Apple start page after clicking safari icon
Downloaded safari for Mac/Windows and installed. When I click the safari icon I get apple.com/startpage with all the info I would ever want about apple, but no browser. What to do ? Thanks
Nevermind. Finally noticed bookmark icon at top left. Duh.

Apple Start page no longer works with Safari 1.3.2?
I just set up an iBook G3 with Mac OS X 10.3.9, with all updates, and opened Safari, which is set to got to the Apple Start page initially:

Safari loads the page, but two areas are blank: the "Hot News Headlines" in the middle of the page, and the "iTunes Movie Trailers" on the left side. No content appears in these areas. If I click on the "All" next to "Hot News Headlines" a page of html-code text appears.
When I load this page in Firefox or Camino, these areas have the expected content: text in "Hot News Headlines" and a picture in "iTunes Movie Trailers".
I know Safari 1.3.2 is pretty old now, and cannot be upgraded to anything later, since it's integrated with 10.3.9; for this reason I recommend using a more current browser such as Camino or Firefox with this System. Yes, Safari v1.3.2 is quite dated by today's standards. And yes, the Apple StartPage doesn't work for me either 100% on Safari v1.3.2.
Most Panther users have migrated to Camino. FireFox 2 is no longer updated for Panther either.
On Panther I use Opera and SeaMonkey.

After clicking Safari prompt box to "Download Flash..." , I'm linked to the Adobe Flash Player Download page. I click the "Download Now". The page advance to next page in the download process but then immediately goes black and nothing happens. System preferences firewall is off and apps are allowed from anywhere and in Safari other plug ins are allowed and cookies are not blocked and pop up windows are not blocked. Why won't Flash Player download?
Don't DL Flash from web sites. If you have Adobe Flash installed it should be in System Preferences and you can find the latest version and download from there.
If you are installing for the first time,this is where to DL it.

My apple start page does not come up unless I reboot, neither does apple website
My apple start page has stopped coming up when I click on safari unless I reboot. Some times no apple website will come up.
Search engines are not clairvoyant. So you have to tell them you exist :

You could also have posted the URL in your message.
Google indexes this forum in real-time and would have found your URL within hours.

Apple start page text in arabic
when i open safari for some reason the apple start page has started to display the text of the apple stories in a font that looks like arabic.
the rest of the fonts eg. itune top songs, are all normal english
please helpMake sure you dump the fonts Helvetica Fractions and Times Phonetic if you have them.

when I start my computer the safari icon jumps up and down and i get a note: 'Community Toolbar' I'm sorry, but Safari browser version you are currently using does not support the community toolbar. How do i get rid of this?

Firefox 8 Crashes immediately after clicking the icon. (Won't load safemode either)
Firefox 8 crashes immediately after clicking the icon. It does not even show the windows for a second. It immediately goes to the crash reporter. I tried holding shift while opening firefox to load safemode, but the problem is still there.

Would you mind providing more details(screenshot would be better) about your requirement? It would make others easier to find a solution for you.
Suppose that there is a scenario like this: Edit a page, when content grows too large, page will scroll to the bottom of the page. When clicking “Save” button in the
ribbon, by default, page will scroll to the top just like it is first loaded in the browser.

When I am in safari and go to a site, I now do not have a place to "search". I accidently lost the original page that appears when going to safari. How do I get back to my original "start-page" that I started with?
I think you may mean the search box on the toolbar. In Safari click on the View menu and select Show Toolbar.
Alternatively, if you mean the 'Home Page' then open Safari -> Preferences -> General and next to 'Homepage' put in the address of the page you want - I'm guessing "http://www.google.com/". -
Safari displays grey page after clicking on a download link.
As I wrote in the title of this post Safari (5.0.1) opens up a new tab which displays grey page and fails to download a file.

From your Safari Menu Bar click Safari / Empty Cache.
As for downloads.
Open a Finder window. Select your Home Folder in the Sidebar on the left. It has a small house icon. Open open the Library folder then the Safari folder.
Move the Download.plist file to the Trash.
Relaunch Safari.

New tab blank page icon is not selectable and therefore I can not click and drag it to home page icon. Other pages work, but not blank pages. I do not want Firefox Start Page.

When I open safari to get on the internet suddenly my apple start up page that safari first opens is only a square size on the scree instead if the usual full widescreen display. Hitting the green +open button in upper left corner doesn't open it up. Every internet page is displayed this way. How do I fill up the whole screen?

Mary is right. Once you drag the bottom right corner to the size you want and leave it there, the next time you open Safari, that is the size it will be.
You can put this in your Safari menu bar if you like too...
