Apple rss feeds on my site

on my site I would like to have apple's hot news feeds on my site which I receive in mail

I don't know about iPad Mail, but there are numerous RSS feed viewers you can download from the app store such as NetNewsWire, for example.

    Can I post rss feed on to site muse site?
    How?

    Please refer to Zak's response here :

    Additionally , you can check third party tool like RSSinclude - Embed RSS Feed in Website, RSS Feed Widget PHP which helps to embed RSS feed to your site.

  • Apple RSS feeds of the support forum discussions

    This may be off topic a bit but there is no forum for my question...
    I'm trying NetNewsWire Lite to get RSS feeds from these (Apple) discussions. The problem is, in NewNewsWire the shortest time interval between auto updates is 30 minutes. I understand that Apple's feeds only send the last 10 items. In many forums there are more than 10 posts in 30 minutes so some of the posts (threads) are missed.
    Is this correct? There's got to be a way around this???
    Thank you in advance for your reply.

    As explained above, the shortest interval you can set for updates is 30 minutes. There are more than 10 threads posted to the group in that time (in some forums), therefore, even if you set the app to check as often as it can you will still miss some posts...
    And yes I can manually update but I don't sit at my computer 24 hrs a day...
    To get all the posts for very busy forums it would have to refresh every 5-10 minutes and I don't know if there is a reader with the option to check that often.
    Again, is anyone using a reader to read this much activity???

  • Display RSS feed from external site on my page

    HI,
    I need to know if it is possible with CFMX7 to grab rss feeds
    from a remote location and just display it on my site?
    How to?

    well, cf8 has a new <cffeed> tag... and though i have
    not ever needed to
    use it (i prefer to create my feeds manually), it is
    *supposed to* make
    creating and consuming (readin) rss and atom feeds a
    breeze... but
    judging by many a blog posts, it is not without bugs...
    google <cffeed>, and check out ray camden's blog at
    coldfusionjedi.com
    for many posts on this tag
    but there is really nothing stopping you from using
    <cfhttp> + <cfxml>
    tags in cf7 to achieve what you want...
    as for porting cf7 apps to cf8 - it is usually painless, but
    depending
    on the complexity of your server/hardware configuration, it
    may require
    close attention to minute details
    just to check if you code runs fine in cf8, there is a code
    analyser
    available in cf admin.

  • How to get RSS feed url for site?

    Is there a way to get the RSS feed url for a blog using Safari?  I'm currently using FF for this since it is very simple.  But that's about the only reason I use FF.  Would be nice not to need two tools.
    I don't want to subscribe to the site in Safari.  I have an RSS Reader app that I plug the url into.  I just want to see the url.

    For some reason they removed that handy feature from Safari. But, there is an Extension called RSS Menu, which will add a button on your toolbar, giving you that function back.

  • Safari 2.0.4 can't detect RSS feed from my site.

    Good Day!
    This morning I craeted and posted a short Podcast. It is located at:
    www.debbierosemyers.com/resources
    There is a link to the Podcast called Podcasts. When I click the link, it opens in Safari as tons of text. I cannot get it to download as anything but a text file.
    When I open it in Netscape, the file downloads to my desktop and open in iTunes with no problem. My friend was also able to download it from a Windows based machine as well using Explorer. I seems to work in Firfox as well.
    I just can't figure out if I created the file incorrectly or if there is somehting in Safari that I have set wrong. Can someone help me out?
    Thanks!

    took me a second to figure out what you were asking...plus your posted link was missing some pieces.
    Anyway, you have a link to an .m4a audio file. Browsers have a set of file extension associations that tell the browser what to do when it comes across a specific file type...prompt you to download it, open another application, etc... In your browser there should be a preferences or settings area, look for something called MIME Types or File Types...most likely the .m4a file type either doesn't have anything associated with it, it's set improperly or its not in there at all.

  • Missing images in embedded RSS Feed

    I am using iweb for my wife's site. She has been and is more comfortable using Blogger for her Blog. I embedded her RSS feed inside her site, but not all the images that she posts on Blogger are showing up. I have her RSS feed going through Feedburner and the images are showing up there. I've verified the feed and the only conclusion is that there is something in iweb that is preventing showing more than one image per post.
    I've tried everything and I'm trying to tell her that Apple is the best thing around and she's about to give up.
    thanks in advance with any suggestions.

