Apple TV and photos on .Mac
I have .Mac account and I do store there my photos in Web albums. How to view them in Apple TV 2.0. Apple TV asks to enter photo gallery name. What name is that? I tried titles for my photo galleries, I tried my log in name. Nothing seems to work.
Does anyone know how to view photos from .Mac?

Keep in mind that the galleries can not be password protected for ATV access.
That tripped me up for a week or so, as all of my galleries were PW protected. If so, ATV will only allow you to remove the listing for your gallery; it will not show what is there. I edited one of my galleries to remove the PW requirement, and ATV is now able to display it.

I just got a new Apple TV and for some reason it will not detect my photos in Photo Stream. It works on all of my other devices, but it does nothing on my Apple TV.

Not sure if you've figured this out yet. I had the same problem and this is how I solved it (only moments ago)
I was already signed into PhotoStream but couldn't get my photos to appear.
Under the Internet channel, there is a PhotoStream App. Open that app and sign in if you aren't already. Then give it a few seconds/minutes to load into AppleTV all your photos from PhotoStream. You'll see them all load in automatically.
And that's it. When my AppleTV next went to screen saver my photos appeared. (Of course, I had already selected PhotoStream as my screensaver folder choice.) So you'll need to make that selection under ScreenSaver, obviously.
I'm guessing that each time you have new images in PhotoStream you'd like to add to AppleTV, you'll need to open that App again so that AppleTV brings them in.
But this new feature is fantastic. I've been trying to find an easy way to make my personal photos be my AppleTV screensaver since i got the device, and this addresses that. Tho to WC's comment, I'll be curious to see what happens when there is a photo in there i don't want included in my AppleTV screensaver feed.
I've also not tried removing images from my PhotoStream yet. Not sure how easy/difficult that might be. -
If i want to delete my existing apple ID and change into a new one, does my history (such as photos, musics, games) will be gone too?

TS2972 Apple TV and photo library
I have 1080p Apple TV and am running windows 7 with iTunes and have had home sharing working on my wifi with Apple TV for months. I have just added new photos to the library and put them on my iPad but Apple TV won't display them. I have restarted iTunes. Restarted the computer. Sync home sharing. They still don't display. The photos are in a folder the same as all the others and I can see all the old ones not the new ones.
Looking online I'm not the only one to have this problem. Sort it out apple as Apple TV is not fit for sale as it dose not work as you advertise.I also asked if computer was on and running iTunes, if all was up to date. I assume you have not done any troubleshooting so check out the tips

Wondering if it's possible to enable mirroring and so the mac mini only sends what would be on its own screen to the appleTV with just an exit airplay or similar on the mac screen.
no it's mirror so if you turn off the mac screen then a mirror of that would be a turned off tv
it likely will be possible with the next osx update saw some support for more features in this direction -
Apple Keynotes and Quicktime on Mac?
As the die-hard Apple fan I am, I was trying to watch some older keynotes of apple introducing some products. I have allways had this issue with my Intel mac. They keynotes just don't play. Or very poorly. The audio is fantastic. No problems. But the video comes in blurry, and refreshes every few seconds. Its awful. And somtimes I just get stuck at the copyright information at the beginning. I have normally just grunted, said bug and then watched it on my iPhone. But my iPhone wont play these old keynotes and i am stuck. Its not my internet connection. 6 MBPS.

my iphone 4 doesnt wants to turn on. i tried every step i found to restart it.. and is not working..

Secondly, Does it have a wall power plug? If the battery is dead, it's won't work. Try to charge it with the wall plug adopter and not through the computer. Some USBs don't put out power so, are you pluging it into a Powered USB?
Try these and let us know.
OH! If you got it wet, you may have ended it. Did you get it wet? You could try putting it in a bag of rice, and hope it works. -

This might be a stupid question, but we need to know before getting apple tv. Is it possible to show pictures out of Aperture to clients via Apple TV? Will the file name be displayed ( Important for ordering these pictures)? Till now we did present the photos to customers on a Macbook Pro on Aperture Lighttable. Is there a professional looking way to show the proofs with Apple TV, even to select pictures?

yes you can use aperture with the appletv (just like iphoto).
no the filenames are not shown on screen.
you can play a slideshow or show individuals photos via the appletv. -
Changed my apple id and pswd but now mac book pro keeps trying to log in with old id

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button) -
How to unregister Macbook from one apple-id and register to an other
I have an iphone and an ipad with my own apple-id. My son bought me a macbook but installed and registered it with his own apple-id, instead of with mine.
I want to unregister the macbook from my son's apple-id and registers it with my apple-id, so I can synchronize with icloud all my devices.
I did some investigation.
Till now evenhow I see two ways and I am not sure which one to choose.
1. On the Macbook I can go to supportprofile.apple.com. This is the My Support Profile of my son. I can remove the Macbook here. Now I can do the same on my ipad with my apple-id and add and register the Macbook as a new product.
2. On the Macbook I can go to Itunes>Store>Show account and remove the Macbook here. Now remove the authorization of my son in Itunes>Store>Remove authorization and then add the authorization of my apple-id.

I am also not sure if I am complete with all the steps.

I have a dutch Macbook with Lion, so maybe the terms are not totaly equivalent to the English terms in the menu's.You have to do both things: remove the MacBook Air from his Apple ID in http://supportprofile.apple.com and add it to your Apple ID, and deauthorize the Mac from the iTunes Store. This should be enough.
After authorizing your Mac with your Apple ID, open the Mac App Store, go to Purchases and accept all the listed apps, which should be iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand. If the Mac was purchased after October 1st, you can also accept Keynote, Pages and Numbers -
We have two iPads. mine is the first one purchased. I opened iTunes to put some photos from the Mac to my wife's iPad. I plugged in my wife's iPad. Both ipads have the same apple id and password. iTunes synced everything from my iPad to my wife's iPad. Now we have two identical iPads looking like mine. Everything on her ipad seems gone and replaced with mine, all her recent holiday photos, emails, settings, etc etc seem gone.

I am trying to copy photos from an iPad to a Mac Air, but iPhoto does not recognize them. Please forgive the ignorance, but we have just started moving to apple products and I know nothing about them. Do you have to use PhotoStream to do this?
How did the photos that you want to copy off get on the iPad ? To copy photos to your computer that were taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page - on a Mac you should be able to use iPhoto, Aperture or Image Capture
To copy photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app on your iPad such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer. -

how can i sort the issue with my apple ID. I bought my imac through the internet, apple shop.
I only have one apple ID and it wont accept it to update my iphoto and imovie. I am really struggling now that i want to back my photos using icloud.If it does not accept the ID/password, then that means the apps were purchased using another iTunes account. Apps purchased at the App Store are forever tied to the ID that was used when buying them.
BTW iCloud is not a storage service like Dropbox, it's mainly for syncing data and for iOS device backups. It will include photos in the camera roll during an iOS backup to iCloud, but that is not storage in the usual sense.
