I will use myself as an example. In my car i have a Pioneer headunit with ipod control, and ipod controller cable. this works perfectly with my iPhone (thank you apple :)) now if im listening to music from my iphone through my head unit when somebody calls me, it automatically turns my music down, and plays my ring tone through my the headunit/car speakers (thank you again apple, extremely handy)
now here is where the request starts. when i answer the call, it channels the callers voice through the internal earpiece. and when i press speaker, it channels the call through the internal speakerphone speaker. the dev request is, that when an iphone is plugged into an ipod control head unit, and you press speaker on a call, that it channel the audio from the call through the head unit its plugged into in the same fashion that it channels the ring tone through the head unit when sombody calls.
Would this be possible in an update to come apple?

Thank you for this information. Since I have yet to see any Apple employee respond to any post, one would think it would be naive to assume that they do.
In years of posting, I have yet to have any representative contact me. Can you share your situation with us, and how it got resolved? I would be interested to know how you were able to have someone actually contact you.

Apple PLEASE Read This! When using Grab, why does Saving only allow ONE Format...Tiff?

It would be nice for Apple's Grab program to offer multiple formats for saving. I understand why they offer only Tiff but when I have a problem and I need to grab part of the screen or even the whole window, most Discussions require jpg or png formats. It takes too much time to save in Tiff, go to the save file location and open the file using Preview, and then saving the file in another format that I need for my own purpose. WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME!
I could use the Print option and first I may need to use Scale to fit the image on one sheet in stead of 4-6 pages (can be 25% scale for a one page screen save), and then open the PDF drop down button, choose "Open PDF in Preview", preview the image, and if it looks ok, I save as a PDF file. I could then open the PDF file in Preview and save the image in another format depending on my need. WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME!
I am surprised that, in a Search of the forums, no one has brought this up.
Apple save us a bunch of time and give us other save formats! PLEASE!
Others please chime in and maybe Apple will get the message.

Keep in mind that many (if not most) non-techies will never memorize (let alone use) a 3-key sequence when they have a handy-dandy utility that makes so much sense to them. Grab does fill a very useful gap for the vast majority of Mac users - why make it so unfriendly in this regard?
Wow, you should re-think that one. I think the opposite to be true.
And, if you use a free 3rd party app, i.e. TinkerTool, you can not only change the file format for screen capture, but also the default location for the files.
I think that most people think of Grab as dinosaur software.

In a future version of iTunes please make it that when you select multiple songs you can still access the OPTIONS features in the Get Info tab. Thank you.

Ipod not connecting again, apple please read this.

First let me state that I made posts awhile back about my Ipod touch not being able to be recognized by itunes at all and just as a camera by windows. Now every single guide did nothing to help and the FEW people that posted had posted things I already did that did not help.
HOWEVER the version of Itunes that was prior to the one I just downloaded connected PERFECTLY with no issues.
But I just updates and wouldnt you know it, the connection problem is BACK. Apple please read this, the last version of Itunes had something different with how it connected to the Ipod...PLEASE bring that back, its so inconvenient not being able to connect to my own Ipod
If someone wants to post a reply that might help feel free...but everything on this website and even a few others not posted here have not worked, this is mostly me praying that Apple reads it...that tiny difference on how it connected made a huge difference with my computer.

Thanks. I worked out a simpler method of turning off the internet access - just switching off my wireless modem. Either way, this works and with the PC not connected to the internet, all three Apple devies will sync.
Thinking about it now, I had a similar problem a few versions ago which I recognised because with Home Sharing on and connected to the internet iTunes was trying to find files from someone in another hotel room who also sharing the hotel's wireless network. My devices would not sync then either. This seemed to be resolved with subsequent itunes upgrades until now ....
Thanks for the advice. Let's hope Apple's next 'update' actually updates itunes so it can sync Apple devices whilst simultaneously connected to the internet (not a big ask really).

Hi,
This is FM for extended program checking. Description of implemented tests when making the test selection.
This same same as the extended program check of the SE38 program.
Open any program in ABAP editor.
Goto program->check->extended program check.
Select the check boxes and execute. It displays all the error and warning of the selected crieteria. Now you can check all these error conditions. The FM is for achieving the same functionality