    Happens that I just recorded a video on this (and more aspects of saving files). It's a bit on the long side:
    https://vimeo.com/117691712
    You can ask whoever send this to you for the images (would be best) or you can copy them from Illustrator CS6 or (which I think is the second best solution) use Photoshop to get them out of the PDF.
    Open the PDF in Photoshop, then select the tab "images".
    But view the video first, so you know why this happens at all.

  • RSS feeds widget broken?

    Is anyone else having problems "waiting for reader.mac.com" with the RSS feed(s) not updating?
    I  have 2 different web pages that aggregate RSS feeds from several sites and this afternoon they all went dark...
    Google shows it's come up before, but not showing any definitive solution.
    I've tried with multiple browsers, multiple devices, in and out of my network.  All get the same thing.

    apple had pulled the plug on mac.com and me.com.

  • How do I add RSS feeds into my website (created in Muse)?

    Hi i am redoing a website for a client and previously the website was created in Wordpress (I pressume) and I am now working in Adobe Muse. Previsouly they had a simple text based RSS feed from various websites displayed in columns on their site. Now they want that again, but I am new to muse and website designing and need some help, I do not even know if my terminology is correct.
    Maybe I should describe what I want: I want the headlines of posts from other independant sites to appear as a clickable link on my site with the date under it. and as new articles is posted on these outside websites, my "Interesting links" coloumn on my website must also update....
    I hope I am making myself clear...
    thanks a mil

  • How to display a simple rss feed?

    Hi,
    I've build a simple application that has a httpservice called rss that calls "http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/GlobalBusiness.xml" and retrieves the rss feed. Under test operation I can see it returning the feed.
    When the init() function is called the httpservice is called and passed to a datagrid.
    However, when I run it I get the following fault.
    Security error accessing url
    Destination: DefaultHTTP
    In the console I get the following messeage:
    Warning: Domain www.nytimes.com does not specify a meta-policy.  Applying default meta-policy 'master-only'.  This configuration is deprecated.  See http://www.adobe.com/go/strict_policy_files to fix this problem.
    Error: Request for resource at http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/GlobalBusiness.xml by requestor from http://localhost:8888/Newsroom-debug/Newsroom.swf/[[DYNAMIC]]/4 is denied due to lack of policy file permissions.

    [Unload SWF] /Newsroom-debug/Newsroom.swf
    I have checked different posts online and in this forum describing crossdomain.xml and settings in the flash player global settings to resolve this issue, but I can for some reason not get it to work.
    I want to be able to take rss feeds from any site and display them in a simple datagrid?
    Any suggestions?
    Below is the application code.

        </fx:Script>
        <fx:Declarations>
            <s:CallResponder id="getDataResult"/>
            <rss:Rss id="rss" fault="Alert.show(event.fault.faultString + '\n' + event.fault.faultDetail)" showBusyCursor="true"/>
        </fx:Declarations>
        <mx:DataGrid id="rssGrid" width="500" dataProvider="{getDataResult.lastResult.channel.item}" >
            <mx:columns>
                <mx:DataGridColumn headerText="Feed" dataField="headline" />
                <mx:DataGridColumn headerText="description" dataField="description"/>
            </mx:columns>
            </mx:DataGrid>
    </s:Application>

    OK.
    Tried out your suggestion and it works!
    Thanks saisri2k2
    1) I created an http service which calls a php file:
    <mx:HTTPService
                id="rssNewYorkTimes"
                url="php/newyorktimes.php"
                result="rssNewYorkTimes_resultHandler(event)"
                resultFormat="e4x" />
    2) The php file then gets the feed and passes it back to the rssNewYorkTimes_resultHandler:
    <?php
      $feed = 'http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/GlobalBusiness.xml';
      $rawfeed = @file_get_contents($feed);
      print $rawfeed;
    ?>
    3) the resulthandler then processes the feed and puts it in an arraycollection that can be passed to the datagrid:
    protected function rssNewYorkTimes_resultHandler(event:ResultEvent):void
                    var xmlList:XMLList = event.result.channel.item as XMLList;
                    for each(var item:XML in xmlList)
                        rssCollection.addItem({title: item.title, description:item.description, source:item.link});
                    buildRss();
    Thanks also to Chris Black for his post which explains in detail how this trick is done!

