Apple TV and iTunes streaming at the same time

I hope someone can help me figure out my issue. I just got my Apple TV not too long ago and whenever I play or watch something on my TV, my iTunes on my laptop would all of a sudden play a movie without me controlling it. The weird thing is that it's not the same movie that I am watching on Apple TV. I don't know what could be the issue. Anyone?

Are you using a MBP? Cause they have IR sensors on the front that respond quite well to the apple tvs remote. Try this go to settings, secruity and privacy, then click on advanced. This may be in a different location on 10.6.8 but I experienced a similar issue when I got my first mac.

yes - the built-in music app allows to select one speaker only at the same time.
now i've found the WHAALE Multiroom Player App (http://www.whaale.com) - and it sends directly from the iOS Device to my 6 AirPlay speakers. One of them is an Apple TV...
all "in sync" and without any special hardware and additional software.
And i am able to stream different songs to different rooms...
Just AirPlay speakers - wifi router - WHAALE -> that's easy :-)

Audioscrobbler and iTunes Visualizer (at the same time)?

I'm using the audioscrobbler plugin from http://www.last.fm which sents the tracks that I listened to a website and generates my personal charts. However it seems that i can only use either the audioscrobbler plugin OR the iTunes visualizer, but not both at the same time. Does somebody has experienced the same thing and knows how to solve that? Thx!

it works now, the solution was to only select the visualization plugin. i don't know why that didn't work from the beginning.

You do what the screen is telling you. Connect the iPod to your computer and restore the iPod via iTunes.

Sure, as long as your printer is compatible. (You won't really know if that's the case unless you try).

Did 11.1 restore the iTunes 10 feature of opening two iTunes windows at the same time?

I use an iPod Classic and I like rating my songs. When I get home from a trip, I will open two iTunes windows and play with the iPod music and iTunes music at the same time. I cannot upgrade to iTunes 11 because this feature was (stupidly) missing. Did 11.1 bring this functionality back?

Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything... and you must continue with the Recovery...

After the Apple logo appears, what happens then? Can you hear any sounds or if you tap on the screen, does it seem like apps can open or are you just seeing a black screen? You might have a hardware problem, but you can try restoring the software and see what happens.
Read this in its entirety before you do anything. Make sure you read the sections at the end about using recovery mode.

Hello skdog I possibly think your ipod touch is black because it has not charged. If your dock is broken it might just mean the dock will be broken and so might be the USB port. You should see an Apple shop nearby and hand it over and see what they can do. I hope this information works!

Is the iPad charged? Plug it in with the charger/wall outlet for half an hour and try again to reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears.

It's not entirely impossible actually as someone has pointed out to me that I can turn on Call Forwarding and that stops any incoming calls. I've just forwarded it to my google voice number and then turned on "do not disturb" in google voice and whenever I get a call it goes straight to my google voice voicemail and my phone does nothing. The only thing now is I still get text messages but I think the phone calls bugged me more because they would make my music turn off for much longer.
Even though this isn't a perfect solution it's something so far so maybe you shouldn't just come out and say there's NOTHING I can do because so far I've found part of a solution. If you don't have anyting productive to say then just don't reply and close the tab. Thanks.

RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary.
