Apple Script to watch any network connectivity to my mac

Hi All,
I am looking for a apple script, when that runs it tell or display a dialog box with connection number(s) or the connected machine info or IP address or when any other machine connect to my mac then display a dialog box that someone is connected.
is this is possible via apple script??

You need "Little Snitch"
I believe there's a trial version available...  It's good for like 30 days.
A script to do what you're looking for would be really really complicated.

Yes there has been a problem. What seems to work for most people is to restore your device. Make sure you back it up before

    Hi,
I've plan to buy a new IPhone 4 32GB without any network connection (network Subcriber Connection) in USA so please give me suggestion.
    Thanks in Advance,

Yes, just buy a SIM-free unlocked iPhone 4 (GSM) direct from the AppleStore either online or in a retail store.

    Do not buy a contract-free AT&T iPhone.

  • After loading yosemite can't get permissions from any network PC - OK from MACs on network...any advice?

after loading yosemite can't get permissions from any network PC - OK from MACs on network...any advice?

would love to...way over my head so far...upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.2 - I have another MAC (motorola chipset...maybe 10.6?) and 3 PCs on the network...the older MAC linked up through the network just fine...
I can see the Yosemite MAC on the PCs...I can open customer file folders (I am a printer) from the shared drive...I can drag files (let's just call them PDFs, they mostly are) to the MAC customer file...but if I try to open them from the PC I get an error message that says permission denied - or may be in use by another user. There are no other users. After I uploaded to Yosemite, I noticed most if not all drives and or folders had permissions changed to either no access or to read only...I've changed as many as I could find...drives, and folders...I can open those same files if I'm on the yosemite mac...Here's the catch, though...I was on a different floor and that PC can open a PDF on the Yosemite...but the RIP that prints our large format prints now won't print those files (whole RIP locks up) unless they are first dragged to the PC desktop...then all is fine. I thought it was MAC upgrade oriented, but I do have a PC that halfway works...I'm really stymied...

  • No longer any network connectivity wired or unwired for T520 laptop

I have a Thinkpad T520, and both wired and wireless network connectivity worked fine until a couple of months ago. Then, at about the time I installed a lot of Windows updates, both wired and wireless connectivity no longer works.
A green light displays at the ethernet cable plug, as well as an slow-blinking orange light. When I type in command ipconfig/ all I get Host Name: [Allen Laptop 1], Primary DNS Suffix [blank], IP Routing Enabled [No}, and WINS Proxy Enabled [No]. I have tried power-cycling the router, to no avail. Other computers connected to the same router have no connectivity problem.
I have tried re-installing ethernet drivers, and I get a message that the new drivers are the same as the existing drivers. When I try to re-install Intel Centrino and Wimax drivers, I get a message that the Centrino drivers are ready to use, and that the Wimax drivers failed to install (I had this problem when I first bought the machine in 2011, re the Wimax drivers, and I'm not sure it ever was resolved).
In Windows 7 Device Manager, there are exclamation marks next to everything listed under Network. Messages say no drivers installed.
Is it possible that both the wired and wireless laptop hardware both went bad at the same time, or is it more likely that a Windows or other update may have disabled a needed Service or corrupted a needed file? What might I try next?

  • Juniper Network Connect Error nc.mac.app.1203

I have been trying to solve this problem for a while. Once Java got decoupled from OSX I started getting this error when Network Connect would launch. I have run out of options.
    nc.mac.app.1203

Love to hear everyone's thinking on this one. I have tried on and off for awhile to fix.

There is a thread about this in the Apple Developer's forum. Basically it looks like Apple changed the default password for the java truststore. I'm guessing it was accidental since the two passwords are very similar and they didn't notify even the Java developers of the change nor is it documented in the updates release notes. This affects:
    Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 1 - Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 1
    Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 6 - Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 6
Personally, to err is human and I can accept that. The problem I have is that Apple is taking so long to fix this. The problem came almost 2 months ago and I noticed on the developer thread that one of Apple's Java developers instead of just admitting the problem instead went on some rant on how the Sun (now Oracle) Java development team needs to change how apps are installed. Whatever.
The reality is this: Until the Oracle Java development team is convinced to change the way Java works and actual does it and Java developers have a chance to change their code this is the reality of the world. Suck it up and fix your broken stuff. Apple could have very easily released a new update that fixed this but instead it looks like their waiting for their next major update and in the meantime everyone else has to work around their mistakes. To be honest, I don't expect anything else from Apple; this is just how they operate.
BTW, According to a Juniper KB, Juniper will be releasing an update to the SA boxes that takes this into account.

  • Juniper Network Connect fails in Mac OS 10.10

    Hello,
I am trying to use Juniper Network Connect on my MacBook Pro running OS 10.10 and Java 8 (Update 25) to connect to my corporate network.
However, each time I log into my corporate network through Mozilla Firefox and attempt to establish a remote desktop connection the following message appears as Network Connect attempts to load, "An error occurred while extracting one of the Network Connect components."
Mozilla Firefox is recommended by my company.
Has anybody else experienced this issue?
I have encountered Network Connect problems over the years (and similar error messages) and I am wondering if this message is related to OS and/or Java upgrades?
    Regards,
    Ben

    https://coderwall.com/p/_gpxpq/workaround-for-failing-juniper-network-connect-in -yosemite
    Text of site:
The current version 8.0.7 of Network Connect and the latest Yosemite 10.10.1 don't like each other: you simply can't connect.
A workaround (and it should be nothing more if you care) is to allow unsigned kernel extensions (which are unsupported/disabled in Yosemite by default):
    sudo nvram boot-args="kext-dev-mode=1"
    (reboot afterward) To revert this:
    sudo nvram -d boot-args
Looks like this is also helpful for some other problematic extensions.

