Apple store hours of operation?
Are all apple stores open at 8:00am for the iphone debut or just select stores? The store by me normally doesnt open until 10:00am (in a mall).
They're all going to open at 8am! Excited?

so Apple Care and Genius Bar are not really practical care policies for my new iMac 17. CompUSA is available. I talked to them and then w "permission" cuz I got an Ed Discount I purchased from Apple.
Anyone had experience w them and their care policy? TIA, JPHi elmac, Welcome to Apple's Users Help Users Forums.\
The person I talked to here in "guess" seemed very knowledgeable. We had common acquaintances. I will ponder a while longer.

On my reservation it says 7am. I know the store usually opens at 10am. I've seen customers who made appts in the store well before 10am. Will the store open for everyone at 7am or only those who reserved?
Everyone will be lined up and employees will let people in one at a time.

The apple store is so unhelpful. I have an iMac computer operating on Mac OSX 10.5.8. I want to upgrade to the latest Mountain Lion operating system so I can work with the iCloud on my computer and download my emails. I can't seem to purchase this on-line as it keeps telling me to go to the app store. I haven't got the app store on my computer as I am told I need iCloud for which I need the new operating system, which I can't download or purchase as I am sent back to an instruction telling mee to go to the app store icon.
How difficult can it be to simply purchase the software on-line have it shipped to you so you can install it, in the event it cannot be downloaded as it appears it can't be based on my curent operating systems being Mac OSX 10.5.8.Requirements for OS X 10.6 'Snow Leopard'

Whilst Apple have withdrawn Snow Leopard from download, you can still get it from Apple by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE (if you are in the USA) and they will supply the SL DVD for $30. You can also purchase the code to use to download Lion from the same number.

i was having problems with my phone so i went into the apple store and it turns out there was a problem with my operating systerm so i got an update in the store. I want to get my contacts and my pictures back from my old iphone but when I was in the apple shop the man told me to start the phone as a new phone instead of restoring it from an earlier back up as i could get the bug back once restored, is there any way for me to get my pictures and contacts back without restoring it and getting the bug? Thanks
You should restore from the back up so you can get the info back on your device. Then, what you can do is import those pictures to your computer.
At that point, you'll want to restore again as new possibly, then once your phone is as new, use iTunes to sync those picture from your computer back to your phone.
As far as contacts, do you know if those were ever backed up to iCloud? If so, all you should need to do is sign in with you iCloud account. -
5 days ago I bought a 13" MacBook Air from an apple store. It does not have Maverick on it! I paid full price for it, but since it has the old operating system I kind of feel like I bought a "clearance" item but payed full price for it! Does anyone have any advice, wisdom etc. This is my first Mac and I'm really bummed that it's not the latest and greatest. I know I can download maverick for free.....but are there other differences? Maybe something else that I thought I was getting but didn't? Thanks.
There is no difference, you didnt get "shorted" Mavericks is a FREE DOWNLOAD
Open the APP store and download Mavericks.
You didnt buy a "clearance" item, you just got an Air that was there at the shop before Mavericks was released.

iPhone 5s replaced after one month at apple store. They started restore and it is still restoring after 24 hours. What can I do?
If you feel the restore process is not progressing, all you can do is stop it and try again. To stop the restore, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup and tap Stop Restoring iPhone at the bottom. Then go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup and follow the prompts. Be sure your phone is connected to wifi and your charger while it is restoring the backup.

First time I brought it to Apple Store they replaced the cable. Second time, was there for 4 hours no joke and still does the issue. Today, same thing. What do I do now!?

My iPhone 4 shut down in the middle of a conversation and won't restart or charge now. Any suggestions? The nearest Apple store is hours away and I depend on my phone to stay in constant touch with my child's specialist.
I've tried that several times. It will not reset. The screen just stays black. I've never had this problem before. It usually resets the first time.

I have not been able to connect to the internet on my iPhone and iPad the past 36 hours.Went to the Apple store today and he said that maybe it will come back on it's own. Your post says you have an iPhone 3G. Is it running iOS 4.2.1, which is the latest iOS it can run? Even if so, it's now quite old (nearly five years). That could be part of the problem.
Anyway, maybe you should delete your mail account (Settings >> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -- if it was still called that back in the iOS 4.2.1 days), and start over.

My iPhone overheats. Battery drops from 100/90% to 10% sudenly. Got the device 20 days ago. I'm currently living in The Hague, there is no Apple Store in this city, took an appointment in Amsterdam, after 3 hours drive and 60€ travel cost got into the Apple Store, 73 minutes delay on my appointment the Genius tech tells me I should leave my device for further checks in the store and come back in a week or two. Not presicely the answer I was looking for, plus he did not have any device to lend me until my iPhone was checked. I want to get the new iPhone 5s right when it comes out. I was just wondering what you guys thought. Should I go to the apple store (closet one is an hour away and always busy) or should I go to my local Verizon store. I know when the 5 came out last year they ran out of the iPhone 5. What do you think my best bet will be??
There's really no way anyone can even guess, since we have no idea what sort of stock will be available and how Apple will distribute it. It's not impossible that your local Verizon store will not have any units at all on the first day, or they could have a quantify. We just can't know. If your Verizon store can't give you some idea, you'll just have to make your best guess. Note that people are already lining up at Apple Stores in at least a couple of cities according to reports, and started doing so earlier this week.

I had my I phone 4s replaced today at the Apple store. I previously backed it up on ICloud. I'm downloading from ICloud to the new phone. The pictures have been stuck on number 215 for an hour now. I've turned the phone off and on several times, but it won't progress in downloading the pictures. This happened the last time the phone was replaced and there was something I could do to get things moving, but I don't remember what?
Then you'll have to decide when you think it's hung and unlikely to restart. At that point, you'll probably have to reset it (by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release) and try restoring the backup again.
The only "solution" I've seen posted on photos that fail to restore from a backup that seems to have worked for others, is the on posted by ezjules here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19518589#19518589. If you restore the backup again, you could give it a try and see if it works for you.
