Apple TV 2 & iTunes Match.

I'm beyond frustrated. One of the big reasons I got iTunes Match is so I could stream my music collection to my TV without keeping my Mac open.
But anytime I go to play it will play the song fine for about 30ish seconds and then I'll get a error saying it had trouble loading the content.
It's not my internet. I can stream from Spotify, Play Online Games. It's just iTunes Match on my Apple TV.

iTunes Match is associated with one, and only one, iTunes Store account. To use iTM on multiple devices all those devices must be signed into the mobile iTunes Store with the same AppleID.

Realised that rather than adding my icloud apple id to Itunes match, I have added my original ID which I use for purchases. You can change your apple id at appleid.apple.com to a different, non-apple id email.
But for what your after, this wont help. You can't transfer purchases from one apple id to another. You may just have to purchase it again on the right id. You could try for a refund at expresslane.apple.com but doubt you'll get it.

Using multiple Apple ids for iTunes match

I have one Apple id that I use for downloading music and apps on both iTunes and my ios devices, as well as itunes match. I have another that I use for for icloud. My iTunes match subscription is due to expire and I want to use my icloud apple id as my new iTunes Match apple id. If I made purchases with the prior apple id, and used that id for iTunes Match, and now want to change the iTunes Match apple id to my icloud apple id, will iTunes Match sync my music with the new apple id even though the purchases were made on the older id? Or do I have to use the same apple id for iTunes Match that I used to purchase the music in my iTunes library?

iTunes Match can not be transferred to another Apple ID. It is a associated with the iTunes Store account ID you used to purchase it. You can, however, change your Apple ID: http://support.apple.com/kb/HE40

Apple id and itunes match

My wife and I just purchased a MacBook Pro retina and we are trying to do the iTunes match. Unfortunate I'll be were getting an error that says "this computer is already associated with an Apple ID you cannot download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days". Wondering if there's a way around this. Thank you.

Looking for a way to search artists in Apple TV from iTunes Match similar to searching for a movie in Netflix.

I'm not sure I understand. You access iTunes Match via the music section, there are different categories and you select artist to search through the artists in your music library.

ITunes Apple ID and iCloud Apple ID and iTunes Match

I have a family Apple ID associated with my iMac and iPad for iTunes and Apps. I have two new iPhone 5s. Each iPhone has been setup to have a separate Apple ID for email (iCloud) and to use the family Apple ID for iTunes and Apps. Can I initiate iTunes Match from my iMac and use iTunes Match on all devices especially since the iPhones have two Apple IDs "loaded" ?

If you are using the same ID for Itunes purchases, APPs and Itunes match, you should be OK. Separate ID can be use for iCloud which is not the same as iMatch.

Hello, I apologise if this has been addressed but I couldn't find the exact answer I am looking for!!
My wife and me share a home computer (macMini) and we both have iphone 5's & ipads and have seperate Apple ID's. I subscribed to itunes Match and have access to my itunes Library across all my devices via the cloud which is great. My wife is able to access my itunes Library from her Home Screen and/or her Macbook which is great but she wants to access my entire iTunes Library on her iPhone like I do.
Does she 1) also need to subscribe to iTunes Match and if so 2) I know she will then have access to "her" itunes Library which is largely empty but will she be able to access our very larger Library like I do? That is the crucial question, we both need to be able to access that Library from any device ????

Easiest route is to use a single Apple Id and Password for all iTunes Match access - you can load your partners Songs into your iTunes library, select a Song and authorise playback with your partners Apple Id and Password, this will allow iTunes Match to upload all Songs to the cloud.
On each IOS device both use your Apple Id and Password to access all music.

Thanks for the posting. sorry, know my question was not really specific. It was on my iPad 3. What happened was my dad logged into my iPad with his login / PW to access his iTunes account by accident (we have same iPad and case) When I logged back into my account...it killed my iTunes Match and would not allow me to log in and use it on the iPad.
I fixed it by doing a complete wipe of iPad to factory and then restored my backup. It works great now. Lesson learned is not to use a separate login and password on a device as I can understand why it may be set up this way so paid apps can't be shared...which was not the case at this end and support.

Apple should make iTunes Match management better.

When you play a song on your phone via iTunes Match, the audio file still on the phone, so it can be played offline on the go. The problem is, the cloud button still appearing and theres no way to delete those songs in order to set free space.
I created a smart playlist to view the local songs and it worked... i have more than 100 offline songs, they still appear as not downloaded... so if i click download the song will be duplicated.
How can i delete the songs without restoring the phone and start all over again and again...?

Turn match off, then back on to clear those (Settings app > Music). You are better off downloading tracks rather than simply streaming to prevent that.

Why has Apple killed off iTunes Match on OS X 10.5.8

Take a look at the enclosed screenshot.
As you can see, 25 days ago I was happily enjoying my 6,000+ tracks in iTunes Match. When I configured this some time ago, the minimum iTunes Match requirements stated online by Apple were PowerBook G4, 1 GHz, iTunes 10.6.3, and OS X 10.5.8.
Sometime in the last several weeks, Apple has broken this, either by design or by accident. I also see that now they have revised the online requirements page to now call for OS X 10.6.8. I have spent days trying to troubleshoot this. From what I have tested, iTunes Match can review local music, send it to ITM, carry out the ITM processing, and then indicates it is downloading the tracks list to the PowerBook. Thing is, all of the 6,000+ tracks in my ITM library have vanished. (They're still out there, because i can access them through iOS.)
What kind of a way to run a railroad is this? Sneak in changes and see if any one squeals? This is really frustrating.

In gMail Webmail you must check prefs to allow IMAP insteaad of POP.
Gmail send but not receive...
Here are two steps that have come in handy in related situations
1) login to gmail on your computer or device via a web browser
2) once logged in successfully, go to this URL to unlock:
https://www.google.com/accounts/DisplayUnlockCaptch
The Password rejection can confuse people since it's a catch all meaning...
This Password, Username, Authentication method... is not recognized on this Port to this Server, or a server end problem.
Or duplicate entries in Keychain Access.
If using a browser to login via WebMail works it's not Name or Password, but one of the other ones.
The receiving email ports are:
IMAP is port 143
IMAP-SSL is port 993
POP is port 110
POP-SSL is port 995
Outgoing ports are...
SMTP and SMTP-SSL is on ports 25, 587 and 465. Port 587 has to be SSL, and port 465 is enforced TLS-wrapped and is generally used by Outlook users.

How can i use my music, even if is not in the apple store, with itunes match?

i want to listen Ac/Dc on my iphone. i loaded my music, i use itunes match, and on the cloud, it doesn't load my library, as i want. because, doesn't correspond to the store. so, i have to switch off my itunes match, to listen the album Back in Black....
so, which is the sense, to block people to their music? just because is not in the store?

Apple TV and iTunes match

Hi,
One of my Fist Generation Apple TVs has just died on me. Won't start anymore and has a flashing orange light. I will give it a proper send off, but first things first I need a replacement.
I am aware of iTunes Match and that it streams the music from the cloud. What I would like to know is whether t streams the TV program's that I have bought from iTunes? If it does it finally makes sense for me to upgrade to the new one, if not it's back to eBay to find a new old Apple TV :)

No you won't need the PC on, but could still stream from there if you want to.
To view near instantly you need 2.5 Mbps for SD and 6 Mbps for 720p HD, 8 Mbps for 1080p HD. Any slower and it'll buffer like renting on an AppleTV1.

Yes, import both sets of Songs to a single library, authorise to play with both Apple Ids and Update iTunes Match!
Provided the library is authorised for play back you can play with iTunes Match successfully.
