Ipod not connecting again, apple please read this.

First let me state that I made posts awhile back about my Ipod touch not being able to be recognized by itunes at all and just as a camera by windows. Now every single guide did nothing to help and the FEW people that posted had posted things I already did that did not help.
HOWEVER the version of Itunes that was prior to the one I just downloaded connected PERFECTLY with no issues.
But I just updates and wouldnt you know it, the connection problem is BACK. Apple please read this, the last version of Itunes had something different with how it connected to the Ipod...PLEASE bring that back, its so inconvenient not being able to connect to my own Ipod
If someone wants to post a reply that might help feel free...but everything on this website and even a few others not posted here have not worked, this is mostly me praying that Apple reads it...that tiny difference on how it connected made a huge difference with my computer.

Thanks. I worked out a simpler method of turning off the internet access - just switching off my wireless modem. Either way, this works and with the PC not connected to the internet, all three Apple devies will sync.
Thinking about it now, I had a similar problem a few versions ago which I recognised because with Home Sharing on and connected to the internet iTunes was trying to find files from someone in another hotel room who also sharing the hotel's wireless network. My devices would not sync then either. This seemed to be resolved with subsequent itunes upgrades until now ....
Thanks for the advice. Let's hope Apple's next 'update' actually updates itunes so it can sync Apple devices whilst simultaneously connected to the internet (not a big ask really).

I will use myself as an example. In my car i have a Pioneer headunit with ipod control, and ipod controller cable. this works perfectly with my iPhone (thank you apple :)) now if im listening to music from my iphone through my head unit when somebody calls me, it automatically turns my music down, and plays my ring tone through my the headunit/car speakers (thank you again apple, extremely handy)
now here is where the request starts. when i answer the call, it channels the callers voice through the internal earpiece. and when i press speaker, it channels the call through the internal speakerphone speaker. the dev request is, that when an iphone is plugged into an ipod control head unit, and you press speaker on a call, that it channel the audio from the call through the head unit its plugged into in the same fashion that it channels the ring tone through the head unit when sombody calls.
Would this be possible in an update to come apple?

In years of posting, I have yet to have any representative contact me. Can you share your situation with us, and how it got resolved? I would be interested to know how you were able to have someone actually contact you.

I have a brilliant suggestion and didn't know where to post it but here it is.
I work at a pharmacy. The program we are currently using is called PDX Pharmacy. I'll be honest with you, it *****. It takes a million steps to complete one simple task. My main issue is clearly this program's user interface. We use this program on a daily basis and it is used on our windows based PCs. This program is what prints out the information for our prescription labels. I hate it so much. I guess what I'm trying to say here is that Apple is known for their outstanding graphical user interface and I know that you geniuses over there in Cupertino can come up with some great stuff. Please hear me out on this: make me a pharmacy prescription filling program for the family owned pharmacy that I work for!

Dear Apple, Please Read This

Dear Apple,
I really like the idea of the iPhone, but it's just too fragile. I need a phone that has a rugidized clamshell design, and all the buttons on the outside of the phone are automatically locked when the phone closes. It also needs to have that phone charm hole in the top of the phone. See, I keep my phone in my front pocket and I attach my keys to the charm hole. That way I can't loose my keys, and I always have them for opening boxes at work. Because of my work, my phone gets beat to death while still in my pocket. My keys swing and hit it, it falls out of my pocket constantly, I balance heavy boxes on the front of my hips (where my phone sits), so I can't have an iPhone as it exists right now.
So here's my ideas. I have a Samsung Rugby, so let's start there. The iPhone Rugby should be wider and thinner, so the touch screen has the room to get bigger. When the phone is open, the bottom is the touch screen, the top is a regular screen, kinda like a DS. All the buttons on the outside of the phone are all located on the sides of the phone, no buttons on the front. And the only button that works when the phone is closed is the volume button that turns the ringer off when you don't want to answer that call.
The touch screen on the bottom should default with the usual 2abc 3edf format with T9 so when I'm balancing boxes in my left arm, I can text with one hand. The top screen can pivot and turn sideways for those that want a Qwerty, but I personally prefer T9. One hand texting is really important for me.
So when you figre out how to make a ruggid clamshell that won't pocket dial, doesn't require locking your buttons, has a piece I can attach my keys to, and can withstand being hit and dropped and beaten, let me know. Thanks.

Me! Who Else?- Actually, My usage on the IPhone tops all your concerns/Issues/Ideas. I have a landscape construction company (as a second income) where the work and preform activities that make your durability concerns seem minor. I keep the IPhone in my pocket (sometimes with a cover, the otterbox brand+ a zagg invisible shield, sometimes without) and frequently carry paving stones, concrete debris, tools of all shapes and forms, get thrashed around in my skid steer (bobcat) and generally grind the IPhone into the these tasks and more! I keep the screen towards my leg side and it has been the only phone I have owned to even make it close to lasting the duration of my three year cell contract! I have dropped the phone in sand, loam, clay mud, and once into wet concrete! A quick dust-off with compressed air and wipe was all it needed.
On an aside, I went ski touring this past winter and forgot to take the phone out of my sweaty pants for the ascent up and nearly soaked the IPhone with sweat. I dried the phone on the front defrost of my car when we returned and I (and my friends alike) were amazed that the IPhone had better reception in the Rogers Pass area (in Canada) than all the other phones.
I work as well in a hospital as a professional (Nurse) and use the IPhone there as well for calculations and reference.The Iphone is perfect as it's smooth, nearly buttonless features allow me to clean the phone effectively with bactericidal wipes at the end of each shift. Imagine a flip phone, or a phone with all those nooks and crannies for viruses and bacterias to hide? Disgusting!, considering there are so many keyboards in the hospital. Maybe the IPad will make an appearance in hospitals one day?
Anyways, I dispute your ideas and challenge them with my own experiences!

