Apple's removal of Purchases

I hope its just a bug and not Apple removing software I purchased from the store.
I just upgraded one of my computers from 10.2 to 10.3.3 and now the aperture icon has a question mark on it and is unusable. When I go hit update aperture on the apple store it says that aperture is no longer available on app store.
Its one thing to stop future sales and support, its another thing to remove software from the store that I purchased. I will stop my rant here and not go into why this is so wrong hoping that someone will tell me its just a bug in the app store and I will be able to download the last version of the aperture software that i PAID for.

I will check out Niel's solution shortly and hopefully it works.
Dah•veed. How am I suppose to download the installers from the app store to back them up because if I can, I certainly will? If what you say is truly the case, I will no longer be purchasing from the App store unless I can download the installers. I require the ability to install my software on an old machine 10 years down the road if need be. This scenario has happened to me many times in the past.
As I mentioned there is a difference between them changing course on their software and deleting it from existence. I am not asking them for a newer version, or even having it supporting future versions of OSX. What I do know is that my other machine has the latest version of aperture working on 10.3.3. and that is the version I want to be able to download. Why? because I paid for it.

I need to remove one purchased app from my iCloud and ipad. Needs solution
immediately.

You cannot delete past purchases from your iTunes account. You should delete it from your iPad and then use Restrictions to stop kids from downloading without the pass code. See http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4213
You can also hide things from your iTunes account by following these steps http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919

There is a new app with an ugly orange T named Tips on my phone now. How do I get it off my phone. It is an Apple App not a purchased app and looks like a Tennessee advertisement.

It is part of iOS 8, and cannot be removed. You can move the app to another page, or hide it in a folder. You can turn off the notifications for the App in the notifications center control pane.

• How do I remove a purchased app completely,

How do I remove a purchased app completely, from all apple devices

You can delete it from any device that it is on by pressing and holding it on the device's homescreen for a second or two until they shake and then tapping the 'x' on its top left corner, and you can delete it from your computer's iTunes library by selecting it and pressing the delete button on your keyboard. You can also hide it from the Purchased tabs on your devices so that it doesn't show for redownloading (you can't permanently delete any item from your purchase history) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919 - if a device is on iOS 7 you will probably then need to log out of your account on it by tapping on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back for it to disappear from the Purchased tab

• How do you remove a purchase from iCloud

Is there away to remove apps, purchases from iCloud ?

There is a way to 'Hide' the old deleted apps from the Purchased History of your iPhone/iPad's iTunes account (prevent from them from showing in Purchase History on your devices).
Follow these steps:
On your PC/MAC:
1. Login into your Apple account on your iTunes on your PC or MAC (Menu > iTunes Store > Sign in);
2. Go to the side tab on your PC/Mac called 'iTunes Store'
3. Scroll down that page to the bottom. Click the link 'Purchased' under the heading 'Manage'
4. Within the 'Purchased' page, click the 'Apps' tab > 'Not in My Library' filter
5. Go to the the specific deleted Apps that you want to hide. Click the Cross icon on the top left hand corner of each App icon (cross appears when you hover over it). This will hide the app showing here (essentially it will ALSO HIDE the app from your Purchase history on your iPhone/iPad -- complete the steps below for this to take effect)
THEN on Your iPhone/iPad:
6. Sign out of your Apple ID account on your iPhone/iPad (Go to the 'Settings' app > Scroll down & Click 'iTunes & App Store' > click on your account (email) > then click 'Sign Out' when it pops up.
7. Sign back in to your account
8. Go to the 'App Store' app on your device > Go to Updates > Purchased.
and voila ..... The previously deleted apps are no longer shown here in your Purchase History and can no longer be downloaded! (they are hidden).
The apps can be hidden from all your other devices (iPhone/iPad) with same Apple ID provided you also do the sign out steps (6-8 above). You would also need to do these steps (6-8) each time you hide new apps (i.e. Steps 1-5) on your PC/Mac.
On your PC/Mac, the apps can be unhidden if you want to (though I doubt you would want to) by going to iTunes Store > Account > Hidden Purchases > Manage
Hope this helps and easy to follow!
Please let me know if this works for you.
Thanks
Mike

My Olympic camera SD card doesn't fit into the SD card camera reader. Apple advised me to purchase the product in order to import photos to my IPad. How do I over ride this problem. How do I import photos from an Olympus FE-340 directly to my IPad?