Dear Apple,
I really like the idea of the iPhone, but it's just too fragile. I need a phone that has a rugidized clamshell design, and all the buttons on the outside of the phone are automatically locked when the phone closes. It also needs to have that phone charm hole in the top of the phone. See, I keep my phone in my front pocket and I attach my keys to the charm hole. That way I can't loose my keys, and I always have them for opening boxes at work. Because of my work, my phone gets beat to death while still in my pocket. My keys swing and hit it, it falls out of my pocket constantly, I balance heavy boxes on the front of my hips (where my phone sits), so I can't have an iPhone as it exists right now.
So here's my ideas. I have a Samsung Rugby, so let's start there. The iPhone Rugby should be wider and thinner, so the touch screen has the room to get bigger. When the phone is open, the bottom is the touch screen, the top is a regular screen, kinda like a DS. All the buttons on the outside of the phone are all located on the sides of the phone, no buttons on the front. And the only button that works when the phone is closed is the volume button that turns the ringer off when you don't want to answer that call.
The touch screen on the bottom should default with the usual 2abc 3edf format with T9 so when I'm balancing boxes in my left arm, I can text with one hand. The top screen can pivot and turn sideways for those that want a Qwerty, but I personally prefer T9. One hand texting is really important for me.
So when you figre out how to make a ruggid clamshell that won't pocket dial, doesn't require locking your buttons, has a piece I can attach my keys to, and can withstand being hit and dropped and beaten, let me know. Thanks.

Me! Who Else?- Actually, My usage on the IPhone tops all your concerns/Issues/Ideas. I have a landscape construction company (as a second income) where the work and preform activities that make your durability concerns seem minor. I keep the IPhone in my pocket (sometimes with a cover, the otterbox brand+ a zagg invisible shield, sometimes without) and frequently carry paving stones, concrete debris, tools of all shapes and forms, get thrashed around in my skid steer (bobcat) and generally grind the IPhone into the these tasks and more! I keep the screen towards my leg side and it has been the only phone I have owned to even make it close to lasting the duration of my three year cell contract! I have dropped the phone in sand, loam, clay mud, and once into wet concrete! A quick dust-off with compressed air and wipe was all it needed.
On an aside, I went ski touring this past winter and forgot to take the phone out of my sweaty pants for the ascent up and nearly soaked the IPhone with sweat. I dried the phone on the front defrost of my car when we returned and I (and my friends alike) were amazed that the IPhone had better reception in the Rogers Pass area (in Canada) than all the other phones.
I work as well in a hospital as a professional (Nurse) and use the IPhone there as well for calculations and reference.The Iphone is perfect as it's smooth, nearly buttonless features allow me to clean the phone effectively with bactericidal wipes at the end of each shift. Imagine a flip phone, or a phone with all those nooks and crannies for viruses and bacterias to hide? Disgusting!, considering there are so many keyboards in the hospital. Maybe the IPad will make an appearance in hospitals one day?
Anyways, I dispute your ideas and challenge them with my own experiences!

There are many of us who have upgraded and installed the new version of itunes 7.0. From within the itunes store, if you select either television shows or movies, many of us are getting an error message that states, "itunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer". My question is simple, why is this occurring? Does the new version require more computer power that previous versions? Come on Apple, we know and see you browse these discussions. The courtesy of a reply would be appreciated.

To be honest, I've never tried what you're doing. However, I
have used xml (most rss feeds are built on xml anyway, right?).
Look into the different xml functions available. Then, once you
figure it out, you can use something like the code below. I'd look
more into the xml in flash if this is what you want. Hope that

TOSHIBA Please Read - Beta Testing and Developer Community

Hello Jim,
I wanted to respond to your posting about the status of the update but the thread has been locked, so I started a new one. Anyway, I was wondering if there was a chance that we could get a beta test version of the software provided to experienced and brave individuals that can report back to the dev team with various issues and bugs to be fixed?
The public beta will not only appease the people angry at Toshiba for missing the deadline for the update, but also provide necessary feedback to the development team that can be used to create a more feature complete update. As an Android developer myself, I would take every oppurtunity to report bugs and issues and even provide code to help implement fixes for various issues if said source is availible. I believe it would be a great idea for Toshiba to create an open source development community on these forums and to provide us with bleeding edge code for us to implement and mess around with.
Such communities already exist on various sites like XDA Developers but not with vendor support, if Toshiba provided a vendor-supported developer community around the Thrive and other Android devices such as the Excite and Folio. With a vendor supported community, we would have a place where Toshiba can make better software for the devices and developers and brave regular users can participate in the process of getting updates for our various devices. I believe that moving away from such a closed development environment would not only help Toshiba develop better devices and software, but also give the company a leg up on its competitors who do not have such a community pitching in allowing for better software to be coded.
I hope that this message is read by someone at Toshiba that can make this happen, as the benefits are truly mutual, since Toshiba would be getting better software for its devices and developers get the resources and code needed to turn Toshiba into one of the best supporters of this great open-source project.

