Apple TV and NBA League Pass

As of January 23, 2012 does this work in the USA? I can not find any information on the NBA LPB and Apple TV. The only information I can find are from last year and how it does not work worth a hoot. Can anyone confirm that if I were to buy a new ATV today if I could be watching NBA games tonight (given I have the correct subscription with the NBA, etc) or if it would just be a hassle that may not work and if it does, constantly "buffer".

It works, and you can do it, but if you have any other option, I would not recommend it. I feel foolish ditching our satellite and buying an ATV solely to watch NBA LP. It's 15 seconds of game time, then 60 seconds of buffering. It's not my connection because it streams fine on my laptop.
I feel like a guinea pig that paid for the experience just so Apple can disappoint me, and so the NBA can slowly kill my enthusiasm for the game.

Last weekend i registered on NBA PASS or NBA GAMETIME and on the NBA video site it had the Kings game on the Sunday free to BT Sports customers, so if you register on this site first and look out for the information for games ahead on the games screen it will come up with a game.
When you sign up, once you see it says bt game this week, it will give option to find out more click on it, and then subscribe to that match and follow whatever it tell's you from that, i didin't actually use the free game as i am already on NBA pass but i just seen it on the site, so i'm assuming this is how it's done .

My apple tv will not authenticate my nba league pass login--I am in the United States and the same login/pw works for my iPad, but not for apple tv.

I have this same issue and am becoming quite upset. NBA has absolutely no contact information to call and resolve this issue. I just spent $139.99 and cannot connect to Apple TV, while the same login works just fine on my iMac and iPad. You will need both License Keys the Lightroom 4 upgrade key and the Lightroom 3 key. You can download the latest LR 4.4.1 from the site below. Just make sure you get the appropriate one for your operating system.

First used of my Apple TV was good mainly using nba league pass fully subscribed. More than a month gone by it stopped the access. My tv screen shows hdmi isn't compatible to hdcp. What's my option to get back?

Make sure HDMI cable hasn't come loose. Try a different port and cable. Reboot and/or reset the unit.

NBA League Pass on Apple TV

I am trying to activate NBA League Pass on my Apple TV. It asks you to type in your Access ID and Password. I miss-typed my Access ID (which is my email) and it will not let me go back and change it. It only will allow me to enter in a password. Any ideas? I cannot see anywhere to reset it. Thank you!

My experience is the same as BlaStar's. From the moment I bought my AppleTV in September up until two days ago, I could watch summer league and preseason game highlights by selecting the NBA icon in Apple TV and then selecting Game Highlights, Now, when I select Game Highlights, I get a message reading, "NBA is unavailable. Try again later."
(@ Brian Cook4: The icon is there and the other selections (standings, etc.) go where they're supposed to. It's just game highlights that has stopped working.)
I have a ticket open with NBA League Pass. They tried to close it with a canned reply about how League Pass doesn't include preseason games. I reopened it by observing that the reply was nonresponsive to the question - which is about the now-disappeared ability to watch game highlights, not the never-present ability to watch preseason games.

I currently have a 1st gen. Apple TV (the white box) and I'm really happy with it. I was thinking of upgrading to the latest version of ATV only because I noticed that I can watch NBA games (if I have a subscription at the NBA League Pass service). I do however have some questions:
1) I leave in Greece. Will I be able to watch NBA on the new ATV or is the service restricted to us located users only?
2) Could I upgrade my current ATV's OS in order to be able and stream NBA content (asuming that I have a possitive answer from q1 above) and so save money from upgrading to the new ATV?

Unlikely. Not all apps are available in all regions.
More likely it would still require using the app on the device and then using AirPlay mirroring sending the video to the ATV.

