Apple policy on inappropriate content for iBooks

Hello,
I have an idea for an iBook that I would create using iBooks Author, and plan to distribute via the App Store (or the iBooks Store, or wherever it ends up when you submit it via Author).
However, I've been warned that Apple has a policy on inappropriate content and, having spent time and effort on creating this iBook I'm concerned that it may be rejected without an obvious reason being given. Examples of past censorship seem to have included references to gay images (no nudity - just two men kissing), and even censorship of text.
I have also found references to "Apple's policy on inappropriate content" on non-Apple sites that offer an iBook creation service, but I can't seem to find that policy on Apple's website.
Is there a resource anyone can point me to to prevent me wasting a huge amount of time and money? I'm thinking specifically of policies for the enhanced iBooks with embedded video files.
BTW - I'm not talking about *********** or offensive text content. But there would be mildly "adult" video material that I would put on a par with something you might see in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Definitely no nudity.

You might search the ibookstore for "adult" and see if things are already there similar to what you are planning.

Open the App Store app, go to the Featured pane, swipe to the bottom, tap the Apple ID and sign out. Tap again and sign in with the Apple ID of your choosing.

Apple FairPlay DRM protected, paid for, iBooks readable on OS X?

I was amazed to learn just how many folks are furious about this limitation that Apple's FairPlay DRM encryption of iBooks purchased on iTunes with a MacBook, are only readable on an iOS device.
My Google search on reading paid for Mac iBooks revealed that there are many threads on this subject on many web pages
The only solution I have found so far is to buy books on Amazon. is there some solution other than that?
Interesting that Apple's Feedback choices do not even show iBooks as a possible feedback option.

I completely understand the desire to not be limited to the device you can read eBooks on, and most eBook readers I know will also agree. However, the majority of those same readers will also say they do not care to read eBooks on their computers, which is, most likely, why Apple presently only allows reading of eBooks purchased throught the iTunes store on iDevices. Additionally, most of the heavy readers I know don't use iDevices, they use e-ink devices to read. The people, like yourself, who want to read eBooks on their computers are actually a rather small minority of readers.

Wrong content for iBook bought on pad but not phone

I've have downloaded a book and been reading it on my iPhone, have just gone in to continue reading on my pad, only to find a completely different book inside the cover??? My nice romantic chic book has been replaced by something about the war and Afghanistan????? Please help and advise.

New iPads for my kids. Best way to share certain apps, iBooks, music, and to keep them away from inappropriate content.

We purchased ipad minis for my two kids this Christmas (ages 6 & 8). I have been working on setting them up so they are ready to use. I created gmail accounts and Apple ID accounts to use for messaging and FaceTime only. I put restrictions so they can not use email, Facebook, Twitter, Safari, etc. I plan on using a kid friendly browsing such as Mobicip. The part I am getting hung up is being able to put certain things on their iPads from my wife's iTunes account. We have decided to use her account to sync with their new iPads. Obviously, the kids will not have access to her password on iTunes. She has very few game apps on her ipad. I would like to add fun appropriate kid games to her iTunes account to sync to their iPads, but not my wife's. The same thing with iBooks and music. Some of my wife's books are not kid appropriate. I know you can create playlists to share music. What is the best way to go about setting up iTunes? Any other things I am forgetting to keep inappropriate material from curious kids.

I don't want her to authorize to my iTunes account. I set up a separate one for her.
You'll have to authorize her system to your iTunes Store account if there is content other than music that you want her to still have. Movies, app, etc. are locked to the account through which they were purchased, so if there is any such content she wants, you'll either have to authorize to your iTunes account or she'll have to repurchase that content. Please note that authorizing her computer to your account will not allow her to purchase new content through your account.
If there's nothing but music in iTunes Plus format that you plan to give her, then the issue of authorization doesn't apply.

Your purchases are tied to your Apple ID. If you bought all of the books with the old ID then AFAIK you will have to continue to use that ID in order to continue to sync those books to the iPad.
You have to update the app with the old ID so I don't see how you could keep the books with the new ID. Maybe I am wrong about this, but someone else will chime in I'm sure and correct me if I am wrong.

Can we create an overarching Apple ID for discovery/managing/playing content for our pre-K kid?

