Apple store verizon iphone new or refurbished
I took my VZW iphone 4 to the apple store for a bad battery. They replaced the entire phone. The replacement phone was out of a plain black box. How do i tell if this was a new phone or a refurbished iphone. They said some are new and some are Like new. Please help.

You can't tell, and it really doesn't matter. You turned in a phone with a bad battery and got a like new phone with a new battery. It has the same warranty period as your original phone or 90 days from the date of replacement, whichever is longer.

As Ethmoid says, it is still a CDMA phone as I told you earlier, and it will not work with t-mobile. Even if Sprint unlocked the phone, it would only unlock the GSM side for international use. They will not unlock the GSM side for domestic use in the US.

I was wondering if apple stores have iPhone 5s in stock
I have called my local store in Santa Rosa Ca every day since the 22nd of september. They always say out of stock. I have saved the phone in my cart @ the online apple store and log in everynight just at the moment the on store pickup option has been turned on. Every night I get the same message unavailable and it's unavalable in all stores within a large radius. So today I go into the store because I know the at&t store in the same shopping mall expected to get delivery of more iphones at 4:00. So I stop by the apple store only to be told they sold out. I asked the manager if they have replenished stock since the first sell out on the 22nd and he said yes they have been getting new stock regularly however they sell out shortly after they open @ 10:00 am. So I'm thinking hmmmm. This means the online inventory doesn't work, the store holds all incoming inventory until the next day and won't tell you when the next order is due in. So if you need a phone like I do, since my screen is cracked, your basically screwed until Apple decides they are going to give their stores enough stock to last until the next delivery, the online inventory starts working, or the stores tell you when they expect another order to arrive so you can show up then. I don't see any of those things happening any time soon or at all.

I bought a brand new Mac 27" desktop that came loaded with Adobe CS6. Everything worked like a charm until the hard drive, 1Tb, developed a bad sector and the Apple Store reinstalled a new one as I had extended warranty with them. They recycled the drive immediately (like a fool I didn't ask for it back to get the data off it.) But luckily I have all my data on CrashPlan. I downloaded it and it worked great except I downloaded it to the desktop and not the original location so it got squirrely. I also have an external 1.5Tb drive that I wanted to make bootable so I installed Mavericks 10.9.3 . I then went ahead and installed it on the newly installed drive too.
I think that because I have a new drive Adobe thinks I have a news computer. I bought the 27" Mac brand new from Ebay and it came loaded with software, including CS6. I have a serial number for CS6 but Adobe said it wasn't valid. (I have owned CS2, CS4 and now CS6 which came preloaded onto the Mac by the seller who told me that the software was registered to the Mac???
I am going to re-download the backup but this time to the original location (I still don't think it will work with Adobe. What can I do about this?

My Hard Drive died and when the Apple store installed the new drive they upgraded me to Mavericks. I no longer had iPhoto. Where do I get iPhoto, do I need it and where are my pictures going when they import??? Help I'm SO confused and frustrated. Thank you.
You need two items
1 - the iPhoto application -
You install it from the App Store
2 - and the iPhoto library - restore form your backup from just before the disk died - no importing involved - simply restore and launch iPhoto and it will look in the pictures folder and open it and it will be exactly the way it was when you made the backup
As to your question Do you need it - No you can manage your photos anyway you please - iPhoto is a good way but not required - you can use any software you want and you can import photos using image Capture (in your applications folder) or any other software you choose - If you use iPhoto then they by default going your iPhoto library - if you use other software then they go where you say to put them

Hello, I have an Apple Mac Pro Laptop. It is an older machine but I just had the Apple Store install a new hard drive with OSX 10.6.8. It runs great but I need to load software. Will it run CS4 Design Standard? Or, will I need CS5. This machine can't run 10.7.

Once my iPod touch 4th generation had an issue with the home button, so I made a genius bar reservation. When i got there I explained to the nice girl working there what the problem is. She did her things and then made a decision to give me a new iPod touch. After it was all said and done, Not being sure I asked her if this is new or used. She said confidently that Apple doesn't do or give refurbished things, so I walked out all happy that my iPod touch now has no more home button issue. So now a little over a year and a half later my iPad 2 has what looks like a dead pixel on the upper left hand side of the screen, I'm planning a genius bar appointment but I posted some questions here to see if there are other options. one person suggested I go to the apple store and show them and they will most likely exchange it with a refurbished one that'll be like new. That's my question, why did the nice girl tell me the day I took in my iPod touch that Apple doesn't do or give refurbished items? I rather keep this iPad I'm using now with the dead pixel then get a refurbished one that may have other problems like a bad home button or something.

My I phone 5 got very hot actually boiling hot although it was not exposed to any external heat ...it was fully charged and within 10 minutes it was half charged 50% and within one minute it was shut down ... Tried re charging through the computer and through the power but no response the phone is totally black... Tried connecting to I tunes and no response.. The thing is that I bought the I phone 5 on the 23 rd December 2012 from Manhattan new York and I live in Qatar and there is no service centre in qatar .. I am now without a phone although I paid 706$ and that's a big amount .. I am disappointed .. I bought an original phone from the original apple store and I ended up with a product that didn't survive for a month.. What quality assurance do the apple have on their products...I need help here

Well, I checked the iphone and the battery charged going from the bolt to the plug in the upper right hand corner very quickly. On my other cell phones, charging took a REAL long time.
Again, is this normal? I unplugged the iphone from the charger and I am going to monitor the battery power today. I find it odd that the battery would work on standby for 4 days without recharging the battery and then start doing something wacky. Any thoughts? -
How can I use a foreign SIM in a Japanese Apple store bought iPhone 4s?
Recently I bought an iPhone 4S from the Apple Store in Ginza (I have just moved to Japan) and took it with me on holiday to Australia. Not wanting to pay extortionate roaming charges I bought myself an Australian Alstra SIM and put it in my phone. My phone kept saying that the SIM was invalid. We checked that it was fine in other phones and came to the conclusion that for some reason my phone would not take it. The Apple store in Sydney then told me that my phone was locked, I told them that this should not be possible as l had bought the phone from the Apple Store. They said there was nothing they could do.
I am very angry because it looks like I have been sold something that I do not now own. Is it possible to get iPhones in Japan that will support other networks (ie have I been sold a dud) or, if not, can they be unlocked (I'm going to be going to the uk soon and will again want to put a local SIM in)?

It would seem (from other sources too) that all Japanese phones in Japan are locked to Japanese networks and that this is currently a requirement to do with managing phone usage. So I can (again apparently) use any Japanese SIM in my phone but no other! I will have to see what I can do about getting the phone unlocked...
