I cannot buy apps off MY account because I cant remember the answer to my security questions. Yes I went online and tried changing it, didnt work. Then I contacted support and they emailed me back with this

After that I called tech support, they couldnt fix it either (Surprise Surprise...). This is really starting to aggrevate me because I have previously purchased apps already! Could someone from apple support please help me or contact me ASAP.

no one from applecare is reading your post, this is a user to user discussion however,on your email they had politely inform you that their apple id system for resetting password is currently down, which i beleive is a global issue of applecare right now...all we can do is to extend our patience this they fixed their worldwide system issue...if we can

    All the level one tech says is to reinstall leopard.... That cannot be the only option. Has anyone seen this warning before?

    Those are just warnings and do not create any problems according to Apple.
    If you want to get rid of all but one of those warnings, download and reinstall 10.5.1 directly from the Apple site. It will get rid of all but one of those SUID warnings.

    Your photos are gone.  When you synch your phone with iPhoto, the actual picture file does not synch, rather is is a very small thumbnail file suitable for viewing on the phone, but of such small resolution that it's useless for anything other than viewing on the phone.  In any case, Apple makes no way for you to retrieve these thumbnail file.
    If you deleted photos from iPhoto, your only hope is if you have Time Machine or another backup that might have had those photos.  Are they perhaps still in the "Trash" within the iPhoto app?

    Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
    * Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
    "Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    * Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
    Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
    * Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
    * Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    * Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)

    Warranty and support is only valid in the country of origin, or in the case of a device purchased in an EU country, only in an EU country.
    Unless you will be visiting an Apple store in one of the EU countries before the warranty expires, you are pretty much out of luck.

  • HT3529 After trying every suggestion on apple support and then finally calling them and being hung up on by a very rude apple operator, Issue is that when sending iMessage my info comes up as apple if email not contact name...I've tried everything online

    Under Settings > Messages > Receive At, I see my phone number grayed out. This is because the phone number cannot be removed. However, one screen beyond that (tap on Caller ID), then it is not grayed out and I can toggle the email or phone number. Are you sure you are on the Caller ID screen and not the Receive At screen?

    At apple.com choose support than in the middle of the page you see two smiling people click on them they are apple support.  You can send an email to iTunes store support but not to anyone else really unless you use the feedback email, which won't help you.  Borrow a friend/family members phone and call them soon 1-800-MY-IPHONE.  Try the website https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do to try that serial number out again.  You may have entered it wrong and just don't know it.  The zero's 0 sometimes look like O's, it might be as simple as that.

    If you are trying to change the iCloud ID ("email address") you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted.  If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • IPhone wont send email from a certain mail account

    I know the settings are right, but the iPhone wont send mail from one of my mail accounts (hosted by the company i work for, which offers mail hosting as a service, and has hundreds of other iPhone users with the same account settings.)
    The progress bar that indicates "sending" zips by suspiciously quickly when I hit Send, but there is no audio confirmation. Then the email is gone - its not in my Sent Items folder, and its not in the Drafts folder and its not in my broom closet.
    From what I understand, if one SMTP server isn't available, it should default to the AT&T SMTP server, but it apparently doesn't even get that far, because the phone must think it's sent the message, or it would end up in the Drafts folder (or Outbox, I can't recall), which is what I would normally experience if I had no service at the time I was sending the message. I have two other accounts that work normally on the iPhone. Nothing has been recently changed with the SMTP server in question, which works fine with all my other devices.
    I've tried:
    • deleting the account and re-adding it manually (four times)
    • deleting the account and syncing it with my computer (three times)
    • hard resetting the iPhone
    • ensuring that the primary SMTP server for this account is, in fact, switched to "On" in Settings->Mail, Contacts, and Calendars, <mail account>-->SMTP (which brings me to another question: how do I edit this list? Is it automatically populated by the accounts in my Mail app?

    One thing that might help.
    If your primary server is hosted by your company, double check the outgoing settings.
    Host Name:
    Use SSL:
    Authentication:
    Server Port:
    If it zips through your primary server without effect, try turning the primary server off and one of the secondary on.
    If connected to Edge or 3G, you can use ATT's SMTP server.
    If issue still persists, then set up a gmail or yahoo account to test with.
    Both are free email services.
    If still fails, then general troubleshooting might help.

  • Podcast Not Appearing?? Apple support no help!!

    We have a radio program that has been featured as a podcast on itunes since Jan 2009. We had no problems with our podcast feed until the past two months when a new intern messed up the RSS feed. I corrected the mistakes, but our podcast feed never updated to reflect that it had been corrected. (It had stopped updating our feed). After a couple weeks of no updates, I contacted Apple support and they recommended I deleted and resubmit the feed.
    I deleted the feed and once it was gone, I resubmitted it.
    It has been two months and we still have not been posted to the itunes page. I have submitted a couple times over the past two months. We are not getting a 'duplicate feed' error -- just no feedback and no posting. I contacted itunes support and pretty much got the "check if your feed is valid" and "check to make sure you didn't get duplicate podcast message" form message, despite my ongoing communications with them.
    I ran our feed through the validator and there are no issues AND this feed worked fine until our intern messed up the RSS code (now fixed).

    I've been searching itunes to see if we are there SOMEWHERE (no avail), but did see something odd -- our first podcast we posted from Nov 2009 shows up when you do a search for our show 'Radio Green Earth' but if you click on it, you get a message about that item not being available in the Itunes store. That is the only episode that appears during a search and our show's podcast w/ photo is not appearing at all.
    Please help us out, we are all getting very frustrated.

    Also, I have even tried a new cable and upgraded to a new USB 2.0 Card.
