Apple Season Pass for Walking Dead S2 = EPIC FAIL!!!

*** Apple, your technical team should be dumped. I don't understand why they're not able to pull their heads out for a few minuets to figure out the issues with iTunes and downloading one of the most popular shows on TV! This is one of the biggest value propositions that apple has...
Shame on Apple for NOT providing read support on the issue of technical support. I would have an easier time dealing with Best Buy.
This is the first time I've ever spent $30 for a TV show that I could watch on TV. I think that I would be off buying a TiVO or Roku rather than the iTV.
Anyway's, I hope I can get my money back! At any rate I will be directing people away from Apple in the future.
With not so kind regards,
~A

I always had to wait until Monday for the episode to download. I dont know if it will be available at 12:01 or not, I never stayed up to see with the last season. I hope it gets sent early but I wouldnt count on it.

  • Season Pass for The Walking Dead

I bought a Season Pass for the first season of The Walking Dead. Episode 103 "Tell it to the Frogs" (the third episode) aired on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 9:00pm Central Time. It became available on iTunes at 2:01 am on the same day. I still haven't received my e-mail telling me that the new content is available.
I was concerned and I emailed support. This is the answer I received:
    "Dear Steven,
Thank you for pre-ordering The Walking Dead. I know that you're anxious to receive this item. Customer interest in this item far outwieghed Apple's projections.'
Steven, the episode 103 is not under season pass. You have to purchase the item individually.
Thank you for your understanding and being iTuens customer. Apple would like to continue business with you. Have a great day!
    Sincerely,
    Subham
    iTunes Store Customer Support."
Now, when I bought the season pass I knew it was only for 6 episode, because I knew that is all that AMC ordered for the first season. I also read in the Season Pass that it was for "all episodes of Season 1 "The Walking Dead" and I enjoy the Inside The Walking Dead extras that have been coming with it.
As a long-time Apple customer, I would like to show you, Apple, how I translate this e-mail:
'Thank you for pre-ordering The Walking Dead. I know that you're anxious to receive this item. Customer interest in this item far outwieghed Apple's projections.'
“We’ve realized we probable missed out on a lot of money.”
‘Steven, the episode 103 is not under season pass. You have to purchase the item individually.’
“We’re pretending it is not actually episode 3 of season one so we can recover some of that money we missed out on.”
The thing that drives me insane about this is that the Inside The Walking Dead: “Tell it to the Frogs” content is also available and says very clearly beside it in the store “Season Only” and I haven’t received that content either.
What gives Apple? They’ve already renewed it for a second season. Yes offering season one for $15.99, you probably missed out on some cash. Take your hits, and charge us $25.99 for season two. Don’t yank content we’ve already paid for from us and claim “it doesn’t count.”
Why can't the people who have purchased the season pass have their content?

I would write the iTunes Store back and quote the following text from the Walking Dead season page:
"This Season Pass includes all current and future episodes of The Walking Dead, Season One"
Point out that this text is verbatim from the iTunes Store, that nowhere on that page does is say the episode 103 is excluded, and that you therefore want Episode 103 and all other episodes at no extra charge as promised. Insist on a response from an iTunes Store manager if the functionaries keep repeating the same "not under season pass" excuse.
I would also take a screen shot of that page right now in case Apple rewords the text. That way you have proof of the text as currently written.
    Good luck.
P.S. We're all just your fellow users here. You will not get an official reply from any Apple employee, particularly anyone from the iTunes Store, in these forums.

If you downloaded it to your Mac you don't watch it on your ATV unless you are using home sharing. Otherwise, you can stream it from your ATV directly from the store... which means you somewhat download it twice.

  • Will my Season Pass (for TV show) continue to download even when I travel to another country?

In a few weeks, I'll be traveling and living in China for a year.... Of course this means I'll be missing the excellent Fall lineup of TV shows, but iTunes would theoretically help me with that.
So my question is that if I download the season passes for let's say "Scandal" and "Agents of Shield," would I be able to continue downloading them off the cloud while in China? Or would I have to wait until I get back in the US? I'm not sure how the cloud works in China specifically, so any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you aren't seeing some of the TV shows that you've already purchased from the iTunes Store.  The article below will walk you through reporting an issue with your purchase.

