Apple security question Provider does no longer exist
I am in a bit of pinch here. I forgot my Apple-ID Security Questions and the email-address in which to reset or get the answers from does no longer exist. therefore I want to know:
1. Can I with my Apple rights change the "Back-Up" e-mail address somehow?
2. Do I have to call the support to solve that problem?
3. If I dig out my Computer on which I created the ID, do you think it would solve anything?
thanks in advance

I am terribly sorry if i did a repost

apple ID does not allow me to change primary listed email address, this address does no longer exist and now need to get a secendary listed email address to become primery.
I had a similar problem, which prevented me changing my personal data on iCloud/apple etc. I found the answer on the apple web-site, "appleid.apple.com".
This site lets you change your primary country, and so lets you use the app store. -
I no longer have access to my icloud email and don't know the answers to my security questions. Does anyone know how to work around this to reset my icloud ID without losing my info? I haven't backed up in a year because of this.
You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.

i tried to update my phone and it ended up going into recovery mode. now my phone is locked bc i dont remember my old apple ID security questions, nor does the email exsist anymore. is there anyway i can unlock my phone myself or do i have to go to apple???? ANYONE SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!!

-If you established a rescue email address, there will be a link on the "Passwords & Security" page of id.apple.com. Clicking the link will send the reset to your rescue email address (NOTE: This is not the same address as your Apple ID email)
-If there is no link on the page, then you didn't establish a rescue email address. Contact AppleCare at 800.694.7466 (If you are in the US), and ask for account security. You will need to answer some questions to verify your identity, AND you will need access to a computer to generate a temporary support pin.

I'm having trouble resetting my security questions because I no longer have access to the recovery email account that the link gets sent to and I can't make any purchases in the app or iTunes Store until this is fixed because I'm on a new iPad and it won't let me make any purchases until I've done so
You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.

I want answers to security questions and does not have email Rescue email anthore
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get the questions reset (we are fellow users here on these forums).
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 . Or, if it's available in your country, you could change to 2-step verification : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5570 -

Apple IDs generally don't stop existing. If you mean that you have changed your email address, what you need to do is update your Apple ID to the new email. Start here:

After I installed the recent Apple security patch, I can no longer save PDFs when using Safari. And Firefox no longer can open website PDFs. Any suggestions?
Dansyacht wrote:
If the previous Safari suggestion doesn't work try the following:
In Finder, go to Macintosh HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins and move AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin to the Disabled Plug-ins Folder. Restart Safari. If this works you may just want to delete that FUBAR plug-in.
Thanks. This was the solution for me.

I recently upgraded my device and can't make purchases because I forgot the answers to the apple security questions. How can I reset these?
Thank youIf you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address then see if the instructions on this user tip helps : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4551 -

how to reset apple security questions after apple takes your call can anyone tell me what to do
Hi tyler30389,
You can reset the security questions for your Apple ID by going to My Apple ID and navigate to the Password and Security section to change them. You will have to know the answer and if you do not know them there should be a reset security questions email link. If you do not see one then you will have to contact Apple Support to further assist you. For more information take a look at the article below.
