Apple TV buffering every 5 minutes?

I just got Apple TV today to take place of my DirecTV Cinema, which is terrible, but I am regretting this purchase. I downloaded a movie and it buffers at least every 5 minutes, not for very long, but it's very annoying. I also got a new modem and router for my wireless and that might be the problem. Is there any thing I can do about this? Thinking about taking it back...

Yes, it's likely a network issue.
What is your connection speed (www.speedtest.net) 6mbps required for instant 720P, 8mbps for 1080P
Check istumbler.net or netstumbler for interference
Make sure router is up to date
Ensure you are on your ISPs DNS

Apple tv restarts every 20 minutes

When Im watching a movie on apple tv (2nd generation), it crashes every 20 minutes or so I loose about 5 seconds of every movie.

It crashes or restarts and then it comes back to what I was watching but the movie was still playing so when it comes back I have missed the time that it took to restart. The process of restarting and coming back it´s usually about 3 to 5 seconds.

I have a similar issue with my Home Sharing. Everything plays just fine on my Apple TV except when I try to play a movie using Home Sharing. If I choose the same show or movie from the Purchased section of iTunes it works just fine but nothing ever loads for me on Home Sharing.
Not the exact same issue, but very similar. Good luck, I'm hoping to learn something here too!

4s asks for apple id password every few minutes

Everything is up to date, but suddenly this morning, the dialog box pops up asking for my apple id to sign into icloud. I punched it in, and it went away. Then, a few minutes later it popped up again. I've tried restarting, but it's still doing this every time I open an app--Facebook, Mail, anything, and sometimes it just pops up randomly while the phone is sitting there doing nothing.
What is going on? Any sugestions on how to fix this?

Use iTunes on your computer to deauthorize all your devices. Then sign out of your Apple ID on the device. Then sign back in.
How to change the Apple ID on my iOS Device
Settings > iTunes & App stores.
Tap your Apple ID, sign out then sign back in with new AppleID.
Settings > Facetime.
Tap your Apple ID, sign out then sign back in with new AppleID.
Settings > Messages.
Turn off iMessages, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on. Go to 'Receive messages at' and then tap your Apple ID. Sign out of the old ID, then sign in with new Apple ID.
Settings > iCloud.
Delete the account (make sure to KEEP the information on your phone), then turn it back on with new Apple ID.

Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

HT1595 HD movies buffer every 10 minutes

Replay of an HD movie from iTumes buffers every 10 minutes, for 5-7 minutes. The wireless network is in proper range, the download speed is OK, and nothing else is sucking up bandwidth. My other HD streaming solutions (e.g. Netflix) do not experience this problem. Any thoughts on what might be the problem?

The first thing to check would be your internet download speed, you can do this at www.speedtest.net.
1080p HD movies require a recommended speed of 8 Mbps, 720p HD movies require a recommended speed of 6 Mbps, while SD movies require a recommended speed of 2.5 Mbps.

(if i turn the phone off my pressing the two buttons it wont keep rebooting, its only when i leave it after turning it on)
I have reset the phone, full firmware restore, even downgraded back from firmware 4.2.1 to .3.1.3 official by using dfu mode and still doesnt fix.
(i correctly got out of dfu mode after the downgrade)
i can enter dfu mode and recovery, and update through itunes with no problem, but it doesnt fix the problem,
i have searched and found no answer to this problem, every option availible to try that i know of i have tried and failed. i dont care about preserving my content i just want a fix. i have a good understanding how to operate software on a computer and shouldnt be too confused by any advice given, so plz even if the answer is very complex i wish to try anything, please help me to get my iphone working.

My iPad2 is frozen at slide to unlock screen, every few minutes the apple appears in the middle of the screen and couple of minutes later it will go back on freeze to the slide to unlock screen . I have tried all tricks even the restoration through iTunes which I was never able to complete because of the apple screen; iTunes thinks I am resetting my iPad and the restoration get aborted.
Please help, I can't even turn it off.

Force iPad into Recovery Mode
1. Turn off iPad
2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times.

Using Apple TV.I have to close i Tunes every +- 10 minutes to re start when watching a TV show downloaded to my primary PC when using Home Sharing

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)

Ipad Air update to IOS 8.02( stuck in apple logo; turns blue every few minutes and starts over; itunes does not recognize it)

Hi everybody,
i updated my IPAD bought in october 2013 to IOS 8.02.
Now the IPAD only goes to the apple logo, every few minutes it blinks blue and starts over. I tried doing the home plus switch thing and it doesnt work.
Itunes does not recognize the device either.
Do you have any solution to this issue?

Why does my iPad continually prompt me to enter my apple Id and password? Every 5 minutes? Where can I change this setting. My password is correct.

My iPad always asks me to enter my I'd and password. It is the correct password but seems to be set to prompt this question every 5 minutes. Where do I change this. I'm going nuts! Am 72 and everything else works great but don't want this interruption. Please help. Thank you.

Try rebooting your iPad: Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple Logo and then let go of both buttons and your iPad will reboot. You won't lose any settings or data. See if that stops the problem.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