Apple PLEASE Read This! When using Grab, why does Saving only allow ONE Format...Tiff?

It would be nice for Apple's Grab program to offer multiple formats for saving. I understand why they offer only Tiff but when I have a problem and I need to grab part of the screen or even the whole window, most Discussions require jpg or png formats. It takes too much time to save in Tiff, go to the save file location and open the file using Preview, and then saving the file in another format that I need for my own purpose. WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME!
I could use the Print option and first I may need to use Scale to fit the image on one sheet in stead of 4-6 pages (can be 25% scale for a one page screen save), and then open the PDF drop down button, choose "Open PDF in Preview", preview the image, and if it looks ok, I save as a PDF file. I could then open the PDF file in Preview and save the image in another format depending on my need. WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME!
I am surprised that, in a Search of the forums, no one has brought this up.
Apple save us a bunch of time and give us other save formats! PLEASE!
Others please chime in and maybe Apple will get the message.

Keep in mind that many (if not most) non-techies will never memorize (let alone use) a 3-key sequence when they have a handy-dandy utility that makes so much sense to them. Grab does fill a very useful gap for the vast majority of Mac users - why make it so unfriendly in this regard?
Wow, you should re-think that one. I think the opposite to be true.
And, if you use a free 3rd party app, i.e. TinkerTool, you can not only change the file format for screen capture, but also the default location for the files.
I think that most people think of Grab as dinosaur software.

Someone from apple please read

i know a few people are having this issue, but i though i would make a personal appeal.
i have an iphone 3g and i loved it, worked brilliantly, then yesterday itunes tells me there is an update for my iphone, so i update it, as i always do.
now i have an awful piece of technology.
1. it is slow to do anything
2. the battery life is terrible now.
3. apps hang for a while when opening and closing.
4. some times apps hang and cause the phone to reboot.
5. typing is laggy from pressing the button to it appearing on screen.
please please let me downgrade it on my PC to 3.13 so i can use it easily again, as it is just frustratingly slow and irritating.
i have rebooted the device, and also reset it back to scratch.

There are many of us who have upgraded and installed the new version of itunes 7.0. From within the itunes store, if you select either television shows or movies, many of us are getting an error message that states, "itunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer". My question is simple, why is this occurring? Does the new version require more computer power that previous versions? Come on Apple, we know and see you browse these discussions. The courtesy of a reply would be appreciated.

Look into the different xml functions available. Then, once you
figure it out, you can use something like the code below. I'd look
more into the xml in flash if this is what you want. Hope that

How Iphone theft can be stopped (Apple please read this)

Its good to hear all the time that apple has come up with an anti theft feature which has reduced theft of this lovely device by so much of percentage, but its still happening. Lets understand, if your iphone is stolen you put it on the lost mode and keep waiting for it to appear on Find my iphone. We are quiet confident that nobody other than us can erase this device (because of icloud password), which is by far true, but what if the stolen phone is dismantled and its parts are sold separately.
Therefore, what I want to propose to apple is that every hardware in iphone should have a unique no. which is read by the operating system everytime its restarted and if any part is replaced from one phone to another then iOS should ask for the unique no. which should be entered only once at the time of replacement and this unique no. for each part should come as a part of operating manual in the iphone box. I am sure theft will be over by almost 99%.
I lost my brand new iphone 5s within 24 days of purchase which hits me inside like anything and I really feel that when you buy such an expensive phone then there should be something done for its security.
Hope apple will surely consider the same and bring something on this ground soon.

There is already an anti theft device on the iPhone called Activation Lock which is very practical and seems to be working well, if recent press reports are to be believed. What you are suggesting is way beyond the scope of reality and would not deter thefts. I'm sure that a very low number of iPhones are sold for their parts. It probably is a measure of last resort on the part of thieves.
Security for your phone is ultimately up to you and not the manufacturer. You have been given the tools to help. Whatever happens to your phone in the end is your responsibility and no one else's.
If you still want to tell Apple, tell them yourself, as no one on this forum works for Apple and Apple does not monitor this forum.

Okay ive been thinking and i believe apple can do some upgrades to the trackpad in a software update to do even more amazing stuff for example:
-how about you touch the four corners of your trackpad to turn off your laptop
-or three corners for restart
-two corners for log out
any comments?
is there any way i can send this info to apple?

Okay I have a bit of a beef. I have a lot of media building up on my laptop, and I have an external, so no biggie, right? No. What I am requesting Apple to do is make a MINUTE change to iTunes so that I can pull different KINDS of media from different LOCATIONS. This way, I can keep all my music on my laptop so i can listen where ever I go, and yet I have all my movies and tv shows feeding out of my external when I sit down to watch them. I think this would solve a lot of problems not only for me, but for everyone else who hasn't even realized it yet and is slowly hitting the "ZERO KB" zone. Thanks!

You can store your movies etc on an external hd. Make sure you've deselected "copy files to library when adding to iTunes library" in the general preferences menu. The just drag your files from the external hd into your iTunes library to link them.
