computer.

Thanks. I worked out a simpler method of turning off the internet access - just switching off my wireless modem. Either way, this works and with the PC not connected to the internet, all three Apple devies will sync.
Thinking about it now, I had a similar problem a few versions ago which I recognised because with Home Sharing on and connected to the internet iTunes was trying to find files from someone in another hotel room who also sharing the hotel's wireless network. My devices would not sync then either. This seemed to be resolved with subsequent itunes upgrades until now ....
Thanks for the advice. Let's hope Apple's next 'update' actually updates itunes so it can sync Apple devices whilst simultaneously connected to the internet (not a big ask really).

Apple, please release an enterprise grade SDK that allows IT to secure and management the iPhone in the same manager that other mobile devices in the corporate world are being done. We have a duty to our business to maintain the same level of control, management, and security across mobile devices.
Here is what the iPhone SDK needs:
* Ability to run background processes
* Ability to change device settings and modify data that is outside of the application sandbox model
* Ability to force a download and installation of an application (such as anti-virus)
* API's into device wipe function and system functions such as application start/stop, device lock/unlock
* API's for initiating device wipe, intercepting attempts to start/stop other applications, and control over device lock/unlock.
Making these available will help IT allow the iPhone to become adopted with the corporate world. Until then, the iPhone will remain a consumer device.

Hulu, Netflix and my personal videos have been working fairly well on appletv. Suddenly, without warning, they have all failed. My subscription via my apple ID is on automatic renewal, so the issue of non-paid services does not arise. On the other hand, YouTube is working perfectly well on appleTV.
Several solutions offered in the discussion group such as setting the appletv on sleep mode are not technical solutions. Rather, these solutions offered remind me of analogue age, when one had to hit the side of a TV set when reception failed.
In my case, I am using the same HD TV set that has been working all along. A new cable has failed, but if I am told to pay for an advice related to a fault that is not mine, I would rather buy a set box that is void of appletv or apple.
Apple please give a clear, well defined technical solution on the problem with your device, and to be specific on the following error:
"This content requires HDCP for playback"
I know what HDCP is, and one cannot say that this is related to a dynamic code that evolves with time, failing at a time of its convinience.

With respect to your question "When will Windows 8.1 be supported on Boot camp 5?" you are asking us to speculate as to when Apple will release their drivers supporting Windows 8.1. We do not know, and we can not speculate as to when. From the terms of use of this forum:
"Unless otherwise noted, do not add Submissions about nontechnical topics, including:
Speculations or rumors about unannounced products."
The planned dates of production or release of Windows 8.1 drivers are speculation about the drivers.

Apple, please address this issue!!! Searching and special characters

I've found at least one other topic here regarding this issue, but Apple has yet to address it, or even confirm that it's in fact an issue.
A big portion of my library consists of international artists, many who have special/nonstandard characters in their names (e.g. "Tiësto"). In previous versions of iTunes, I could search for "Tiesto" (note the absence of the umlaut over the 'e') and all of those tracks would appear. However, after upgrading to iTunes 9, I'm forced to search for "Tiësto" in order to view those tracks.
Thinking about this issue, it would seem that this is normal behavior, as an artist named "Pàz" isn't necessarily the same as "Paz". But the reality is that NO ONE wants to take the time to search for the alt-code of a special character, and then type it in. Additionally, most people (including me) have a number of reasons for not renaming the artist to conform to standard characters.
Clearly, something has changed between iTunes 8 and 9. And it's incredibly frustrating. A big chunk of my library is virtually inaccessible to me now, unless I search for terms that don't contain special characters.
Apple, **PLEASE** address this issue. I'm not the only one with the problem and it's become a huge pain in my side to have to work around this.

I don't see how it's sloppy or why there should be any reason that it shouldn't have given you both.
Even putting aside that gracenote and others don't have consistent spelling in their databases, that when you download from the iTunes store, who knows what you're going to get, so that one's library could be all over the place and one might not even notice it, accents and other markings don't change the fact that a u is the same letter as ú.
Yes, it's pronounced different. Yes, the difference is very important. But it's the same base letter. And even if it's considered a different letter in another language, in English we have 26 letters and all the accents and tildes and umlauts don't make them a new letter, which is what we're talking about here.
It's a huge pain that looking for an album that has "Zürich" in the field and I type in "Zurich" I can't find it. I have to think about if I really do have that album, maybe I deleted it by accident, etc. And then I think to type "rich" and then it pops up.
That's way too many steps. I don't know keyboard shortcuts and I don't want to learn them. In English, it should be letters, not characters, that count.