  • How to get rss feeds in mountain lion mail

    I don't see any way to get Apple RSS feeds to show up in Mountain Lion like the previous OSX. Does anyone one know how?

    You don't. apple has removed the RSS feed features from Mail and Safari. You have to get a third-party RSS reader now.

  • RSS Feed error in Google Reader

    Like a number of people I have been having some publishing issues with iWeb since the introduction of MobileMe. I've managed to solve a number of them, but I still have a lingering issue.
    I'm finally able to subscribe to my rss feed on my site, and it displays in Google Reader, but if you try and click on the blog entry in Google Reader it will not take you to my site. Instead it says the page cannot be found.
    When it tries to redirect to my blog, from google reader, it adds "www" into the address. However, since setting up the personal domain I no longer have "www" in the address. I thought I had made all the correct adjustments in my MobileMe account and with Go Daddy. However, I still have this one lingering issue with Google Reader.
    Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on how to fix this? Am I missing something simple? Or, am I just wasting everyone's time...
    Thanks.

    What is your web page? The RSS Feed button is not necessary to click on in Firefox. Mainly, you will see an icon either in the address bar that looks like a satellite ( it also depennds on the theme you use) or on the bottom right hand side that lets you know there is a live feed for the page. When you click on that icon, you have the option to subscribe.
    http://www.shatteredthought.com
    If you use firefox you'll see what I mean. However, I have the same problem but I just narrowed it down to my webhosting company, so I am switching companies soon. Just got two new domains and will be transferring this one to them.

  • RSS and non-dynamic site

    I maintain a website at cableone.net. I contacted them and
    they said nothing dynamic can run. So I'm stuck with HTML. I had an
    idea of RSSing a blog into a webpage, but I can't do dynamic. Is
    there any way to display an RSS feed into this site?
    Thanks.

    >thanks for the link. Sorry if I asked it before, I'm
    inundated with my own questions lol.
    No problem. I just tried that link I sent and the site looks
    like it's down. It's been that way since yesterday. I was reluctant
    to even mention it as a viable option because it just adds another
    point of failure. What is the reason that they won't let you run a
    dynamic site?

  • Adding external RSS feeds

    I have a forum as well as a main website. The forum generates its own RSS feed and I would like to add this to the home page of my website so I can display a box with the latest posts from my forum. I have seen many things on Google about creating your own RSS feeds from scratch but I can find anything about adding a remote RSS feed to a site in DW. Is this possible to do?

    How are you running IPB right now?  Are you paying for a hosting package or do you have a license that you can install it anywhere?
    If you are just running a forum through them without buying a license and you don't have PHP available to you with the rest of your hosting then that could be an issue.  The only other way it could be done is probably with Javascript or there may be a JQuery option to run it, but it will be coding the pages manually rather than going through DW.
    Now with XAMPP if something did not uninstall properly, I would recommend downloading the installer package again, running it and then uninstalling it.  It really won't leave security holes on your machine unless you setup your firewalls to allow external access to your ports.  By default I believe XAMPP changes the port from the default of 80 to something else for the website.  Personally speaking I've used WAMP on Windows and MAMP on Mac.  I have not had much luck running the XAMPP packages for Windows or Mac myself.
    To set up the test server, all you really need to do is select the server model.  The rest is if you have a testing server that you publish to before the site goes live, or local/network if you are testing locally on your computer, in which case the path would be the path to your defined site folder.  However, if you select None for Access, you won't be able to test the page before putting it on your website.
    Lastly when you uploaded to your webserver did you upload all associated files to make this work?  That is the PHP document which is where you want the feed to go, the XSL document which contains the feed and formatting, and the "includes" folder that DW creates with an MM_XSLTransform folder and file.
