Apple says my batteries already been replaced? When did this happen

MMy phone falls in the sept12 to 13 period and should get a new battery, as this one has to be charged 3 times a day. I put my serial number in and says that I've already had a battery replaced? When did this happen, as my phones never been anywhere on its own...?

You may need to take your proof of purchase and travel to an Apple Store
with Genius bar, or Authorized Apple Service Provider, or Specialist reseller.
You could ask and get results in person, or with an appointment at a Genius
bar in an Apple Store so equipped; but the issue may need escalation.

Perhaps the product was new enough to be fitted with later version of the battery
in question and may not have been one of those devices with the related issue(?)
If you bought the device from an Apple Store, contact them. You may be able to
find the production date of the item, and backtrack to find out more information..
As this is a user-to-user discussions community, the topic is beyond the database
and so in my opinion, you should try another avenue and hopefully find resolution.
Would be curious to know how they'd figure your phone wasn't among those
with the battery issue in question; unless it was retro-fitted prior to retail sale.

    Premiere Elements 10 on Windows 7 64 bit.....
    It sounds to me that you have a player problem or a disc problem and not a burn software problem.
    What players are involved - computer players (which ones) or DVD player standalone or attached to a TV or other?
    As for the DVD-R discs, I am not taking that out of the problem equation. If you take one of these DVD-R discs from the Premiere Elements 10 burn to DVD disc and explore it, do you find an OpenDVD Folder and a VIDEO_TS Folder? If so, if you open the VIDEO_TS Folder, can you find a VTS_01_1.VOB file and play it back on the computer
    If you do that same thing with one of the DVD-RW discs from the Premiere Elements 10 burn to DVD disc and explore it, what do you find?
    How long have you had the DVD-R discs in comparison to the DVD-RW discs? You mentioned that you did all this successfully a couple of years ago, and everything was the same then as now. Did you have these batches of discs then as opposed to now? Are the players the same then and now?
    Burn to Folder (4.7 GB) is always an option. But, I would like to see you have the opportunity of choice for to burn to disc or burn to folder.

  • I checked IMEI when I bought it, but now apple says serial number has been replaced

    I recently bought an iphone 5 from craigs list. Before I did, I called Verizon wireless and had them check the IMEI number and make sure its clean. THey said it is, I even asked her 3 different times "so youre sure that this item is not stolen or reported missing or anything like that" she said yes.
    Today, I decided to find out if the iphone is under waranty or not so I went on the apple website to check the serial number, and guess what I got:
    We're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced.
    was calling verizon not enough diligince to make sure it was clean, or did the guy that sold it to me find away to cheat the system?
    when apple replaces a phone, do they no let the carrier know that this IMEI number belongs to a phone that has been replaced?

    Common scam is to sell an iPhone and after the sale is complete,
    original owner reports the iPhone as stolen or lost to collect on his
    insurance (Verizon offers insurance). The insurer tells the wireless
    provider and the iPhone is blocked.
    If Apple replaces an iPhone, it has no responsibility to notify anyone.
    Nor does the wireless carrier care - if there is a problem connecting
    with the replaced iPhone, the owner can work it out with the carrier
    at that time.
    You were scammed. You can try to contact the seller, but there is little
    chance of getting your money back. While some goods sold via
    CraigsList are bargains, many are scams or stolen goods. Your
    protection from such problems is to purchase your iPhone from Apple
    or an Apple authorized reseller.
    Sorry for your loss. The blame does not lie with Apple but with the seller
    who defrauded you.

    I have been trying to download the netflix and time warner cable apps on my iPhone, but the app store says that they have already been downloaded. My mom and I share an iTunes account and she doesn't have the apps either. We have tried rebooting, deleting on iTunes, app-syncing(Which doesn't work either), and just about everything else! It is driving me nuts and I need answers.

