Apple service request response time.
I recently requested a warranty service for my iPod in Singapore. Immediately after filling in all the details, etc. they said they would send me an e-mail with further instructions. That was several weeks ago, and I still have received no such e-mail.(hopefully i didn't enter the wrong email address). The status check merely states "Dispatch Sent".
My question is: what is the average response time for warranty service for an iPod shuffle and what do they mean by "Dispatch sent". I have after all, not received a replace ment.
Please give me your feedback, thanks.

I can not create a JCA Service (Request / Response)
Hi
I need to generate a JCA Service (Request / Response) to call a MBF that exists in JDE.
I install Oracle Applications Adapters 11.1.1.3.0 in Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.4.0 and follow the Installation Guide and User Guide for applications adapters.
I can view the Business Functions that I packaged with Genjava but when I try to Generate a JCA Service (Request / Response) does not generate the expected files.
The machine on which I have installed the adapters is different from the machine where it was installed JDE
The first warning message appears when i connect to the target:
ADVERTENCIA: Unable to successfully register object with name 'jde:instanceName=*unknown.syworksoa*,metricName=jdenet_connection_manager,metricType=runtime.
javax.management.RuntimeMBeanException: RuntimeException thrown in preRegister method
Note: sywork-soa is the machine on which I have installed the adapters.
The second message appears when i try to generate the JCA Service from a MFB in application explorer.

any help you can give me I am very grateful
Carlos Andres Gonzalez.I have tried to create an account via ePrintCenter and it seems that the published application has several flaws in interpreting the provided input.
1) In the Filed for last Name I enter my last name, which consist of only Alph Characters. The form however thinks that there is some sort of special character and rejects my Input.
2) E-Mail address. is not identical; OK, so I do a quick OCR on the E-Mail and guess what they are identical. Again the form Fails to recognize this.
3) Enter a password (2 Fields) and a third is displayed which is marked as "*required" but is not labeled as to what the required info could possibly be. Or is it a 3 password confirmation box, who knows.
All I know is that a simple registration is a major pain with this HP site.
Any Help as to how to alleviate this would of course be greatly appreciated. -

Monitoring Request and Request response time
Hi All,
I want to monitor request response time of static and dynanic content like html ,jsp from webserver to web application server and also want to monitor status of webserver startup and shutdown. In whole i have to develop a custom plugin for web application server. Please help me out regarding this as iam new to java.
Regards,
PrashantIt doesn't do everything you are looking for, but then in some ways it does more such as monitor performance of jsp, html, sql, and even tracks calls to log4j.

Service Profile Response time values from CRM
Hi experts,
I want to capture RESPONSE TIME from SERVICE PROFILE values defined in CRM system. If you refer CRMD_SERV_SLA transaction then you can find the defined values. In 0CRM_SRV_PROCESS_H Catalog, Code group, Code these values are appearing but I unable to find RESPONSE TIME value.
Has anybody tried capturing response time value in BW? or is there any other field shows this value in Data Source?
Regards,
Priyanka JoshiHi experts,
to get these values RESPONSE PROFILE value must be maintained in the Transaction but in our system its not available so I used SAP Exit to get the value and solved the problem.

WEB SERVICE + REQUEST RESPONSE TRACK
Hello Friends,
I have a issue, I have to consume the webservice made in .NET environment. The web service uses oasis security. so I have to set the SOAP HEADER with user name and passwrod. Unfortunately its not working. My question is , is there any way that one can track the request response... Can I see, how my request packet looks like when it reaches to server ?
Any help will be gr8.
Regards,Hi Raja,
Okey, now I will first paste the request formate which web service is expecting, and then I will paste my code, might be you have hint for me.....

Apple service request declined?!
I am really disappointed about apple declining this request. They told me that the iPod is functioning properly which is clearly not true! I tested again today and I am still getting problems. If I don't get this fixed, apple will be losing a customer which had bought nearly every generation of iPod touch. Someone please help, it's not fair as this problem Is covered under my AppleCare warranty
ThanksI think you've missed the point.
If you tell us what the problam is, instead of simply saying that you have a problem, then perhaps we can help you fix it.
If Apple have declined service because the iPod is functioning properly, that means there is no manufacturing problem. Perhaps the issue is that you are unaware of how to get the best out of your iPod, you have a setting incorrect, or you simply need advice on how to do something. None of that is covered by warranty.
But it's exactly what this community is for. -
I requested service for repair on my ipod touch on March 27. I still have not received anything in my mail.. Will apple get back to me or how long will i have to wait in order for my ipod to get service?
Go to this page and click on the "check my repair status" on the self service box on the right hand side.

