Apple Store Gift card not Activated

im trying to redeem an apple store 25$ gift card, but it says that my card is not correctly activated. how do i fix that?

Ask the people at the store the gift card came from or the iTunes Store staff for assistance.

    I have purchase more than $1000 (thousand) gift cards and redeemed them successfully, but my last 25$ (Can) App Store could not be redeemed. I used camera to scan the code, and then also tried manual to input correct code. But I get error message on iPhone App Store - " your card/code is not activated properly"!

    When you buy a card the store has to activate it (they usually swipe it through the till) so that it can then be used - are you able to take it back to the store that you bought it from and ask them to activate it proplerly ?
    If not then how did you contact Support ? I usually say to contact them via this page for gift cards : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then iTunes Cards And Codes (and they may want images of the front and back of the card, and possibly its receipt)

    The Canadian Apple Store online does not list gift cards as a payment option.

    Whereas the US store does list gift cards as an option. We are the same here in the UK - Apple gift cards can't be used online, only in retail Apple Stores
    We can however use iTunes gift cards for apps - hurrah!!
    I could be wrong as like you I don't buy on the Canadian online store. Perhaps the best thing is for the OP to phone the order line and enquire.

    According to Apple, "Note: Apple Gift Cards cannot be redeemed at the iTunes Music Store. Purchase an iTunes Music Card instead." So no. Sorry. Hope this helps though.

    I have an APPLE STORE GIFT CARD, NOT an iTunes or App Store gift card, but there is no category for the Apple Store, so I figured I would ask here.
    According to the instructions on this website, I'm supposed to be able to redeem my card online by checking out my cart and selecting the "Gift Card" option, but when I checkout, there appears to be no such option.     Hey Carterc25, I have been dealing with the same issue this morning... I've talked to the senior adviser of Applecare and "Bruce" told me the only way to convert apple gift card to itunes is by physically going to an Apple Retail Store and buy an Itunes gift card. Many people don't understand the difference between "apple" and "itunes" in gift cards so it is only obvious more people will fall victim to scheme. My advice is DO NOT BUY APPLE GIFT CARD.
    Another reason to ditch Apple and be a Microsoft customer. #Microsoftisbetterthanapple

    An Apple Store gift card can only be used to buy at an Apple Store, not in iTunes Store. If the card comes with a key, you can try redeeming it in the iTunes Store in case it is an iTunes gift card.

    So, many months ago, prior to the announcement that Lion would be downloaded and installed through the Mac App Store, I purchased an Apple Gift Card (not iTunes) to ensure the money was "set aside".  I did this with the anticipation that Lion, like all other OS's before it, would be installed via a disc and not downloaded.  Although I love the option of downloading the latest OS, I am in a bind because I now have a, virtually, worthless Apple Gift Card that cannot be redeemed for Lion at all...which is extremely frustrating.  Is there a way to make this purchase or am I just screwed?

    You can't buy apps or an itunes gift card with an apple store gift card. They are two different things.
    "Apple Store Gift Cards may not be redeemed at the iTunes Store, through any Apple resellers, or at any Apple Online Store, Apple Specialist, or Apple Retail Store outside the United States."
    However, this was not told to my aunt when she purchased the card for me. She thought, and I agree, that you should be able to purchase apple software with an apple store gift card. You can't.

    You should also be able to try resending it (and double-check the email address) : Resend iTunes Gifts.

    Sorry to hear about your car... I can relate several times over through the years.
    You might try calling the nearest "Apple SHOP" - an Apple staffed/trained "store within a store"-  to see if they will have the Watch available in the time frame you desire to purchase. I would want to try them on... it is jewelry after all