Thanks for the thoughtful message. Your points are well made and, while I don't disagree that there are mutual benefits, Toshiba has no current plans for directly building or supporting a developer community.
On the other hand, private beta testing for the Thrive product line was first launched last summer and I expect it to be ongoing as major software updates reach reasonably usable states within the development process. However, you won't see discussion of beta testing in the message boards because beta testers are under NDA.

I have a brilliant suggestion and didn't know where to post it but here it is.
I work at a pharmacy. The program we are currently using is called PDX Pharmacy. I'll be honest with you, it *****. It takes a million steps to complete one simple task. My main issue is clearly this program's user interface. We use this program on a daily basis and it is used on our windows based PCs. This program is what prints out the information for our prescription labels. I hate it so much. I guess what I'm trying to say here is that Apple is known for their outstanding graphical user interface and I know that you geniuses over there in Cupertino can come up with some great stuff. Please hear me out on this: make me a pharmacy prescription filling program for the family owned pharmacy that I work for!

IMovie 10.0.5 crashes into millions of colored pixels when I add v/o narrative using Pages to read script from and using a USB mic attached to my iMac. I am running Mavericks OS X10.9.4

Hi, I have been editing a project for a week and over the past 2 days iMovie 10.0.5 has crashed into millions of colored pixels about 6 times. I am working on a 27" iMac running OS X 10.9.4 with 6GB of Ram, plenty of space on start up disc (217 GB's) The crash seems to coincide with any effort to use an external USB mic plugged in to record a narrative. I can record the voice over but a few minutes later I get some awful audio scrubbing sounds and then it pixelates. Why is this happening and how can I work around this to record a voiceover please? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm nervous to continue if my work is going to ultimately be lost. My project is currently about seventeen mins and includes, video clips from 2 different cameras (both Canon) a music track from iTunes and some still images (jpegs.)

If nothing else, this huge list of updates and fixes, shows clearly that the Logic Dev team is working hard on fixing and improving LPX to a major degree.... and from the list of fixes done.. show they do read the bug reports submitted!
As an aside....
I recall how all the 'naysayers' prior to LPX (and in some cases, since...) were proclaiming how Logic was dead, the team was being disbanded, we won't see any further development, the Dev team doesn't listen or care... and so on....... I wonder where those people are now?

Script task error during the creation of partition by reading a table and using AMO - SSAS 2012

Hi,
I need to create SSAS (tabular) and process partitions in an authomatic manner. Moreover, the partitioning is respect to a category, an year and a month.
Category, year and month are resident on a table to read to create the SSAS partitions.
So, in a SSIS pkg:
a. I've created a data flow task to read the SQL Server table having category, year and month data,
b. I've connected the output of the ole db source as the input for a recordset destination, associated to an object variable,
c. I've used a for each loop container (ado enumerator) specifying the object variable and three variables, for category, year and month,
d. inside the for each loop container I've created a script task using AMO (visual basic) to control for any existing partitions, if not presents to create the new ones and then to process them.
For the first iteration, a new partition has been created and processed successfully, but then, for other category, year and month values the script task fails. I've controlled the code many times and I've tried to put returning messageboxes but I've found
anything. The error is a generic one and no other info are returned.
Well, any suggests to me in order to solve this issue, please?

Can I use internet sharing to give internet to my Apple TV through my Macbook and use Airplay on the same computer at the same time?

So I am using internet sharing from my Macbook to my Apple TV. The router providing internet to my Macbook has an ip address that looks like 192.168.0.x. Since the internet sharing feature assigns an ip address that looks like 192.168.2.x to my Apple TV, the Macbook is unable to see the Apple TV ("different" networks). Is there a way around this so I can share internet and still be able to use Airplay between the two?
BTW I am using a Macbook Pro Retina 15'' (late 2013) on Mavericks 10.9.1 and Apple TV 3.

How to log out of my OLD apple ID on my 4s and use my new one?

When updating my iPhone 4s to the new ios7, my imessage stopped working as many others did. I finally got that fixed and as soon as that was fixed.. NOW my old apple id keeps popping up instead of my new one. I made my old one 5 years ago when i first got my macbook. How do I log out and stop using my old apple id?

To change the iCloud ID on your phone you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted. If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you have to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your phone, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

HT1386 Can I delete an Apple ID from my iPhone and use another one instead?

I have used a family member's Apple ID and now I have my own and would like to sync my iPhone with my new ID. Can I do that and keep the apps I have already downloaded? They are all free apps but I can get them again if needed. I just need to know how to get the new ID on my phone.

You will keep the Apps you have, but you will not be able to update them unless you sign back into that Apple ID.
Go into Settings > Store, at the bottom select your Apple ID, sign out, and sign in with the new one.