Your camera uses an OLympic XD picture card http://www.amazon.com/Olympus-xD-Picture-Memory-202332-package/dp/B002LC2DQ4/ref =pd_sim_sbs_p_1 This card has different dimensions compared to an SD card.
You should be able to plug the cable that came with your camera into the camera connection kit to import the pics.

After some advice, I am new to Apple and looking to purchase either the MacBook Air 13inch with 256GB and 8GB mem or the MacBook Pro 13inch with retina 256Gb and 8GB mem. I am an assistant principal in a primary school and also studying my masters at university. I don't play computer games and I don't watch movies. I do store photos and videos of my kids and music on iTunes. I also like browsing the net with numerous windows open, check email etc. I am really wanting long battery life as I do a lot of my work on the couch - not close to a PowerPoint. Would the air do the trick or will it soon be outdated as Apple move towards retina display? Both air and pro seem very thin - almost the same? And not much difference in weight either so both very portable which is also a necessary requirement. Just can't help dreaming about that 12 hour claimed battery life. Any helpful advice/opinions, very much appreciated. Thanks

It's not likely that you'll get 12 hours in reql life. Those benchmarks are set under very strict controlled conditions. Kind of like mileage per gallon claims on cars. If 16GB of ram is an option at all I'd highly recommend you get that. As far as storage 256GB isn't alot, consider storing some things on an external thunderbolt real

• My daughter has an iPod touch using my apple ID, I just purchased an iPhone with the same ID. Is there a way to keep my stuff seperate from her ipod but still share the iTunes account?

My daughter has an iPod touch using my apple ID, I just purchased an iPhone with the same ID. Is there a way to keep my stuff seperate from her ipod but still share the iTunes account? I was looking through the photo section on my iPhone and found pics my daughter has taken from her iPod. I do not want my pics, emails, etc to show up on her iPod. Is there a way to stop this from happening or do I have to create a different Apple ID for her to use instead?

If you have iOS 8 on all devices then:
If under 13 years create a new ID for her by:
Family Sharing and Apple IDs for kids - Apple Support
The use family sharing to share apps
http://www.apple.com/ios/ios8/family-sharing/
Family purchases and payments - Apple Support
If underage and not i)S on all devices then you have to create an ID for here under your name and supervise it use:
Create a NEW account using these instructions so yo do not have to use a credit card.
Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before. Make sure you specify a birthdate that results in being at least 13 years old
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
More details of how:
http://ipadhelp.com/ipad-help-tips-tricks/how-to-get-free-apps-from-the-app-stor e-without-a-credit-card/
Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
Settings>GameCenter
and Settings>iCloud if you want her to have separate Contacts Calendar and some other things.
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases.

I recently had to get a new windows computer, old one crashed. My tech guy got all my itunes library over to the new one, and all my songs are there. However, some won't play and ask me for the password for the apple id they were purchased under. 2 of these ids are obsolete and I have no access to those accts. The songs all played on my old computer without prompting me for a password.
Any ideas how I can get around this hassle and get them all to play? We're talking about 800 songs that are being obstinate. The new computer is authorized under my "new" Apple id, which I have used for years.

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not available in all countries; apps, books (not audiobooks), music, t.v. shows, and movies (some - not all studios have permitted this). Movies currently available in the USA only. Downloading previously purchased movies and TV shows requires iTunes 10.6 or later. Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list, or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid. Apple notes it is your responsibility to back up your purchases.
Select the store on the left side of iTunes.
Click on Purchased on the right side under Quick Links.
You can re-download your available previous purchases.

• Apple TV not playing purchased content. iTunes account Issue?

Like many others, I'm having issues getting Apple TV to play purchased content for a specific iTunes account. After hitting the play button, the movie or TV show thinks about it then reverts back to the information page. This has been happening for just under a week.
I have two other accounts on my Apple TV, and they are both working OK. I asked another mate with an Apple TV to load my account onto his unit and he gets the same issue.
In an attempt to rectify the issue I have:
Reset my password fo itunes. No luck.
Restored the factory settings on the Apple TV. No luck.
Double check account and billing details. No Luck.
I really want to get this resolved. Can someone suggest a fix please!

SOLVED.
I had the same problem minutes ago... I solved it by signing out my apple id from the apple tv and then sign in again. Movies start playing now! Hope this works for you too
