Apple please upgrade iMovie HD for iLife '08 feedback submitted

Its one of the easiest yet flexible movie making apps. I've got projects in progress and lots of archived projects and it would be nice to have the backwards compatibility.

When you install iLife 08 and iMovie version 7 the installer moves your iMovie 6 version to a new folder.
You can continue to use iMovie 6 after the iLife 08 install.

I used to have iMovie HD installer for iLife 08 saved on a flash drive which is now destroyed...I got it from Apple's website, but now I cant seem to find it. If someone could help me find it so I can have iMovie on my eMac, I would greatly appreciate it.

Will apple ever update imovie software for the desktop

In the Fall of 2010, Apple released iMovie 11' and since the release of the iPad, they seem to only be creating updates for iMovie on the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch!!! I want to know if Apple is going to update it on OSX.

The last update to iMovie '11 (to version 9.0.8 if I remember correctly) was in Sep 2012. iMovie is in the App Store.

Apple, Please fix Expresscard slot for MBP 6.1

Apple,
This isnt one card, this is all Expresscard slot cards. YOU have rendered with Mavericks, a dead input slot. I have $5k of gear that I cant use since upgrading. Please fix.

While I appreciate your responses, I would prefer this thread not get bogged down with noise. I dont have any (apple) points and I dont play ping-pong against a wall. Your a Nikon guy, so I will be nice.

Apple please upgrade te charger wire material... It's getting dirty and tearing

We really need some upgrade material in charger wire ..and headphone wire..... It was usable moreover fr 6 months... It getting dirtyyyy... And melting due to sweating ......please we need NYC material... Tis was te drawback

Can apple please change the plug for macbooks back to the fatter one? The skinny one is way too hard to unplug.

I recently had to replace my power adapter for my Macbook Pro, and the shape of the plug that goes into the wall socket on the new one is ridiculously skinny. It is always hard to plug it out and I end up having to get my fingers way too close to the socket holes to get it out. Apple should really have tested this for its usability.
I'm not sure how many people have this problem, but it is really annoying and quite dangerous.

i have been browsing on ipad app
viewbook portfolio
and
WeddingPhotos by Wami Agency
i seen the review are mixed because of support issues and also i seen that both this app can become one app.
i wonder if apple have a plan to mix this in or make a new app in iOS app store.
to explain it, it would be great if I, as a photographer, could share my albums inside a program like viewbook portfolio
and able to create an app for it, and then people can be refer to it and download it from app store.

- me
     - make album on viewbook like program (maybe apple made)
               - the album then saved as an app
                         - people can find and download it from app store
                                 - and works on both iphone and ipad....
maybe also on macbook, since mountain lion will behave the same.
i dont know if this already been discussed, but i would buy this feature on icloud or iphone
or anything apple produce. i dont think viewbook or any other program could do better.

Apple has no control over HBO or over what HBO enables in all.
Due to what a mess licensing media is, HBO might not have the right to do hdmi out either.

Please include iMovie HD 6 in the next version of iLife. It is a great product and very different from iMovie '08. If necessary, call it (or iMovie '08) by another application name. I miss many of the features of iMovie HD 6, but the lack of plug-in support is the most disappointing. For example GeeThree's Slick plug-ins are amazingly powerful and easy to use. I've created several movies for friends and in the process convinced a few to be 'Switchers.'
If you don't include iMove HD 6 in the next version of iLife, I suspect that you will eventually stop supporting it. However, based on the recent feature additions ('add backs') with the Leopard 10.5.2 update, I'm confident that you are listening and responding to customer requests.

You are acting like iMovie 06 is obsolete. iMovie 06 is _very much_ alive and well. Most owners of iLife 08 I know use iMovie 06.
There is only one logical answer. The next version of iLife (09?) will have to include iMovie 'elements' (Based on iMovie 08) and iMovie 'Pro' (Based on iMovie 06). I for one, would gladly pay over $100 just for a iMovie 'Pro' (Based on iMovie 06).
I look forward to an upgrade of iMovie 06, (iMovie Pro?) until that time Apple still provides us with excellent tools with BOTH iMovie 08 and iMovie 06.

Installed iLife'11 but can't upgrade iMovie

I recently updated iLife'11 and installed it...Now I am unable to upgrade iMovie Garageband to the newest version as it says you updates available for other accounts...I installed it from a DVD disc that I purchased from Apple...help!!!! very very annoying and frustrating!!!!

Thanks I already tried it and when I try to install the package there is an alert that states that I should install the version thats on this mac from the Mac App Store...I orginally installed it from a iLife'11 disc...so there is no username attached to the download...experience similar issues with Garageband...any help will be appreciated.

Actually, if you are updating the free iLife apps (iPhoto, iMovie & GarageBand) that came with your new Mac, the updates are free. Only if you are upgrading to newer major paid versions would you be charged.

How to upgrade to iMovie 10 for free?

When I try to upgrade from iMovie 9 to 10 in the App store it shows that I have to pay $14.99 to install the latest version of iMovie!
Also, for Garageband I have to pay $4.99. But for iPhoto I upgraded for free!
I am not sure if the App store can't recognize my apple ID, but I need help to upgrade to iMovie 10.
Note: I Have Yosemite Version 10.10

While reinstalling it , When I click link to install iTunes it immediately says '' thank you for downloading iTunes'' but I don't find it in my system.
I have tried all suggested option to solve it but all in vain. Please help me to get rid of this problem

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.