  • HT1338 i cant watch any videos on my mini mac

I updated my Flash Player but now I cant watch any youtube videos or use my cam

Try opening your applications folder, then get info
on the safari icon. Check Rosetta, Restart. this
should allow you to use Quicktime video in Safari.
Quicktime doesn't require Rosetta in any way. Its already universal.

  • Cannot get Mac Book Pro  to connect to ebay. Other computers in the house on the same network connect, but this mac book pro won't. It goes to any other web site, just won't connect to ebay

I cannot get this macbook pro to connect to ebay. Other apple computers in my house on same network will but this one will not. This one will connect to any other site, but not ebay. Thoiguhts?

    Try using OpenDNS servers:
    System Preferences>Network>Advanced>DNS.
Click on the + in the left side column and add the following:
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
    Click OK, then click Apply
BTW one post is sufficient. Two clogs the servers.

  • What is the maximum number of Apple TVs (3rd gen) you can connect to 1 Mac running iTunes?

I have one Mac with my digital library running iTunes 11 and seem to be having problems keeping Apple TVs connected (via home sharing) when I get up around 10 Apple TVs on the network.
The Mac is running Mountain Lion with all software updates installed, iTunes 11, and the Apple TVs are all running 5.1.1 (the latest at this time).
I am not asking how many computers can authorize via iTunes to use the same Apple ID - that answer is 5. I have read in multiple places that the number of devices (e.g. Apple TVs, iPods, iPads - not computers) that can sync content to an iTunes account is unlimited, but I don't think that's entirely true.
I'd like to keep this conversation about the number of Apple TVs you can have home shared to a single Mac / iTunes library via home sharing.
I am also not asking how many a network could support via concurrent streaming, etc. That's not relevant. We only use 1-3 Apple TVs at any given time simultaneously, and streaming simultaneously to as many as 3 Apple TVs hasn't ever been a problem.
I recently upgraded all my Apple TVs in this house to generation 3 units - I have 12 of them in all, but once I connected about 10 of them I started having problems (at least I think it was 10).
Does anyone know the official limitation (if there is one) ?
The problem that I am having is that even though I have a great Wi-Fi N or wired gigabit connection at each Apple TV, and the correct home sharing Apple ID on each Apple TV and iTunes on the Mac, when I try to access "Computers" via the Apple TV menu, I get this error:
Could not connect to "My Library": Make sure the computer is on the same network as your Apple TV, the iTunes version is up to date, and iTunes is running.
Now if I restart iTunes, I can get the Apple TV I am currently troubleshooting to connect, but then if I go to a different Apple TV, it gives me the same error. Restarting Apple TVs doesn't fix it, only restarting iTunes seems to. But I can't seem to get multiple units to see the Library simultaneously.
Thanks to anyone who provides help on this.

Apple TV is by it self in a category.
With Apple TV 1 the limit was 5 Apple clearly stated that. The reason? Probably because the Apple TV 1 had a hard drive and was able to store content locally (quite a bit actually). This would make it more in line with authorized devices.
You authorized device limit is 5 but this does not pertain to home sharing again something different.
When you play content from an Apple TV you are streaming from an authorized device and as long as you have the same iTunes account on that Apple TV as the iTunes you are connecting to you will be ok.
Now to the error. I have also had this error and I had it on a network with only 1 Apple TV connected and it is since iTunes 11. It seems every time Apple updates iTunes it has a bad effect on Apple TV. So I would not relate this error to the number of Apple TV's you have, every time I get this error I restart the Apple TV and its fine again.
On a side not I used to run MANY Apple TV's off my xserver. I had my families homes networked with VPN. I would prefer to not say how many but it was quite a few. biggest problem there was multicast over VPN....whole other story.

  • Why does my iPad mini refuse to connect to the shared network connection from my mac mini?

Sometimes it works, most of the time it just sits there "searching" with the little wheel just spinning away. I've tried resetting the network settings under the "General" tab as well as "forget this network" and have no password set, and still I get spinning. iPad Mini and Mac Mini are both up to date with software and have no current updates available. The iPad is only a couple of feet away from the Mac without anything but air between them. I have tried turning of wi-fi on iPad and back on again as well as turning off sharing and back on again and every combination I could think of and it's still spinning. I thought buying all apple products would make things easier to configure but that was totally WRONG.

I managed to get the connection back! I renamed the network under "Wi Fi Options" from the "Sharing" screen and told the iPad Mini to forget the network. I then restarted BOTH the iPad and the Mac Minis at the SAME TIME. When they finished restarting the iPad Mini saw and connected to the new network almost immediately.

  • My Apple TV sees no WiFi networks and the WiFi MAC shows as NA.  Is this normal for an uninitialized Apple TV or does this indicate WiFi is not working on this Apple TV?

When I am standing near the Apple TV with my iPhone, the iPhone lists a number of nearby WiFi networks, including the one in my home.  I have running the Apple TV over ethernet up till now, so unfortunately the unit is out of warranty.

That is a modem/wifi problem. Contact your ISP.
