Apple TV all of sudden displaying only black and white

My previously normally working Apple TV is now displaying only in black and white. The TV with any other source is in color. I haven't touched any of the cables or connections, and to be safe, I double checked them all. I did a 'factory reset' and it's still in black and white. Should I presume hardware malfunction? Any other ideas.

Reader displays only black-and-white (grayscale)

A customer of ours is telling me that my Illustrator-CS2-created PDF's appear to her in grayscale-only. Those same PDF's show their proper colors just dandy on everybody else's computer I've tried, so obviously it's something on her end.
Sorry, but I don't know what version of Reader she's using, and it will be useless attempting to ask her.
I can't find any setting in Preferences in my copy of Reader 9 to "view as grayscale". What could be the problem?

I think I see what you are saying now:
You have the tv connected to a tv by the yellow lead of a composite connection set. You have it working in B&W. You did get colour for a short time, but now it's gone back to B&W. You want the colour back.
If this is correct it's not going to work, you may get B&W if you connect it to the right component port, you may even get flashes of colour (which you seem to have done), but this isn't an indication that it will work, it's not going to get any better than that.

PDFs are displaying in black and white in Preview

My InDesign PDF's are suddenly displaying in black and white in Apple Preview. Is anyone else having this problem?

I did solve the problem and it only occured on one document in which I changed the automatic bullet point color. I usually make my own bullet points, so this was a first for me.
Here is how I solved the problem:
When exporting the PDF, I chose the "Output" option and changed the "Color" to "Convert to Destination (Preserve Numbers)". I then selected "Color Match RGB".
This worked for the problem document and it didn't happen again on other documents.

Triple click the home button to switch of the greyscale feature.
Turn Greyscale on or off. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Gtreyscale. Or, use the Accessibility Shortcut. See Accessibility Shortcut on page 139.

When I check print Grey Scale box it uses the other colours to create the black instead of using the black toner cartridge. doing this from a PC works fine but not of a Mac and I am a newbie at this can you help as I don't want to waste any more colour ink unnecessarily.

Follow the steps below to print using Black Ink only:
1. From the application used to print, click the File menu and select Print. The Print window appears.
NOTE: The Print window might be minimized: Click the Show Details button to see all available settings.
2. To access the color options, click the lowest selection box listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.
3. Select Paper Type/Quality from the drop-down menu.
4. Click the triangle next to Color Options to expend the settings.
5. Set the Color field as Grayscale.
6. Set the Grayscale Mode as Black Ink Cartridge Only.
You may save the settings for future use by clicking Presets > Save Current Settings as Preset...
Any used preset will remain default so simply select teh standard preset to print in color.

2400MP display in black and white

Can someone help me out, Just last week my project only displays in black and white. I have gone through evey setting I can find but don't know what the issue is.

Googled this and found lots of information about PAL settings in an NTSC world; none of that applicable (but here for anyone's future reference).
Dug into my box of goodies and found a new s-video cable, just to try that - instant fix (at least for now). Old cable shows no sign of damage, so who knows why this works.

Color LaserJet 2605dn Printing only Black and white

I have a Color Laserjet 2605dn and all of the color ink cartridges have run dry. However the Black cartridge has over 2,000 pages of ink in it and the printer will not let me prink only Black and White. It seems the color cartridges must also have ink in them in order for the printer to print. Does anyone know a work around so that I can print with the Black Cartridge and not purchase the color cartridges?

Apple tv in only black and white

I just got an Apple TV, and I can't get it to show color; it is only in black and white. I have tried putting the red yellow and white cables in everywhere that they would really connect..anyone else have and fix this problem by any chance?

yes but
component cables are normaly 1 cable with 3 connectors in each end
rather then 3 cables
hdmi is 1 cable with everything
it all comes down to what your tv support
if it dont have component or hdmi you will never
get it in colour unless you buy a converter
hdmi is the best image quality

Open the Universal Access pane of System Preferences, click on the Seeing tab, turn off White on Black, and drag the Contrast slider all the way to the left.

Artwork only displays in black and white when adding to a song

Artwork when importing JPG only shows in black and white. Old artwork is OK in colour previously imported. Note these are for non-ITunes store purchased.

You might want to set WMP options before you let it loose on your itunes content.
It doesn't matter if you never use WMP - its default settings allow webpages to open WMP in the background without you even knowing, and get info from the internet.
You need to turn this auto-update "feature" off in WMP in 4 places.
Player tab: everything unchecked so WMP won't touch your files
Library tab: everything unchecked, esp the box to retrieve info from the internet
Privacy tab: everything unchecked, esp the box to update files
Security tab: everything unchecked so web pages can't launch WMP in the background
You also need to check these 4 settings after every windows update that includes a WMP update, because it has reset them back to some of the defaults, I have noticed.

Printer prints only black and white images from MacBook Air

I tried printing the same file with the PC and it prints ok. Whenever I print with our MacBook Air, it only prints black and white and yes it has a driver automatically installed and updated.

Only black and white

I have plugged in my Apple TV using a yellow video cable into a non-HD tv. It only comes out as black and white. However for about 10 secs, before we tried to replug in the HDMI lead, it turned into colour. So it does work.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this back to colour?