If you have not yet send the iPod to Apple and do not have a case number (or similar number), then try again. -
How to resubmit a cancelled apple service request?
I submitted a request to get my iPod nano 1st gen recalled. I got lazy and never sent it in, in time so the status got cancelled. I don't know where to resubmit it, and it won't let me do it again with the serial number. Any help helps ;), thanks.
You will need to call AppleCare.

Apple Service Request D102630778
I received an email indicating the phone has a crack and the amount of money it will be to repair. This is not the reason I sent the phone in. The reason is because the phone stopped charging and the power button does not wok. I had taken the phone to a repair shop, they put in a new charger port and a new battery. Once they did the phone still did not charge. They indicated there must be a manfacture defect. Can you tell me if you are goig to look at the two reasons the phone was sent to you? I was told by the representative from Apple they were going to send me a new phone.
I think you've missed the point.

Web Service request response serialization
I think there may be a bug in the way web service
serialization works in the latest release of flex 2.0. In beta3 web
service element of type array(elements whose maxOccurs="unbounded")
were deserialized by flex in to an object of type Array. However in
the new release web service arrays are now deserialized in to an
object of type ArrayCollecton. The strange behavior comes when Flex
tries to serialize an ArrayCollection. An error is thrown.
In other words
it appears that flex deserializes arrays (elements whose
maxOccurs="unbounded") into ArrayCollection but can not serialize
an ArrayCollection in to an array. It can however handle
deserializing an Array.
Is this behavior intentional?Okay so I was wrong. If you set the makeObjectsBindable on
the WebService to false then collections are deserialized into
Arrays and not ArrayCollections. All is well now. -
ELoad - request time / response time / web transaction ?
Hi there, does anyone know if the test results presented by eLoad should be understood as request time (time between the last byte sent and the first received), response time (first sent, first received) or web transaction (the longest one - first sent, last received)? It really matters when trying to interpret the results properly... In advance thanks for help.
Hi
The results presented by eLoad are the overall request/response times together, so since the moment you sent the request until you have received the response and contents.
Does this help?

ACE 4710: Find out the response time of a real server
Hi to everyone,
I have a couple of ACE 4710 and I need to find out what is the response time of a real server.
Is there a way for this?
Thank you for any answer!
giorgio romanoHi,
Kindly add the following line in your serverfarm configuration:
predictor response syn-to-synack
Suppose your serverfarm looks like this:
serverfarm host AAA_FARM
predictor response syn-to-synack
probe HTTP_PROBE
probe TCP9001_PROBE
rserver SC106

