Apple store & windows install

I'd like to have windows put on my daughters computer but I'm not comfortable doing it myself. Does the apple store offer a service where it will setup bootcamp and install windows? If they don't, do I have any other options?

Products and services? I don't see anything there. I've already looked up how to do it under the technical documents. That is how I know I don't think I can do it.

I have a problem with Apple store when installing large application (example xCode): The system crashes.
It begun with 10.8 usualy with few tries it work but with 4.6 no succes.
Any suggestion?

If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out these instructions.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

i tired to install bootcamp when i get my black macbook leopard
but i couldnt install it. the screen keeps giving me error that the windows
doesnt work. the disk is called: microsoft windows XP home edition service pack 2.
i dont know if its the right disk. cuz i cant find the first disk.
if i take my macbook to the apple store would they install for me? or i still need the windows disk??

Pages purchased via Apple Store not installed in MacBook Pro

Hi, I bought a new MacBook Pro recently (Mac OS X Version 10.7.4). I purchased Pages via Apple Store and click the 'INSTALL' button. After that I found that Pages is never installed in my computer (I check the applications folder and could not find pages installed in it). Can anyone help me out.

You are right. There is an application in MacBook Pro (Lion) with the name App Store.
I purchased the software using this application only.
I am sorry. I did not purchase it online in apple online store. I purchased online through this application (App Store).
Finally, I figured out. I had a previous installation of iWork in my MacBook Pro (Lion). I read in the internet
about this and came to know that I should go to Library/Preferences/ and then delete Com.Apple.iWork.
I did this. Rebooted the system and then tried to install. I was successful and now Pages is installed.

If i purchased a OWC SSD Drive for my mac could i take it into the apple store to install?

You can give it a try, but I doubt that the Apple Retail Store will install it.
Make sure you bought an OWC Aura Pro SSD and not a normal SSD. The first one is flash storage and the second one is flash storage but in an enclosure, and the second one does not fit inside the MacBook Air

Do Apple Store representatives install screen protectors?

I recently purchased a three-pack of screen protectors from Amazon and am disappointed with the bubbles produced from my first four installations (The company sent me a new pack after I messed up completely on the first three). Admittedly, I am not the greatest at screen protector installations, but my fourth protector is bearable. I was wondering, though, if I could walk into an Apple Store (or get a Genius appointment) with an unused protector and have them do a "perfect" installation for me.

I'm getting tired of people who supposedly know what
they're doing simply guessing that resinstalling the
OS might solve the issue. It's like trying to dissect
a frog with a sledge hammer, and wondering why you
didn't learn anything about anatomy in the process.
These sorts of things, although bizarre, should be

Thanks for the suggestion... but I think my first question would be why these parameters would need re-setting? This is a new machine... It has never been shut down hard. It is used at most 10 hours per week... mostly using Office 2004 for MAC. I need to figure this out as I will soon need it as a Cs2/CS3 - Aperture workhorse.
I too agree that it is best not to use a sledge when a scalpel is needed... but as a novice to the MAC world I may have been misled by Apple support. I seems to have fixed the symptoms ( some) but appears NOT to have addressed the cause... which is what I am after.

Ready to throw my server through an apple store window

So I have my server up and running and most of the services work just fine, ie DNS AFP ical ichat.
Open Directory and user permissions has been driving me up a wall !
All my machines are locally bound, recognized and in a machine group.
1. None of my users can log into the wiki. period. the login window just shakes at me.

2. Only locally created admin accounts are working to authorize installs and accept certificates, etc. Even though my account is set up as an admin.

3. I have created a group for editors, I granted them access to all local drives via WGM>machine group>preferences>media access. They are still having problems writing to local drives without a 'local admin' authentication. Also when they remote connect to another machine via afp, they only get access to their home folder and other users public folders, not the local drives. I band-aided this by going into sharing on the machine and dragging in all of the local drives and giving the editors group write permissions.
This is a really clumsy way to manage workgroup machines. I should be able to set 1 master setting in WGM and have all bound computers OBEY!
4: I cant get VPN to authenticate when I am outside the building, I am just going to assume it is a firewall issue, but its still another issue I am facing.

When I try to access the Apple store to install a game on my Iphone3g, another person's email address comes up on the page that asks for my password. Has someone hacked my account? It won't accept my password because it's someone else's ID!!!

When I attempt to install a game on my I phone 3g, another person's ID (email address) is on the little box where it asks for my password. It won't accept my password because it's not my ID. How can I get this person's ID off my phone? Have I been hacked or something??

Is it possible that if i buy a ssd and let the apple store people install it for me

Apple won't install a third-party SSD for you - you can do it yourself if you can handle a screwdriver.
A lot of videos on YouTube take you straight through the process. All you need is the SSD, an enclosure to hold your old hard drive, Carbon Copy Cloner, and a couple of screwdrivers.

PSE 10 from Apple Store problem with camera raw 6.7 upgrade

PSE 9 was not opening Nikon d4 raw files so I've purchased PSE 10 at the Apple Store and installed on my Mac. PSE 10 is still not opening d4 raw files (camera raw 6.5). I tried to update to 6.7 taken from Adobe but did not succeed to install it. Could you please advice what to do?

You will have to do the update manually for the app store version. Instructions are here:
