Apple store gave me a new iPhone, woo-hoo!
My old iPhone (a 51 week old 3GS model) had a problem with overheating....so the Apple store gave me a new iPhone, woo-hoo! However, I'm not sure if this is a new model or a reconditioned phone. How long can I expect it to last? It has a 90 day warranty.
I just got a replacement 3gs too.
It's running much better than my original.
The replacement is running 3.1.3 and I will NOT upgrade to iOS4..which is what trashed my original 48 week old 3gs.
Really appreciate that year warranty when they have so many bad OS updates.
My Apple Store made me jump thru a few hoops before replacing it, but it was all worth it to get a 3GS that works right and is MUCH faster than the original.

I don't believe they were looking for a trade in, they are due for a subsidized Verizon upgrade. I think the bringing the iPhone 4 was for setting it up and transferring as Verizon does not require you to swap your previous phone for an upgrade.

If it's under warranty and they determine it's a defect and not caused by abuse, yes. If it's out of warranty or was physically damaged, then no. You'll need to pay for an out of warranty replacement.

according to the tech specs' required to use iClode it seems that Apple is ignoring it's promisses to their valued costumers since 2001..I have to go to an Apple store and buy a new MacBook and iPhone..mm yeah right we are all swimming in cash. On June Apple had promissed it's old valued costumers that they can continue to access their Mac mail accounts via a browser. But hey ! why keep promisses. Now you need to purchase all the latest gadgets to use y'r Mac mail-iCloud. MOVING TO GMAIL !

My iPhone 6 has a clicking sound coming from the top left of the device as if its no aligned properly with the frame.

in the UK.If they determine the sound to be a manufacturing defect, then yes, they will replace your iPhone with a refurbished unit of identical specs. The replacement will have the same warranty as your original iPhone, for as long a time as what is left on your iPhone's warranty at the time of exchange.

Is she going to want to keep the same number? If not, you can go into somewhere like Carphone warehouse and ask for a new EE sim card sometimes costs £5 but they normally do a deal like top up £10 and get something free. i'm sure EE shop would supply these also, the only trouble you may have is the time that it would take to port the same number over

Only get a blank page.????We've had the same problem with our iPhone 4s too. I've had mine for a couple of months and just since Christmas have noticed that it sometimes won't load either.....just a nice white screen. My husband on the other hand just got an identical phone to me a few days ago and it's even worse for getting on to the app site. What is going on? Even my son's iPod since Christmas has had difficulty getting on to it too.
I was told that it's basically an overload on the Apple server....understandable but where is the fix for this problem? I'm looking through all forums and can't find anything. I'm almost thinking of calling Customer Service again, but I've got other things to be doing than trying to troubleshoot this issue.

Was told by the person at the APple store today to open new library on I-tunes - he felt the current library has something wrong and that opening a new library and transferring the music to there would perhaps prevent the ipod from becoming corrupt. Any ideas how to do this???

Apple stores UK opening times for iPhone 4
I'm working on the release day of the iPhone and the Apple store is an hour away from where I live so I will just miss the normal closing time. Historically do Apple stores stay open later on iPhone launch days in the UK?
Any input great fully received!Is there not an O2/T-Mobile/Orange/Vodafone/3UK/Carphone Warehouse/Phones4U shop nearer to you or have you pre-ordered from Apple and need to pick-up?
Last year I finished work, travelled back from Bristol to Gloucester, walked into the O2 shop and didn't have to queue for a minute to get my 3GS.

I have pages 4.1 on my iMac and they tell me I have to download Pages for my iPhone to store in iCloud, etc; but when I go to the Apple Store to download via my iPhone it only gives me a Pages 1.6 or something like the version. ?

Most certified Apple technicians can also provide you with a spare screw... just look up your closest tech. -
I would like to have one apple ID and sign in for the Australian Apple Store and for the New Zealand Apple Store without it asking me to switch stores. Is this possible? If not can I setup two stores (one in each country) using the same email address and same password (both and / or either)?
An iTunes account can only be used in one store at a time, and you need to be in that country with a valid billing address on your account for that country in order to use it there. An email address can only be linked to one account, so if you want two separate iTunes accounts then you will need two email addresses
