Apple's in-store priority list

hey, so i signed up for the priority list on monday at my local store here in NJ for the iPhone 4 and have yet to hear anything back. has anyone had any luck with said priority list? i can't get a straight answer out of anyone re:if the phones are even coming into stores, haha.
thanks!

This is annoying me as well.
I went on the list at the new Apple Store in Newcastle (UK) at 5pm on the 24th of June and have had nothing further to the confirmation email.
I called the store the other day and asked a few questions; Are you getting iPhone deliveries? If so, how many are getting delivered on average? How long is the priority list? How many iPhones did you sell today for example? None of these could be answered.
I dont understand the lack of information. How could an employee not know how much stock they have, or how many of a particular item they have sold in a given day?! I want to throw £600 at Apple. I just want to know whether it would be quicker to do it in store, or wait the projected 3 weeks it takes over the internet. It makes no sense whatsoever to keep customers in the dark about this.

  • UK Apple Store Priority List Wait - your experiences?

*GOOD NEWS* So, I dropped my iPhone 3G down the loo a while back. Insurance paid out though. Yeah!
As iPhone 4 on it way, I've held onto the cash. I also don't want to start another expensive contract with O2, just want to keep the Simplicity £20-25 a month jobbie going, I decided to buy a new iPhone 4 32GB from the Apple Store direct.
Went on Priority List at Brent Cross store three weeks ago today – 7 July. I asked if should I order it online, they said "No – do it from here!". They did say it would take three weeks, admittedly. But…
*BAD NEWS* No email yet, no idea how long I have to wait, no emails that some of our American friends on this forum have received saying that they have moved up the list. No contact at all. As I am spending nearly £600, I'd have thought their customer service would have been a bit cannier.
As I have a G4, at least four iPods between myself and my wife, I am starting to feel rather taken for granted now.
If you are in the UK and have ordered a 32GB iPhone 4 instore and received it, can you please tell me how long you waited – especially if you went on the Priority List around the same time as me?
    Many thanks in advance.

Well I have one year left with Vodafone, and I am paying 25 quid a month (this contract was with an LG transparent handset)anyway I have given it to a family member and they put a PAYG sim in all I done was rung up Voda and they sent out a micro sim and I added an internet bundle for 5 quid a month not bad, but as you said if you want a 32g IP4 free on contract you are looking around £65 quid a month and yet stupid people pay it, If people can afford to pay that on a phone for 2 years they shouldnt need to get the phone free they should have enough money to buy it out right lol.

  • Do you have visit Apple Store in person to be on priority list

    Hi guys ,
i just phoned apple store to reserve iphone or to go on priority list. I was told i have to come in person to store to be reserve one. Is that true ? is that how everyone got on priority list ?
    Thanks

There are two methods to reserve your i4.
    * Visit your Carrier site or Store.Apple.Com and purchase the i4 - Delivered to house or if they have the selection of pickup at store.
    * Visit your Carrier or Apple Store and request to reserve your i4 - Carrier or Apple will help you program your i4 and make it ready for you before you leave the store.
Second option is usually preferred by some as FedEx has been troublesome to a few customers. "Package arrived empty" "Package left without signature needed" "No package when it says delivered" etc.
It is up to you, but most would recommend in store versus the sent to home in which case you would visit either Store.

  • How can I get Apple Remote Desktop to disappear from my App Store updates list?

My Apple Remote Desktop software shows up in my App Store updates list.  But I have already updated it to version 3.6.1 and it shows as "Installed".  It is greyed out and will not go away.  Any ideas on how to make it disappear is most appreciated.

All the suggestions I have read have not worked for me.
    But you can try:
Running Software Update from the Apple Menu
Logging in to the Mac App Store with the account that purchased ARD
Deleting various Apple Store .plist files
NB I haven't tried removind ARD and reinstalling.