I own several for work—and personal Apple devices and have been using one Apple ID to discover, manage and play content. This content consists of items that are (1) work based (2) personal based (3) family/child based (e.g. Monsters Ink).
I purchased an iPad Mini for my husband at Christmas, and he purchased an Apple TV for the family— and now we are perplexed at how to manage assets that are "family" based without purchasing them twice. Essentially want apps, movies and music related to our pre-K son on both of our devices. Otherwise managing this will quickly become a nightmare of who owns what on which decive.
Can anyone recommend how to do this?

An iDevce can containt content for multiple Apple ID's, there is no reason to purchase content multiple times.
There is no such thing as "sub" accounts.
Simply manage the content on the devices.

As I mentioned earlier, the main time when this becomes an issue is if you need to do something involving associating a computer with a particular AppleID. Careful management of your collection should minimize this situation.

"Your Apple ID can have up to 10 devices and computers (combined) associated with it. Each computer must also be authorized using the same Apple ID. Once a device or computer is associated with your Apple ID, you cannot associate that device or computer with another Apple ID for 90 days." - Additionally instructions for "Removing an associated device or computer from an Apple ID"
So the first account is really "yours" and you are setting her up with her own account? It helps to know this because if both are "hers" then there isn't an issue with her having full access to both accounts. If in 10 years she moves 2000 miles away and she is pretty much independent then you may not want her to have full access to your AppleID just so she can authorize a device.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Check that the HDMI cable is correctly seated at both ends.
Try disconnecting the cable and connecting it again.
Try another HDMI cable.
Make sure your TV supports HDCP
Try the Apple TV with another TV

PI / XI content for SAP APPL 6.04?

Hi guys,
I would like to use the Business Partner functionality (create, read etc) in SAP PI 7.1. We currently only have PI content for SAP APPL 6.03.....but the SYNCHRONOUS interfaces I really want are in SAP APPL 6.04.
Here are the interfaces I need to use...

There is only an ABAP / SAR file download from the service marketplace for 6.04.........for 6.03 there is both the ABAP and XI related content download.
Does anyone have any idea when the SAP XI / PI will get content for SAP APPL 6.04?
I know the interfaces are synchronous and that they will be available on the SAP Backend system if I load the SAP APPL 6.04 there. And then they would be available through transaction SOAMANAGER etc......but we are wanting to use XI as the central repository for our interfaces, and then generate ABAP proxies in the SAP backend.
Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated

See the note #1152640 SAP NetWeaver 7.1: Importing ESR content. This contains the links to the location of all PI Content. I believe SAP APPL 6.04 is now available.

HT2589 ibooks still gives me the following error message "This Apple ID cannot be used for the iTunes Store."

I've done all of the above suggested sign in methods, and yet ibooks gives me the following error message "This Apple ID cannot be used for the iTunes Store."

Found this in the forums here, it works.
"OK...I think I have found a solution. In settings, select tunes & app store. click on Apple ID> View Apple ID>Payment Information. It appears it is not saving or requiring payment information to be updated. This worked for me."

Creating content for the iBooks store

Where can I find out about creating content for the iBookstore? Is this store open to individuals like the app store is? Thank you for any help you can offer.

Sorry, no, I don't know how a company signs up with the iBookstore. I've not seen Apple say anything. I can only presume that either Apple approached the largest of the existing aggregators as they did the large book publishers, or those aggregators contacted Apple and were able to get to someone within Apple, but who that person might be I don't know.

Go to https://appleid.apple.com and sign into manage your apple id with any apple ids you have access to and see if you're account is either an alternate email address or a rescue address. If it is, remove it. Have family members or friends check theirs, if they have apple ids, just in case.

You'll need to speak to someone in account security. They'll have to go through a verification process with you, in order to reveal information. If you fail that process, they will be able to tell you nothing.

Excel 2013 - disable "scale content for a4 or 8.5 x11" paper sizes" deploy via group policy

In office 2010 and 2013, the option "scale content for a4 or 8.5 x11" paper sizes" is enabled by default in word and excel.
I need to be disable this option on all machines, since it conflicts with our printers and doesn't allow us to print.
Ideally this should be done by group policy as our users change very frequently.
I have found the policy to disable this option in word, but can't find a similar policy setting for excel.
Any idea how I can resolve this?
