Apple Texas Hold 'em glitches in IOS 8

I know this app has been "discontinued" for a while. Sad because it is a good single player version. One of my favorite time wasters. I had played it to the
point where I had won $67 million. Then I upgraded to IOS 8. First I lost all my money and had to restart at the entry level. No problem, but when I won at the
first level, it would not let me continue the game at a higher stakes table even though I had the money. It wouldn't let me play at all. When I exited and restarted the game, my money was gone and I had to start over. So I can only play at the garage level and cannot accumulate winnings and advance to higher stakes tables.
I've looked at other Texas Hold'em games in the App store and I don't find any that play as well as the Apple game and most are full of in-app purchase stuff.
I almost makes me want to go bad to IOS 7.

Texas Holdem - not working since iOS 8?

Hi,
For years I have been a fan of Apple's Texas Hold'em (think it's version 1.1).
The game starts but none of the settings and scores are remembered.
It worked perfectly until I got an iPhone 6 running iOS 8. (iPhone 4/iOS 7.x)
Every time you start the app it's like you've never played it before.
- Has anyone seen this behaviour?
- Any workaround?

I wish I would've known this before I upgraded the OS. I, like everyone here loved to crank up my winnings playing the computer when I had a little downtime. Fun little game that was simple and easy to play. I had 90M and was working towards cracking 100.
Restoring the app wouldn't work since it doesn't respect the settings any longer.
This was Apple's only game. It's too bad they couldn't ensure compatibility going forward.

Can Texas hold be repaired

I had just gotten my Apple version of Texas Hold'em up over a million dollars, when I upgrade to IOS 8 and now even if I win, I can't go beyond Garage, the first screen. Very Frustrating.

I can get past Garage when I win but nothing is being saved when I close the app. That includes settings as well as balance. I was up to $28 million before upgrading and lost it all. Sure hope they will fix this app.

Calendar glitches in iOS 6.0.1

I am getting glitches in iOS 6 on my iPhone 4s when editing appointments in Calendar. Often it will hang when trying to drag and drop to move an appointment. Also I can't delete an appointment, it hangs when I get to the second delete prompt. Ideas?

I have already posted two questions and received to helpful hints to help me, thank you both. Since apple has limited the text editing features available in the iOS Mail App, there must be a third party app the will allow some integration and with the many iOS users and developers on the planet, I respectfully have a difficult time wondering why I have not yet gotten a reply to assist.
If anyone who reads this can assist with the answer, please do and thank you for your help so far.

So, my ipod touch is running 5.1.1 and is slow and sometimes unresponsive. According to Apple it will not update to iOS 6. It is a 32GB, 3rd Generation. I want the new features but it's making me mad. I do not want to jailbreak. HELP?!

IPods are expensive enough, Should I use blobs? Or would that make my device worse. IPod cycles hard reset after Texas Hold'em install

I'll send the message to Apple and call as well tomorrow, but thought I would throw this out there to see if anyone has advice - and also as a cautionary note.
I downloaded Texas Hold'em tonight to install onto my 5G Video iPod. I'm running iTunes 7.0.1 (7) and have the latest updater installed.
After playing the game for about ten minutes, my iPod froze. Not such a big deal, I thought. I performed a hard reset and figured it would take care of itself.
Unfortunately, my iPod now cycles through hard resets on its own every 5 seconds or so. The Apple logo appears on the screen, the hard drive spins up, then the iPod immediately shuts down again and restarts, ad infinitum.
I'll reformat it using iTunes, but you can see the problem here - that requires getting the iPod to successfully restart itself. I went through the iPod diagnostics and everything seems to check out okay. I put it in hard disk mode (something I've never done with this particular iPod). I get a black and white graphic of the lightning bolt (don't know if that's normal or not) but the computer will not find the drive when connected.
Wondering if anyone knows of any third party software that might be able to help get the iPod to mount in external HD mode. I just need to get it mounted somehow so that I can reformat it.

