Apple TV (2G) and Music Videos?

Anyone able to confirm if Music Videos show up/work on the Apple TV?
Almost all of my purchases have been music videos - I figured they'd support them.. why not? But looking at all the screenshots, there is no "Music Video" category to be found.

the "Music Video" section is within the "music" section in "computers".

How can you create a playlist on Ipod touch with music and music video, and play those from same playlist through Apple TV? I can download, create a playlist with both music and music video, stream that through the Apple TV with no problem. The sound and the information show up on the TV, but when it gets to a music video, it only shows the information and "artwork".
I also have a video playlist - videos play fine through the Apple TV, but will not shuffle through all videos - continues to repeat the same one. I have most definitely selected shuffle in both locations - from the playlist and on the ipod video screen while video is playing.

I finally got it... had to sync the photos with the music in iMovie, arrange the voiceover in GarageBand then export to iTunes, and then I was able to put it all together in iMovie and burn in iDVD... had a few glitches along the way but finally finished : )

I have switched to a new iPad and transferred all the needed aps, included some high-priced ones for my business. The only thing I can't do is get my music and music videos to move. I originally tried to backup the old unit and restore to the new unit and this was successful for a lot of the aps, it didn't work for the music. It also messed up several aps that I had already initialized on the new unit and I had to go through the whole process again. How can I move my music without damaging other aps?

The contents of the Music and Videos apps aren't included in a device's backup. If you don't have them on your computer's iTunes library then if they are iTunes purchases then you should be able to copy them back from your old iPad via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases and you can then sync them to your new iPad. If some/all of them are not iTunes purchases and you don't have them on your computer nor on your backup of your library then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

You cannot merge two Apple IDs. You cannot share purchases with other Apple IDs although there is a temporary form of sharing.

My movies and music videos won't show up on my computer screen, I can hear the sound but not see the video how do I fix this? I'm not sure what to do as far as turning my purchased movie into DVD goes either. I just want to put the movie onto a DVD disc but my itunes won't even show that I have a blank disc in the drive, I'm not sure what is wrong or how to fix this, any help at all would be much appreciated.

I grasp that you uninstalled the Intel graphic driver and the catalyst control. You reinstalled the Intel driver and now you can view and hear videos on the Internet but you are unable to set the resolution as high as previously.
When I checked the specifications for your notebook I see that you have switchable graphics.
Here are two links that I believe will help.

Please try this process.
1. Download the chipset driver, and both graphic drivers and save them but do not install them yet
2, Delete the chipset driver and install the updated one.
3. restart your notebook
4.Delete the Intel driver and install the updated one
5. restart your notebook
6. Delete the AMD driver and install the updated driver.
You should now have a Catalyst Control Center.
This should now allow you to use the higher graphic card which should support the higher resolution.

Synching music and music videos

I know it is possible to synch the iPhone with two different computers if you designate different types of information to be synched with each. The question is, can you synch music files with one computer and music videos with another? I ask because it looks like iTunes is setup to treat music and music videos as one type of information source.

No. The only types of info that can be synced with multiple computers are contacts, calendar events, and bookmarks. iTunes media (music, videos, apps, ringtones, as well as photos, although those are not really iTunes media) can only be synced with one computer

Automatically switching between Visualization and Music Video modes

While playing back a mixture of both music (mp3s) and music videos is it possible to automatically have the video output switch between the visualizer for mp3s and the music videos themselves?
Any help would be appreciated.

I see about 30-80 MB memory usage increase while switching to fullscreen and it is falling back while switching back to normal mode.
I think the "freeing" of the memory is to agressive and produces such "lags."
@Adobe: This should be optimized with the next versions.

With the Plash Player plugin (Firefox Nightly/Opera Next) it is worse and with Active-X (IE9) it seems to be ok.

When connecting ipad to itunes, in the Summary tab (in itunes for your device), look in the Backups section and choose to back up to itunes.

Itunes 8 has trashed my music and music videos

I now get messages saying that itunes cannot find the original files for some of my music and anything but very recent music videos. surprise surprise it all worked in the previous version perfectly .....

Ringtones and Music Videos bought no showing in the Purchased List

Recently I bought a Music Video and some Ringtones, but I had to restore my iPhone and by doing that I lost it for some reason. Initially I wasnt worried since I can enter my purchased list at iTunes Store and download it again... BUT for some reason, these specific ones are not listed there.
Do you guys know what should I do?

What you can re-download depends upon what country that you are in, and whether the items remain available in the store - but ringtones (and audiobooks) are currently a one-time only download, and can't be re-downloaded anywhere.

Apple TV freezes playing music videos

I have 2 Apple TV's and both freeze while streaming music videos. I have a Netgear N600 wireless dual band gig router, which happens to be in the same room as one of the Apple TV's. I have restarted both, checked our wireless connection and completely powered down everything. Does anyone have any other suggestions? It only seems to happen while playing music videos. Thanks.

Movie Rentals and Music Videos Download in Italy

I don't have a bank account nor a Credit card based in the US or UK... that is why there's no way to set my iTunes account as US or UK and being able to rent movies or download Music Videos from iTunes...

Make certain the time and date are correct on your PC.
Click Start and then click Control Panel.
Click "Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options" and then click Date and Time.
Click the Date & Time tab.
Make sure that the date and time settings are configured to use the current date and time and then click OK.
Make sure you are running the latest version of iTunes. http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Check the Firewall.
From the Start menu, choose Control Panel.
If the Control Panel is in Classic View, skip to step 4.
On Windows 7 and Vista, click Security; on Windows XP, click Security Center.
Click Windows Firewall.
On Windows 7 and Vista, click Change Settings; if asked for permission by Windows, click Continue; make sure the “Block all incoming connections” option is *not selected.*
Click the Exceptions tab.
Check the iTunes box.
Click OK.
You can report problems to Apple via the iTunes store. Launch iTunes. Select iTunes Store on the left. On the right side of that window select your account name. In the next window click: Purchase History then click: Report a Problem.

Coverflow and music videos

Hi, I like to use coverflow on those occasions I use my macbook pro as a jukebox. Connect it to the stereo and it is fun to have the art in the background.
What I would REALLY like to do, however, is have the tracks that are music videos play as music videos (rather than a static picture or something else) whenever they come up in the playlist.
Anyone know a way to do that?
If not, then I suppose this is a feature request.

That's strange, because when I just tried this on my Mac, the video in my playlist played as a video...in Cover Flow. Not sure why it's not working for you. Is there any other information you can provide that might lead to the root of the problem? I am using iTunes 7.6, so if you're using iTunes 8, it could have changed, though I don't know why Apple would take away that functionality.
