Apple's power adapter replacement program - U.S. only

Hello,
I have a macbook air.
Its power adapter has a L-shape, but I have the same problem because of strain relief.
I found that Apple's power adapter replacement program page on web, About Apple's Power Adapter Replacement Program -- U.S. only.
I think that the T-shape photo on web is just an example showing what strain relief.
When I visit the apple retail store and ask the program, they answered me that program is only available for T-shape power adapter.
is it correct? do I need to buy additional power adapter for my air?

It would not take much effort to be more helpful than the help desk who appear to work in an isolated group unable to comunicate with the departments that actually do the work. - Cannot talk to a supervisor- Cannot get status on parts availability- Cannot find out if anyone is acyually doing anything- Not allowed to call other departments- And my favorite, "That system is down, call back later" I even had a help desk person suggest that since SONY can't find the part, just go to a local store, purchase the part and we promise to reimbuse you. Right now our part cross reference system is down so I do not know what part you should buy." Im having trouble with my charger works sometimes and sometimes does not. I saw this article about Apple's Adapter Replacement Program (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4127).
I have an L type charger and bought my MBP in 2010. Am I eligible for this replacement?

No DHL Here - Apple Ultracompact USB Power Adapter Exchange Program

There is no DHL shipping center where I live but the message I got from the Apple Ultracompact USB Power Adapter Exchange Program is to ship via DHL; what should I do?

Mine was delivered by Fedex, with instructions inside to call DHL to pick it up for the return. Well, I don't have DHL service in my area either. After calling Applecare 4 different times in one day and spending I don't know how much time on hold, I finally talked to a human, who's expert solution was for me to take it to the post office!!!!! I explained that it had a prepaid DHL sticker on it, he said he didn't know why the Post office wouldn't honor that, or maybe I should call Fedex to come pick it back up, they would probably honor the DHL sticker too? I suggested that I would be near an Apple Store the next weekend and could take it there myself, he put me on hold for another 25-30 mins to check with someone to see if this could work. When he finally came back, he was pretty sure it would, if not they could just have DHL pick it up from them, since they use them anyway. This should not be this hard. I was sold a defective product, give me my better improved product and a simple way to get rid of the one that is going to kill me and my family without me having to make 4 phone calls, be given no real solutions to my problem, and in the end I have to come up with the answer myself.....Wonderful customer service.....

Eligible adapter for USB Power Adapter Takeback Program

I found out about the USB Power Adapter Takeback Program, so I brought my third party USB Power adapter to an Apple Retailer. But they refused to take it. They said that the adapter have to look like an apple adapter to qualify. Is this true?

the store I found on the takeback site you listed (under Apple authorized Service providers) told me they will echange anything except look alike chargers. I gave in three chargers, look-alike and non-lookalike. They duly registered the serial numbers on the ipad and iphone and said they first have to "book it in" before they can do the exchange. They booked it in ON the October 18, 2013, so I get a call a few days later saying they looked at the chargers but "they are fine".
The takeback site doesn't actually say the charger first has to be deemed eligible, in fact it clearly states: "We are offering this special takeback program for any USB power adapter". Further, "We will ensure that these adapters are disposed of in an environmentally friendly way" seems to be the only stated reason to book them in, not to evaluate eligibiity. The spirit of the takeback in fact is spelt out on the said page when it mentions: "Apple Retail and Apple Authorized Service Providers cannot advise you on the authenticity or safety of your adapter", meaning there is no evaluation just a takeback.
A takeback which didn't happen, which hasn't made me safer, and only creates mistrust and an air of deception.
Please advise, what is the service provider meant to do in my case?

How does the Apple Headphones with Remote Replacement Program non-return fee work?

I have a pair of Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic that I purchased a year ago. According to the "Apple Headphones with Remote Replacement Program", http://www.apple.com/support/headphones/replacementprogram/, these headphones are also covered in the program. Currently, there are some issues with my headphone's remote, as it is extremely unresponsive. I don't know how Apple determines the headphone's purchase date, but their online service request page accepts my iPhone's serial number. Is there any way that i could ensure that Apple's willing to replace the headphones for free (E.g. mailing my current ones in first) because the non-return fee is basically its retail price. I do not live in the US so I can't go and exchange at an Apple Retail Store. Thanks in advance.

I just looked through the user guide, and it doesn't mention anything positive or negative about using the Apple FireWire Power Adapter that came with my 3G iPod. Any chance I'm going to fry my new iPod if I try charging it with the Firewire Power Adapter?

Can Shuffle play while charging on Apple USB Power Adapter?

Hi,
We would like to purchase a shuffle (2nd gen) to play continuously music on hold to our company's telephone system. The Phone system's audio-in jack is compatible. I've connected my 1st Gen iPod shuffle to the phone system, and it plays fine.
We will not be able to plug the shuffle into a computer, so we will need to plug it into the Apple USB Power Adapter.
Is anyone doing this? Does it work? Any problems?

With that particular model, only the Firewire cable and connection will provide power to the device. The USB cable is only for syncing.

Old Apple USB Power Adapter with new nano

Hi. I have an older Apple USB Power Adapter (model A1102) that I've been using with an Ipod Mini (bought it with the mini a long time ago). I have a new 3G nano on order. Will this power adapter work with the new nano? Or will I be forced to buy a new one?

Since I also converted from a Mini to a 3G Nano, I thought I'd give you a couple of pointers; I probably spent a couple of days preparing my existing mp3 library (and that says nothing about videos).
1) Make sure all of your mp3's are NOT marked read-only and load everything you want into the NEW iTunes
2) Work on collecting/saving the NEW things like album covert art and lyrics (I sometimes use the lyrics area to list musicians/personnel)
3) Re-construct your playlists and SAVE everything (iTunes actually writes back to the mp3 files--that's why you don't want them read-only)
4) Only then start messing with videos, because they tend to crash iTunes depending on your hardware, OS, etc. (for example, iTunes doesn't work well with Vista). My best advice for videos is use a 3rd party converter (like Nero Recode) to ensure iPod format compatibility; don't even waste your time with iTunes for anything that isn't a downloaded/purchased item.

I can order a replacement of my supplied power adapter (MU06-6120050-C5) with a new one (PS-WRT160N-V3.2-E) because my original one must be connected first to the power outlet before being connected to the router. That conditiongave me a problembecause everytime I have power failure, I need to manually disconnect my router and then reconnect it to the power adapter, otherwise my router won't function.
So, how is the process to order for power adapter replacement?

The Apple store shows that it's compatible with the newer adapters, so I'm assuming I should be fine, but wanted to make sure.
Also, is there anyway to check on the computer, once the shuffle is docked, how full the charge is or isn't?

It should work... try it!

The only indication is the status LED, it's either orange for charging or
green for "charged"...