  • TS3623 I recently purchased a season pass for a TV show on my aple tv I downloaded th first episode and when I went to watch it it started to download again and is now frozen at "ready to watch in 44 minutes"?????

I recently purchased a season pass for a TV show on my apple tv I downloaded the first episode and when I went to watch it it started to download again and is now frozen at "ready to watch in 44 minutes"????? I have had it do the reloading process on an entire season of another show (very frustrating) but have never had it freeze up like this? any help out there?

There is no accessible storage so that is why it needs to reload. The time it take is dependent on your network. Not sure why it is freezing this time but you may want to try a reboot (hold the menu and down arrow for a few seconds until the light starts flashing and then release)

  • Already purchased season pass for "The Flash" unavailable to download.

Recently purchased the season pass for "The Flash". Episode 1, the trailer and the "On the Set" for episode two have all automatically downloaded to my desktop. Wondered why episode two didn't download as well, so I went to the iTunes store and see a price tagged slapped over episode two, as if I haven't purchased the season pass. Anyone know whats up with this?

  • Is the season pass for LOST worth it - writers strike?????????????????

hi guys. i purchased the season pass for desperate housewifes and was stunned after i am now left with 10 of the usual 24 episodes....who knows whats coming
i am now considering purchasing the season pass for lost, however I am not sure how many episodes will air...
does anyone know when LOST is running out of material or are they pretty much not affected by it. i want to know before purchasing another season pass....thanks

Lost season 4 is listed as by episode only at this point, right?
I haven't purchased a season pass since the strike started, but if I paid for a season and ended up paying more for a season pass than I would have paid purchasing the episodes individually, then I would contact iTunes support or at least send feedback.
The last time I purchased a season pass that fell short in episodes I received an email from Apple that gave me credit for videos from the iTunes store without even dealing with the feedback system or customer service.
Did you contact Apple regarding the season pass for Desperate Housewives Season 4? That's what? Around 6 or 7 episodes that you overpaid for.
If you aren't satisfied with your previous experience with a season pass during the strike period then contact Apple before spending more money on another pass, if one should become available.
Use http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/seasonpass/ as a starting point.
    Good Luck,
    -j

  • Why cannot I download an episode after I purchase the Complete Season Pass for a TV show?

The iTunes on my iPhone won't allow me to purchase Complete Season Pass for a TV show. After I click the Buy Season Pass button, I got an alert dialog saying, "Cannot Download: There is not enough available storage to download 'Supernatural, Season 7'. You can manage your storage in settings."
My iPhone has 12.4 GB available in the storage, and my iCloud has 24 GB out of 25 GB available. I don't quite understand what is actually the issue. Why is the iTunes not allowing me to purchase the Complete Season Pass? Is it because I don't have enough storage available on my iPhone to download all episodes of the TV show? If so, why can't I just buy the pass then download a particular episode I want without having to download them all?
Can you help me figure out what the issue is?

  • ITunes wants to charge me for a show I bought a season pass for

Back in September, before the show even started, I bought a season pass for the TV show "Total Drama All Stars". For the first 3 episodes, I was sent an email once they were available, and was then easily able to download the episode within minutes. However, I'm currently experiencing an issue with episode 4. Generally, the show airs on TV on Tuesday nights, then shows up on iTunes at 3 AM the next morning. However, when I woke up at 8 AM this morning, I didn't have an email, so I went to check the iTunes store myself. Episode 4 is available, but the store wants to charge me $1.99 for it, even though the season pass already says "purchased". I can still redownload the first three episodes, but I'd have to pay again for the fourth.
How do I report this and get the episode I already paid for? The only report link I could find required me to buy the episode and then request a credit, which I'd rather not do. I paid my 20 bucks for this show a month ago, and even if the cost is minimal, it's still not fair to charge me again to fix a mistake I didn't make.

Ringtones are a ONE-TIME download. If you didn't transfer them to your iTunes library so that you could sync them back to your phone, you will have to re-purchase them.

  • I bought a Season Pass for Bones Season 9, and now the only episode is the most recent one. I can not redownload any of the previous episodes. Help!

I cannot download my previous episodes of Bones. I purchased a season pass for the 9th season. I had to reset my iTunes library, and now I can't redownload the episodes. It gives me a a price for the previous episodes. And on the left corner where there is usually a price on Season pass. It says purchased, but I still have to pay $2.99 for the previous episodes. Please help! Thank you!!