  • Need phone number for software return to Apple on-line store

I've decided to return Leopard. It turns out the upgrades I was expecting for iPhone did not get included, and I'm too new to Apple to go through reinstalling programs for a small benefit.
However, I dialed the phone number for the Apple Store listed on the website, and there isn't a way to reach any department that handles returns. An RMA is required to return software.
Sorry to bother everyone with this, but there is no other way to reach the Apple on-line store anyplace I can find.
    Suggestions?

    Tamara,
Thanks, but I'm hesitant to spend time on an installation that has very little I need at the moment.
I went through a horrific quarter, buying a PC running Vista after a HD crash, finally returning it and buying my first Apple and learning how to use remote connections and install and set up a VM. My first priority is to get back to work after so many weeks non-productive for admin issues.
My workaround for a ToDo list between the Mac and iPhone is silly, and if I could rid myself of that nuisance, Leopard would make the investment worthwhile. If not, Leopard can wait a few months until I've rebuilt my productivity backlog.

  • IPhone 4 Priority list (San Diego)

I was placed on the priority list @ my apple store (otay ranch town center, ca) on 7/6. And was wondering who else has been placed on the list for that store? When did you receive your "moving up the list" e-mail and have you got your iphone yet?

I reserved on 7/3 and I haven't gotten mine yet. Has anyone gotten theirs?

  • 'Priority-List' Wait Time?

I was just put on the priority list last Wednesday 7/14/10, and the people at the Apple Store said it would delver within a week. Do you believe the shipments are becoming more 'smoothed' out as of late, or that it'll be three to four weeks?

    LISTEN TO MY STORY, PLEASE.
So this past Tuesday (7/6) I reserved my iPhone 4, and was told I was put on the reservation list. I recieved my confirmation e-mail saying:
Your iPhone 4 will be here before you know it. Look for an email from us letting you know it's ready to pick up. When you come in, we'll have Specialists ready to help you set up your iPhone 4 so it's just the way you like it. We look forward to seeing you at the store.
    Sincerely,
    The Apple Retail Store team
So I started seeing people call it the "Priority list" and wondered if that was different from the "Reservation list". So I spoke with someone at the apple store, and the man told me that I want to be on the PRIORITY LIST, so he set me up on the priority list. I asked him if I will receive a confirmation e-mail notifying me that I am on the list. He said NO, I will only receive one email when it is available.
So does anyone know about this?
Was I on the right list, or they the same thing or what?
I was placed on the PRIORITY LIST today (7/9) and was told it's looking like a 3 week wait.

  • OS X Server dropped from App Store Purchases list

On 17 October 2017, I received notification of an OS X Server 3.2.2 upgrade.  I downloaded and installed the upgrade the same day.
After ensuring that I had a usable backup of my OS X Mavericks, I downloaded and installed OS X Yosemite today.  OS X Server 3.2.2 can't be used with OS X Yosemite.  When I checked for a newer version of OS X Server, I discovered that it was no longer in my Purchased list in the App Store.
On 17 October 2014, the App Store Purchases list included both Lion Server and OS X Server.  After installing Yosemite, only Lion Server remains in the list.
How does one get the OS X Server update?

I have this issue as well. Already called Apple about it once, and also sent a supoprt request to the App Store helpdesk to at least be able to upgrade my client's servers still running 3.2.2 on Mavericks. So far no succes, their policy is that if you upgrade ANY mac associated with the server app to Mavericks, your license for 3.2.2 is REVOKED and any systems still running Mavericks will be unable to upgrade from 3.2.1 to 3.2.2
On my server this has caused configuration profiles to no longer function, and as long as Apple doesn't reply I guess I'm stuck paying the $20. This bothers me. I know it's supposed to be cheap software but still, the usual demographic using this software are small businesses that want to manage their own software but don't have a lot of expertise. and stuff like this can really flark up their services. Apple should at least still allow people to install version 3.2.2 on their older machines.

  • Does Apple Dvd Player keep a list of dvds you played?

    Dear Friends,
Does Apple Dvd Player keep a list of dvds you played? If so,where is it?