Texas Hold'em Bug

I'm not exactly sure where one goes to report a software bug so I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
When playing Apple's Texas Hold'em (awesome app btw), the winnings when playing two tables are inconsistant. I'm noticing this mostly in Dubai. If I win first place at the first table, you're suppose to carry over $10K to the second table.
However, if you close the game and then go back into it before winning the first table, you only carry over $6K, which is what 2nd place gets. Looking at the table shows that no one has $10K.
I've been able to reproduce this bug fairly consistantly. The bug only shows itself when you close the game and then go back into it.
If this isn't the right place to post this, please point me in the right direction.

Texas Hold 'em...This game cannot be played?

I have an early 2006 30GB Ipod with video and it won't let me play Texas Hold 'em. It says that i cannot play the game and I need to reinstall the game. How do I reinstall the game so I can play it?

I have the same problem with poker, and also with tetris, and pacman!
Have contacted apple, then re-sent me the games to download and still no luck, have restored the ipod several times just to make sure that its clean and that the games will re-install.
Cant get anything to work.
In a way I am glad that someone else has this problem, maybe apple will send out a fix quicker now.

Glitch in ios 5.1

There seems to be a glitch in ios 5.1 while swapping between full screen apps and closing them after that.....

Try this -
1. Run few apps (i use ipad2 ios 5.1)
2. From one of the apps now swipe 4 fingers UP to show app switcher.
3. Now close one or more apps (using touch - hold - x process)
4. Swipe 4 fingers DOWN to close app switcher.
5. Swipe 4 fingers Left/Right to choose among active apps.
Result = The apps u colsed recently in step 3. still show in the full screen app switcher....not a big problem i guess but still a glitch....

IPod game Texas Hold'em character name change

I purchased Texas Hold'em for my iPod nano and everything works great, but I can't find out how to change the name of my character in the game. All I've got now is a player called "A." Any help would be appreciated.

Texas Hold Em No Sound

Since installing the latest update for Texas Hold Em i've been getting no sound on the game. I've checked all my settings and i've tried deleting the app from my phone and resyncing through iTunes but I've had no luck. I'm running 2.1 on a 3G iphone. Any similar experiences/ideas on how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated as I like the soundon that game.

Finally! Glad to find someone having the same issue. Ok, so here is what I know. I have spent a LOT of time on the phone with Apple, and bottom line is every rep blames my phone. I keep telling them everything was fine until the one and only update. Prior to the update, the side volume buttons controlled the game volume. Now they control the ringer volume. In addition, sounds in the game are very inconsistent. Chip sounds are not always the same among other things. The effects volume inside the game will only go up as far as the "application volume" is set at. By that I mean there is another volume control in the iPhone that you can't control in the game. The 3 different types of volume I'm aware of in the phone itself would be ringer, speaker, and ear piece. The side buttons control the ringer in standby mode, and control speaker and ear piece only while the corresponding one is being used. In other apps, the side buttons still control that apps volume. And I stand my ground that by controlling the volume another app, it is controlling either the speaker or ear piece volume (my guess is speaker) across the board. Meaning I have gotten around the Holdem sound issue by going into other application first to make sure the volume is up all the way. Then I can go into Holdem and have the volume at the same level. If I go into another app and trun the volume down to 50%, and then go into Holdem, my max volume in Holdem will still be the same 50% level set from the previous app, even though it shows the volume is all the way up in Holdem. I have tried explaining that to several iPhone Level 2 retards, and can't get through to anyone! They all say to reset everything, buy a new computer, because it CAN'T be the application. Incidentally, these Level 2 techs aren't even aware that Apple created this application. They kept making reference to a third party app and they have no way to duplicate the problem on their test phones. I kept telling them it was THEIR app and they should be supporting it. But I digress......

Texas Hold'em suddenly disappear!

I don't know if its just me but why is it that almost all my apps are not functioning as i expected? especially this Texas Hold'em, everytime i open the app it will suddenly goes back to home. i tried deleting it on my ihpone and itunes library but still the problem persist. i even reset my iphone 3G but it did not solve the problem. This also happens to my other apps like moto chaser and ifish. Adrenaline Poker is the only apps that is not affected by this problem and seems working properly so far. Who could anyone explain this to me? This problem is driving me nuts

You might need to reset and or restore the iphone to resolve any software issues.

They do.
Standby = press the Power button
Power off = Press and hold Power button then slide the red power off slider.
Reset = Press and hold both Reset adn Home till you see the Apple logo.