Configuring the Application Response Predictor
To instruct the ACE to select the server with the lowest average response time for the specified response-time measurement based on the current connection count and server weight (if configured), use the predictor response command in server farm host or redirect configuration mode. This predictor is considered adaptive because the ACE continuously provides feedback to the load-balancing algorithm based on the behavior of the real server.
To select the appropriate server, the ACE measures the absolute response time for each server in the server farm and averages the result over a specified number of samples (if configured). With the default weight connection option configured, the ACE also takes into account the server's average response time and current connection count. This calculation results in a connection distribution that is proportional to the average response time of the server.
The syntax of this command is as follows:
predictor response {app-req-to-resp | syn-to-close | syn-to-synack}[samples number]
The keywords and arguments are as follows:
•app-request-to-resp—Measures the response time from when the ACE sends an HTTP request to a server to the time that the ACE receives a response from the server for that request.
•syn-to-close—Measures the response time from when the ACE sends a TCP SYN to a server to the time that the ACE receives a CLOSE from the server.
•syn-to-synack—Measures the response time from when the ACE sends a TCP SYN to a server to the time that the ACE receives the SYN-ACK from the server.
•samples number—(Optional) Specifies the number of samples over which you want to average the results of the response time measurement. Enter an integer from 1 to 16 in powers of 2. Valid values are 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16. The default is 8.
For example, to configure the response predictor to load balance a request based on the response time from when the ACE sends an HTTP request to a server to when the ACE receives a response back from the server and average the results over four samples, enter:
host1/Admin(config)# serverfarm SFARM1
host1/Admin(config-sfarm-host)# predictor response app-req-to-resp
samples 4
To reset the predictor method to the default of round-robin, enter:
host1/Admin(config-sfarm-host)# no predictor
To configure an additional parameter to take into account the current connection count of the servers in a server farm, use the weight connection command in server farm host predictor configuration mode. By default, this command is enabled. The syntax of this command is as follows:
weight connection
For example, enter:
host1/Admin(config)# serverfarm SF1
host1/Admin(config-sfarm-host)# predictor response app-request-to-resp
samples 4
host1/Admin(config-sfarm-host-predictor)# weight connection
To remove the current connection count from the calculation of the average server response time, enter:
host1/Admin(config-sfarm-host-predictor)# no weight connection
You can use threshold milliseconds parameter which is optional Specifies the required minimum average response time for a server. If the server response time is greater than the specified threshold value, the ACE removes the server from the load-balancing decision process (takes the server out of service).
Enter an integer from 1 to 300000 milliseconds (5 minutes). The default is no threshold (servers are not taken out of service).
In case if you have measures the response time from when the ACE sends a TCP SYN to a server to the time that the ACE receives a CLOSE from the server use syn-to-close (already discussed previously)
If you have to measures the response time from when the ACE sends a TCP SYN to a server to the time that the ACE receives the SYN-ACK from the server use syn-to-synack (already discussed previously)
SAMPLES parameter is optional and specifies the number of samples that you want to average from the results of the response time measurement and response time is used to select the server with the lowest response time for the requested response-time measurement. If you do not specify a response-time measurement method, the ACE uses the HTTP app-req-to-response method.
Whenever a server's load reaches zero, by default, the ACE uses the autoadjust feature to assign a maximum load value of 16000 to that server to prevent it from being flooded with new incoming connections. The ACE periodically adjusts this load value based on feedback from the server's SNMP probe and other configured options.
Using the least-loaded predictor with the configured server weight and the current connection count option enabled, the ACE calculates the final load of a real server as follows:
final load = weighted load × static weight × current connection count
where:
•weighted load is the load reported by the SNMP probe
•static weight is the configured weight of the real server
•current connection count is the total number of active connections to the real server
The ACE recalculates the final load whenever the connection count changes, provided that the (config-sfarm-host-predictor) weight connection command is configured. If the (config-sfarm-host-predictor) weight connection command is not configured, the ACE updates the final load when the next load update arrives from the SNMP probe.
If two servers have the same lowest load (either zero or nonzero), the ACE load balances the connections between the two servers in a round-robin manner.

12ms response time... is this rather slow for a high cost display?
I was waiting to buy the new 27" display but now that it has been arrived at a cost of £899 in the UK I am looking at cheaper alternatives, accepting that cheaper will probably mean lower spec. I am surprised to find that many much lower priced displays from manufacturers such as LG, HP, and Samsung appear to have faster response times, for instance 2ms or 5ms, whereas the Apple display's response time is listed as being 12ms. I think I am correct in thinking that a lower response time means that fast action video looks better on screen, but this doesn't seem to make sense that such an expensive and high quality display as Apple's would be slower, so am I misunderstanding something here?
What are the most important figures to take account of when looking at the spec of a good display? You can look at other manufactures. Their price is usually lower. I have a HP 24" with a IPS LCD screen. Apple doesn't have an exclusive on IPS screens.

I see you are in the UK.
This site is better.

OSB with request response MQ business service
Hi,
We have OSB webservice whice interacts with MQ via business service. We need to send the request to MQ request queue and get the response from the response queue.
For this, we have configured a business with MQ transport, request-response is enabled, message id is set for the correlation, auto generate correlation value is chosen.
The business service sends the message but unable receive the response from the response queue. Failing with the error message like
The invocation resulted in an error: [WliSbTransports:381918]Failed to receive response, within the configured timeout, for request message with id 42454BD3E5F7647914544E793F9F0000013EC9DF03918057 and correlation id 42454BD3E5F7647914544E793F9F0000013EC9DF03918057.
But we checked with the end system, the response is sent tot he response queue in no time. We also increased the time out but still same issue.
We noticed that if we dont send the message id, we are getting the response but not response of the request sent but some other response.
Please suggest what needs to be done to fix the issue.Open your business service and navigate to HTTP Transport configuration page and check what is the http type is enabled.
Look to me its with GET method, change it to POST and re-try.
If the above solution is not helping, try to check the Follow HTTP redirects check box below the Advanced Setting in same page.
Thanks,
Vijay
