Apple TV 3 - Wont load library (spins)

I have an Apple TV 3 as well as some Apple TV 2's on my network. My Apple TV 3 is on my living room TV hooked up through an AV receiver that accepts multiple hdmi inputs. I have a separate mac running iTunes in my audio closet. Whenever I switch to watching directv after watching a movie and then switch back, I just get 'Loading xxxx's library' after selecting computers, etc. and it just spins. If I go restart iTunes on the machine in the audio closet it then works fine. This problem doesn't happen with my Apple TV 2's. Just the 3. Any ideas on why it would be doing this?

Could well be a wireless issue.
Anyh competing wireless networks? Try changing the wireless signal channel, it can make a huge difference.
If using 5GHz band swap to 2.GHz or vice versa.

Apple TV "Loading" library spins forever

I have a 2nd gen Apple TV, with newly upgraded iTunes on my Mac Book Pro. Playing movies/music from my library has been pretty good up until today, when I tried to access it again. It was spinning forever on Loading... I pulled up my iTunes on my mac, and decided to Push the movie from my Mac to Apple TV which worked just fine. After the movie finished, I tried to access the library again, and Apple TV sat on the Loading Spinner again. I had to restart iTunes and Apple TV to get it to work.
This is very irritating that I have to manually reboot things to get it to work. It feels like Im back in the Windows world again where everything has to be rebooted to get fixed. Is Apple looking to fix this issue with a release soon?

Most of us do not have this problem and can connect to our libraries on demand, it would therefor seem reasonable to assume that the issue lies somewhere other than iTunes or the Apple TV, my first thought is network issues, have you done anything to ensure it's not your network.

3G shows apple logo but wont load FW

It just keeps showing the apple logo. i cant plug it into a PC or a Mac (with firewire). ive tried rebooting it, loading forced disk mode, and loading diagnoistic mode, but it wont get past the apple phase. the warranty is up so i cant go in and get a new one or have them look at it.

My ipod - 5th generation color screen - recently completely stopped working, no matter what self help i tried.
i sent it away to apple to be repaired [ it's still under warranty] it came back with the all clear - they had installed firmware on it - thats all they did. it now "works" ie. doesn't freeze and the battery life is ok. however, when i try to synch my 2,500 songs from my i-tunes library back on to the ipod it gets stuck at track 315 and won't go any further.
my pc also slows down dramatically and the coloured wheel ie. "it's thinking" stays on the screen for ages and ages until i lose patience and end up having to "force quit".
any ideas or suggestions?

I am not too sure, you can use the repair permission on the disk utility.
If you cant find them, try to move 20 songs each time to a special playlist to update with your iPod. You will have them with error message during the update

Reinstall OS X, either from disc or a recovery partition. You don't mention which version of OS X you're running so I don't know which it will be.

Apple TV won't load or play movies from my MBP library (through both airplay and homesharing), but will from my mac mini. Help!

I have been using my apple TV seamlessly with all my apple products (Mac Mini, iphone, MBP, ipad). Everything worked perfectly until recently (I noticed the issue about 3 weeks ago), when the apple TV won't load and play any movies from my iTunes library located on my MBP. The Library loads, and I can see everything, but as soon as I press play, the spinning load icon appears and doesn't stop. Same when I play movie from itunes directly and send it via airplay. Desktop mirroring no problem.
I have checked, and films are being played perfectly from my other devices, as does airplay and mirroring

For Apple TV to access your library while the host computer is asleep, "Wake for network access" must be turned on.
Open System Preferences > Energy Saver and select (enable) the "Wake for network access" option.
In addition, the network that the host computer and the Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) is connected to must support Wake on Demand feature. This works by partnering with a service running on your AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule called Bonjour Sleep Proxy.

That's why you see this:
When I try to do the updates my computer says it has ready it goes through like it is downloading them then at the end it says some of the files could not be saved to "/" files.
After your restart your Mac, click the Apple  menu (top left in your screen) then click: Software Update ...

i dont know what i photo i have. i am using my girlfriends old ibook g4. when i try to open iphoto the progam starts but the library wont load. it tries but nothing happens. she says it hasnt worked in a year. i tried downloading a new version of iphoto but when i try to install it i get this message

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
iPhoto_606 cannot be installed on this computer.
That means that iPhoto 6 is not installed on the computer. You can't run the version 6 updater, because you would have to upgrade first. Upgrading requires a purchase.
To see what version is installed, select iPhoto inside the Applications folder and do File > Get Info (or type Command-i). The info box will state the version number, and you don't have to launch the application to get this information.
While you're in the Finder (with iPhoto closed) navigate to Macintosh HD/ Users/ (your user name)/ Library/ Preferences/ com.apple.iPhoto.plist and move that file to the Trash. See if iPhoto will launch and load the library then.
If not, report back with the version number and we can go from there.

In trying to include what information all that I could I should have specified I DON'T KNOW THAT IT WAS DEFINATELY JAILBROKEN when I took it to the apple store they told me there's no way for them to tell if it was jail broken or not. I'm only going by what ppl have told me COULD HAVE BEEN DONE TO THE PHONE. With that said the only thing I know for sure is that the apple tech at the Genius Bar told me that someone took control of my root menu in February & I've had no control of my phone since. I asked him how to regain control & how he knew his exact words were "oh that is out of our scope of capabilities here at this level & you would need an apple engineer to fix it". I said ok then how do I get an apple eng then? He laughed & said you can't!!!! To which I was furious I came home & called apple requesting to speak w/the fraud dept to file a report they said we don't have a fraud dept!! So after a 45 mn phone call again I left w/no answers.

I was looking more for a TECHNICAL way to avoid this happening w/a new phone should I buy one or trying to get them out of my phone now! Such as installing some kind of software protection?? Try:
- Another cable
- Another USB port
- Reboot the computer
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

After updating iTunes to 11.0.1.12 and updating Apple TV to 5.1.1 my Apple TV is no longer picking up my photo library. It just keeps saying "loading library" but never brings the pictures up. This didn't happen with previous versions. Any ideas?

Update on my previous comment. I have solved my issue. Issue was with Windows 7 firewall not operating correctly. I was unable to add itunes to the 'Allow programs to communicate through windows firewall'. Followed the instructions to the foot of the page, restarted PC, normal service resumed on windows firewall, added itunes to list to communicate through firewall. restarted itunes, restarted appletv, success!!!

Iphoto wont open - library not loaded

I recently had an issue where both Aperture and iphoto couldn't load, the message said "iphoto cannot be opened because of a problem" and then I got the error message below. It didn't even load the app, but bounce it once and then post the error message
Had a poke around, but cant for the life of me figure out why it cant see the Library. I have repaired permissions and tried others, but still not working.
Am i missing something really simple?

Try re-install iPhoto
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.
If that doesn't help you need to reinstall the OS
