Why touch and swivel screens arent a good idea on a laptop:
The so-called Gorilla arm: Gorilla arm is a term describing the tired arms users get after reaching out and touching a screen for a long time.
Added thickness: Touch screen panels are usually thicker than non-touch ones—especially if the touch panel has an active digitizer for pen support.
Possibly shorter battery life: Touch screens require more power. Laptop Magazine compared a couple of touch screen laptops with their non-touch counterparts (same model and size) and found that the non-touch laptops lasted over an hour longer.
Easy to break: Swivel screens are notoriously prone to break, especially the hinge and the cable that feeds the screen from the logic board which is being constantly twisted.
And thats what the Ipad is for.

Saving a document to the screen for easy reference
We are using the Q10 and there is a mileage spreadsheet that my staff are to be entering on daily. Is there a way to save to the screen and not have to go through file manager every time?
At least create a separate folder that can be saved to the screen for easy access...
Any ideas...I think the easiest way would be to add that spreadsheet to your Remember app.
You can't add a spreadsheet directly to the applications screen.
You DO have the DocsToGo app on the apps screen also. If you open that, you can that important spreadsheet in the main window of the DocToGo.
And you can move the DocsToGo or Remember app icon to your first apps icon screen.

all of a sudden my iphone stopped charging and you can't hear the music through my ihome iH150 when I connect it to the dock, what can I do to fix the ihome? The ihome does turn on and I already checked for dock possible problems and I don't see anything wrong.
I also have to add that the right earbud only doesn't work on my phone while i'm listening to music. If I'm face timing it's okay. what the heck.

The function of looping a media file (i.e. movie) is typically a function of the media player software, it can not be embedded into a movie file.
As an alternative a video DVD can be programmed during authoring to loop any file (i.e. at end, jump to, start of file) -
I recently migrated my MacBook from 10.5.8 to 10.6.8, using the Snow Leopard CD I purchased from Apple. Since then I have noticed a strange ozone smell coming from the MacBook in the area where the hinges are to open and close the unit. I was told by Apple that it probably is not serious and is coming from the fans in the MacBook. It is true that the smell/odor is more intense when the fans are working. Apple said I should take the MacBook to an Apple Store to have the hardware checked out. Everything seems to be working correctly. I am backing up automatically wirelessly to a Time Capsule, which I had not done until recently, although I had purchased the Time Capsule in 2009. I have not noticed this odor before. Does anyone suspect something more serious that may be going on?
You may be smelling it because with the new OS the processor is having to work harder causing it to get hotter then it would with the other OS. I can't say there is nothing wrong, but what could be happening is just that, it's getting hotter so the fan is spinning faster and moving more air so you are getting more of the smell then you would before. I would still continue to back it up, and take it to the Apple Store at a Genius Bar and have them look at it to make sure. Was the computer ever in a smoky environment??

Apple should make a way to input the passcode into iTunes! If your screen is broke and you have a passcode you cannot backup your device or anything! We should be able to enter the phone passcode in iTunes to bypass entering it on the phone! I cannot do anything when my screen is black without erasing the entire phone!

Apple pay is great feature introduced with the new iphone's. But for 5s users who are not gonna upgrade this year, apple is a requirement. Sure they can use it via apple watch. But apple pay with the online payment system can be used via the touch id, i feel.. Apple should make a note of this and enable it for users.
Probably not, as the 5s doesn't have NFC capability.

Apple should make a server hardware/OS with iOS level security. This could compete well with the breach infested pre secure OS/hardware server systems like Windows Linux OSX. It should be structurally immune to phishing etc and could be sold easily as a secure alternative. It should be based on structural hardware based security as has been demonstrated in the iOS operating system and the hardware should be made in secure facilities in the US. Those Chinese put weaknesses into the hardware they make as has been documented on 60 minutes.
Apple's entry in the server market has come and gone - is there a question in there somewhere?

My iPad screen has gone black. I have tried resetting it with the sleep and home buttons and it only flashes the apple on the screen for a nano second and then it goes black again. I can even hear notifications arriving, but I cannot see anything...I'd rather not reset it to the factory settings as I have a lot of things I worry about using. Either way seems to me that the system itself is working since I can hear it working, but its the screen that isn't. It has not been dropped and has been in a case for years! Please help!
When the power is on and I press the home button, I can slide my finger where the slider bar "would be" and it makes the noise as if its "opening" flashes a blue screen then returns black...

Wear and tear around where the screen is connected to the body
I have a mac book pro,, and recently I noticed some wear and tear in the area where the screen is connected to the body,, represented by discoloration in the material on both sides at the exact location where the screen plastic connects inside the almunim body. I was wondering whether I should be worried,, and if it is something to worry about would my appeal care cover it?
If it is just at the bottom of the screen surround on the rubber part, I would not be concerend. You can remove it with a damp Qtip, turn your MBP off and be gentle and you can get the dirt off. If you have concerns, take to Apple you have Applecare.

I put my iPod charging, but it wont charge. The Apple logo appears on the screen for five seconds and then it goes off again. Afterwards, it does it again and again and again. I can leave it 1 hour or day charging and it will be doing this the whole time. What should i do????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? /
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

i recently bought a macbook pro and i made a new apple id. my last macbook had a different id as well and i was wondering if there's a way of transferring all my music from the other laptop to the new one without having to use my old apple id? if it makes any type of difference i have an iphone 5 so i tried transfering the music but it only transfered certain things and not my entire album.
Making a new Apple ID was the worst thing you could of done. This is very bad to do. Not sure why people do that. Your Apple ID is Your Apple ID. You only need one and it is best to only have one Apple ID for all apple devices.

my macbook wont start the screen turn blue and stay like that for hrs. It only work when i use safe mode, i try to use disk utilities to fix it but the disk utilities keep saying error and a bunch of other stuff.