    Okay, lemme just say right now that what has me so fired up is that my lappy (2 GHz AMD Sempron single core, 512 MB RAM) is running KDE 4. Responsively. I never thought that would be possible.
    That said, was memory usage in KDE 4 really trimmed that much? htop shows... 266 MB RAM in use (by userspace applications) and 103 MB swap in use. I'm typing this post in Firefox, while Filezilla is transferring my 14 GB music library (I just did a new installation, so I have to get my music library from my arch desktop), pacman is downloading several hundred megabytes of Sauerbraten, and Amarok is playing some of the songs that Filezilla already transferred. The only thing remotely slow is my wireless connection (which is a BCM4312 that I was able to set up with only one trip to a working Arch box to get the firmware).
    Will this slowly slow down, or will I always be able to get away with running KDE 4? I know it'll bog down when running Eclipse, but then again, the aforementioned working Arch box (with a 2.4 GHz dual core processor and 4GB RAM) bogs down while running Eclipse. OpenOffice is alwaysa bit slow too.

    512 is easily enough to run kde4 fluently. And yes, kde4 *should* be lighter than kde3 was, even if the installation itself is larger.

    Restoring your iPod to factory settings is the best way to try and get it back to working order. You can use the instructions below to restore it:
    How to restore iPod
    Verify that you have an active Internet connection, because you may need to download new versions of the iTunes and iPod Software.
    Download and install the latest version of iTunes if necessary.
    Open iTunes. Connect your iPod to your computer using the USB or FireWire cable that came with your iPod.
    After a few moments, your iPod will appear in the Source panel in iTunes.
    Select your iPod in the Source panel. You will see information about your iPod appear in the Summary tab of the main iTunes window.
    Click Restore.
    If you are using a Mac, you will be asked to enter an administrator’s name and password.

    - You can only sync an iPod to one iTunes library/computer. You can however, manually manage music and videos among different libraries.
    Go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions.

    I am using Lr 4.3 and want to import vacation photos.  Lr says they have already been imported but I can't find them even if I search by photo name using Explorer.  Should I just uncheck the box not to import suggested duplicates  and import again?  I have over 4,000 and don't want them on the hard drive twice.

    I see that answering in the email from Jim didn't display here.  I will paste those answers to his questions here.
    1.  Correct; just the empty folder.  Neither are they showing anyplace on my computer when I search using Explorer and a photo name.
    2.  I have them on an external HD and the cloud.  Yes, I could just work from those but not as easily and would like to understand why Lr thinks they are on my computer when I can’t find them anywhere.  Perhaps this is related….  I had these on my computer and had done some editing on them.  Went back another day and the entire contents of that trip’s folder were GONE.  Those on the cloud and external HD are pre-edits.  Bummer!
    3.  I don’t use catalogs; rather a folder structure such as:
    2011
         1 – January-March
         2 – April-June
         3 – July-September
         4 – October-December
         Spain-Portugal
    I do use keywords liberally.  So can I use ADD to bring into a folder?  Do I uncheck the “don’t import suspected duplicates” box?

    If you are receiving e-mail messages that indicate that someone is trying to reset your Apple ID password, they may be phishing scams. Do not click any links in those e-mail messages, and if you make the mistake of doing so, do not provide your current Apple ID password on the page you are directed to.
    Unfortunately, in this case, there's nothing to be done except treat those messages the same way you would any other spam.
    The other possibility is that someone is actually trying to reset your Apple ID password. This may be due to a malicious attack, but more likely, it's just someone who thinks your Apple ID is actually theirs (due to a typo, faulty memory or something similar) and is trying to "regain" access. In any case, this is merely an annoyance, but you can put an end to it by enabling two-factor authentication on your Apple ID. This will require an additional piece of information that only you will possess in order to even start the password reset process.
    If you are actually seeing your password getting changed, and are having to reset it yourself to regain access, you are being hacked. This could be because your password is not strong enough to withstand a brute-force attack by a botnet. It could also be because the attacker already has access to your e-mail address, and is able to intercept the reset e-mail and complete the reset process. Because of that danger, you should change the password for the e-mail account associated with your Apple ID. You should also change the password for your Apple ID, making sure that it is a strong password, and enable two-factor authentication as mentioned above.