Many (but not all) plist files in Application Support/DVD Player/Settings use the key "MediaName" to store the titles of DVDs that the application has played. (Some plist files in this folder have other purposes, so we'll leave those out of the equation.) Thus you could open every plist in Settings, check for the presence of the MediaName key, and then note the content. For example, using Property List Editor to open a plist that stores a DVD title, you'll see a line like:
    MediaName  String  TROY
    TextEdit will show something similar:
    <key>MediaName</key>
    <string>TROY</string>
But you'll probably want to see all the titles at once. Let me suggest a Terminal solution. Open Terminal, then navigate to the appropriate folder:
    cd /Users/username/Library/Application\ Support/DVD\ Player/Settings[RETURN]
    (Replace username with your username.)
    Then issue this command:
    awk '/MediaName/{c=2} c&&c--' *.plist[RETURN]
The result will look something like this:
              <key>MediaName</key>
              <string>ALEXANDER_NEVSKY</string>
              <key>MediaName</key>
              <string>TROY</string>
              <key>MediaName</key>
              <string>EXCALIBUR_16X9_FF_NA</string>
              <key>MediaName</key> ….

  • Apple I Tunes store charged my credit card on 9/26/13 $1.99,10/12/13 $1.99,10/27/13 $0.99

Apple I Tunes store charged my credit card on 9/26/13 $1.99,10/12/13 $1.99,10/27/13 $0.99 & on 10/28/13 $20.00.These charges are unknown to me & definitely not authorized. How can Apple I Tune make all these charges without my knowledge? I need credit back to my credit card.Does Apple automatically
charge to whatever credit card is on file that was used to purchase the I phone or tablet? I need to talk to a live Apple Support as this whole ordeal is becoming
so annoying & frustrating & a big waste of my time.It is so vicious for Apple to do this to anybody.

We are fellow users here on these forums. You haven't purchased anything, including new apps.songs etc or in-app purchases, and you've checked the purchase hostory on your account ? If you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases (the most recent is above the list). When purchases are made they will be charged to your account's balance or to the credit card that you have on your account.
If you don't recognise the charges and nobody else has access to your account or devices and may have made them, then you can contact iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption (the contact methods that are available may depend upon the country that you are in)

  • App Store Wish List (iOS 7)

I have several apps on my app store wish list that I want to get when they go on sale.  Does the app store send you any kind of notification (system notification or email) when a wish list app's price changes

No, there aren't ant settings or notifications to tell you if any item in your wish list is reduced in price. You could try leaving feedback for Apple : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html

  • I have installed the latest OS X Updaate 10.8.4 - several times on my iMac, with restarts, but it won't disappear from my App Store update list.  Why?

I have installed the latest OS X Updaate 10.8.4 - several times on my iMac, with restarts, but it won't disappear from my App Store update list.  Why?   ..and how do I get rid of it?

I had a similar problem with trying to update using the App Store, and being told that the software was "installed" yet I was still only running 10.8.3.
The App Store was continually saying the 10.8.4 was available but with many tries I still could not download or install it.
And there are a few links to the OSX 10.8.4 (Combo) update that actually lead to a "Cant find this page error" on the Apple site and the App Store.
I did find a link to just the vanilla flavoured OSX 10.8.4 update here http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1658 which is a smaller download of 359mb rather than 849mb with the combo update.
The simple OSX 10.8.4 update downloaded fine with Safari and I installed it with no problems from the finder. A few opening's on closing's of the App Store app made the update flag finally disappear.
I have since come back here to report this and then found the link to 10.8.4 Mountain Lion Update v10.8.4 (Combo) at http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1659 above and found that this link also starts to download the update through Safari and while I decided that I no longer needed it, I would presume that it would still install fine from the finder like the OSX 10.8.4 update did.
So it seems to me that there is a problem with (maybe occasionally) updating from the App Store, but if you download from either of the two "hard" links above and install from the finder it should be fine.
