Apple's answer on verification tax I.D.

I've been waiting for over 7 days on apple's answer, regarding to my tax ID has been submitted for verification.
Does anyone know if this is normal? I've got some books I'd like to publish, and I thought it would be much more faster. There are a lot of people questioning me already. Can someone help?

I've tryed, there's no option for contact with them.
Anyways, I thought forums was to get help from more mature ones.

You've checked the spam folder on your rescue email account and tried clicking the reset link again to re-request it ? You could also contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

I'm trying to set up Apple ID 2-step verification in Canada.
Everything seems to work just fine, and I've added several trusted devices, and printed my recovery key, etc.
The problem is that the website suggests adding SMS-capable devices as trusted devices.  So far I've tried three different devices, with 3 different carriers, and none has received the verification SMS message from Apple.  I've waited more than 24 hours for it to arrive, and it doesn't.
No problem sending SMS messages to these three phones from the

i'm on telus and having same issue.
i knew this was an issue back in 2013 when this feature launched but since then Apple has officially listed Canada and most of it's carriers on it's supported list for two step sms verificiation so i thought the issue would have been solved.

I forgot my apple security answers, how do I get it back?

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page should let you reset them : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 link above to add a rescue email address for potential future use

  • Apple iTunes overcharging on sales tax.

I reside in Tennessee where sales tax is 9.25%.  I am being charged an extra 2 cents or so in tax on an average album purchase.
Here is the most recent example.  I bought Ryan Adam's iTunes Session album at the price of $7.99.
    Here's the math:
    $7.99 X 1.0925 = $8.729, or, rounded up, $8.73.
iTunes charged me $8.75. Why?  It's an extra 2 cents and is an overcharge, no matter the small amount. I've looked at my account and this has happened on every iTunes purchase for at least 5 months.  I didn't check back any farther, as obviously something is wrong, unless there is an additional tax I am not aware of.
Can anyone explain this?  I don't want to think the worst about Apple, but it's hard not to calculate that 2 cents multiplied by millions is a lot of money. Hopefully, there's another explanation.

I recently noticed the overcharge on Memphis sales tax recently when I bought books as gifts.  I contacted customer service and got the "check with your state for the rate" answer.  I work in sales tax and know the rate...I have made MANY online purchases that were taxed correctly.  It's not that much $$ for one customer, but if you put it all together it would be material.  AND if they remit the "correct" amount and COLLECT the "incorrect" amount, which is the way most tax programs work (sales x rate), they may be making a little extra $$ on collecting a few cents on transactions.  Frustrating.

  • I have amended my email address recently on my Apple ID and the verification email has not been received.

I have tried several times to verify my Apple ID account, but the verification email never reaches my new email address. I changed the user name on my Apple ID after changing my email addresses and that seemed to work fine. But despite being able to view all my apps on the list available for download they are blocked as I have to verify my account.
Any ideas how I can get a work around?

If you knew your Apple password, yes, you could.   Until you change the email in iTunes, Apple still has the old email.
I find it odd that you have an iPhone 5, but don't remember your Apple ID.
Your Apple ID and password are needed fairly often.
If you forget your Apple ID password, the method to recover is to use your emergency email or answer security questions.
Start there, but do not repeated login or you will get locked out, (your ID can be disabled by Apple.)
If all else fails you will have to call Apple and prove you are the owner before they will help you.

  • Apple ID and Email Verification Conundrum

    Email Verification Conundrum
After updating to iOS 5 yesterday on both my iPad and iPhone, I was forced to create a new Apple ID because iOS 5 only permits email addresses as Apple IDs. My previous Apple ID was NOT an email address.
Anyway, I created a new ID, and subsequently went through an email address verification process which was messy and confusing.
Problem is, I now have two Apple IDs: one that I used everywhere until yesterday (and that I used to register as an Apple Developer), and the new one created yesterday for my iPad and iPhone in-store purchases. But I can't purchase or download anything - because it tells me I haven't verified my Apple ID. But I HAVE. If I click the OK button to review instructions on how to verify my Apple ID, I am informed that my email address is already verified for another Apple ID (presumably my original ID - the one I used to register as a developer).
I only use the one email address. How can I resolve this conundrum?
If I change the Apple ID I use on the iOS Developer Center, will that screw up any of my existing certificates or provisioning profiles?
And even if I do change my Apple ID on the iOS Developer Center, will that solve this email verification dilemma?
    Any help appreciated.

Thanks for your response but still no joy:(
Yes I had already read the FAQs, but hadn't found that first link you suggested.
I followed that, logged in with my old (non-email address) Apple ID and things looked promising. The instructions looked straightforward and I'm presented with a panel inviting me to "Make your Apple ID and primary email address one and the same"
    So I click "Submit"...
I then sign out and try to sign back in using my email address ID but it fails with the message...
"Your Apple ID or password was entered incorrectly"
Perhaps I have to allow time for Apple to process my request?
Perhaps the fact that I am attempting to modify an old Apple ID to a name that matches an existing newer one is just not possible?
Perhaps I have to dump my other new ID first - before attempting to change the other one?
    Anyway...
    The conundrum continues