Can't watch NBA League Pass on WiFi

I am experiencing the following with NBA League Pass:
1) On TV: I can watch all teams.
2) On my iPad and iPhone with AT&T cellular data: I can watch all teams. But this is too expensive, as one game will eat up 3 Gigs of data.
3) On my computer, iPad, and iPhone with WiFi from Time Warner cable Internet: I can't watch my favorite team. I can watch all of the 29 other teams, but not the only team I care about. And that one team is 2,000 miles from where I live, and so it is not my local team and therefore it should not be blacked out -- but it is for all live and archived games.
4) A Time Warner technician came to my home today and found that if I hook up my computer and Time Warner router directly to Ethernet, I can watch my favorite team on my computer. But this is not a solution, because then I don't have WiFi at all for anything. The technician said the problem is with my Apple Airport Express WiFi device because it is somehow blocking my favorite team and he suggested calling Apple, but my Airport Express is just now out of warranty. He also said I could purchase a new Airport Express.
I work late and many times there is another team that plays on my team's channel for a later game, and so I need to be able to watch archived games on my computer or iPad with WiFi. I know that games are not available for two hours after they are played, but for me all of my team's archived games are blocked for the entire season when I try to use WiFi.
NBA League Pass said the problem is with Time Warner and claimed that the proof of that is that I can watch NBA League Pass games on my iPad and iPhone using AT&T cellular data -- and so that narrowed down the problem to WiFi from Time Warner cable Internet. I can toggle back and forth from cellular data and see the game, and then to WiFi but the same game is blacked out. I am not using a VPN that masks my location, but NBA League Pass said there is something about my WiFi that is misreporting my location. I tried using NBA League Pass' tool that checks my IP address location, and it shows that it is local to my area as it should. NBA League Pass said that when someone moves there is often a problem, and I did move six weeks ago 30 miles to a new Time Warner zone.
This is frustrating because I spent $189 for NBA League Pass to watch my favorite team but can't watch many of its games. I am also concerned that next season the same problem will occur and I won't be able to watch my favorite team on WiFi.
I am getting 33 Mbps speeds on my computer and about 27 Mbps on my Ipad with WiFi, so the speed is okay.
I am seeking help from anyone who knows how to fix this problem with watching NBA League Pass on WiFi. Should I buy another AirPort Express (I just bought one three months ago)? Should I dump Time Warner and go to Verizon FIOS? Or is there a setting I can change that would solve this problem? Thank you in advance.

Do I have to wait for the NBA season to start before I can access NBA League Pass. I purchased the $169 broadband All Access from NBA Game Time through my Apple TV. When I try to log
in I get a invalid user name or password prompt even though I can access All Access through both my IPhone and on my MacBook

Hello people, I realized NBA League Pass, i use the free preview, is until january 8. And when i put the passcode and e-mail, i get this: Auth login Failed. Status (object object). i need someone to help me because i do not want to risk buying a package without first it work. I know in my ipod works just fine, please i need answer, because i bought the Apple Tv especially fot that. thanks

So im trying to watch the nba league pass on my apple tv and it seems to be buggy. 1st off why is it when I try to switch between games that it starts back at the beginning of the game. Why doesnt it either pick back up where I left off or back to live action. 2nd, how come there isnt a option to view more then one game at a time like it is on the computer? 3rd, maybe this is a nba decision but why is some games audio only? Who the **** wants to listen to a game when you can watch it. I dont want to hear about Kobe or Lebron scoring 30 points, I want to see him do it!!! 3rd how come there isnt a option to view more then one game at a time.

NBA blackout rules may be the problem or at least I consider them a major problem. The rules apply to all versions: Apple TV, computer version, and mobile for iOS devices. The NBA should make this much clearer!
This appears to be the case: they will demand your location and use it to blackout any games that are being televised locally including cable (espn, tnt, etc.). This pretty much does away with the possible use to "cable cut".
I'd like to use my iPad to watch games while also watching tv with the wife (she doesn't watch sports). Would pay for this but most of the games I'm interested in would be blacked out: local team and one other team that is often on national cable channels.
Believe most folks assume "blackout" applies to the home team that doesn't sell out that game. This has been the rule for over the air broad casts of nfl games. NBA expands on that significantly.

And if you can, are there any restrictions, e.g. can't watch full games/live?
