Apple TV Connection help!
I just purchased an Apply TV and it will not work, it keeps asking for a profile that needs to be made? Then i changed my apple id email since that address will soon be deleted and it will not recognize on my apple tv!
@danirami, thanks for the additional information. From what I'm gathering, is that your Apple TV is not connected to the Internet. If you have WiFi access, please go to: Settings > General > Network and choose an available network to connect your Apple TV to. If you do not have access to WiFi, connecting using Ethernet/wired network connection.

They don't expire. As far as anyone knows Apple IDs live on forever - if you forgot its password use https://iforgot.apple.com. Good luck with the answers to whatever security questions it asks.

Right! That's the reason you do not create a new Apple ID.
As far as Apple is concerned a new Apple ID is a completely different user, with absolutely, positively no access to anything available to any other Apple ID.
Concentrate your efforts on resetting the password to your old Apple ID. It has not expired, and is the only way to use all your existing iTunes purchases, App Store purchases, computer authorizations... etc. Forget about the new Apple ID you just created. -
I need to connect I-Mac G5 to HDMI TV, I think I need this: Video Out: mini-VGA (mirror only) to HDMI, where can I buy? Apple Bluewater no help.
VGA is an analog signal HDMI is digital. A simple cable would not work you would need something that converts the analog signal to digital.
A search of VGA to HDMI turned up a few possibilities but nothing specific. In any case the picture on the TV will not be very good given the source.
You should check to see if the TV has a VGA input. Some TV's have a computer connection port and this is usually VGA.

have a Comcast system and am going through a Bose amp for sound. The comcast box has an HDMI port which I've used for the Apple TV connection. Nothing works! Help.

I put a Tesco sim (02 carrier) in 2 unlocked phones, Both phones are now locked to 02, 02 blame apple, I connect the iphone to itunes and it states that the new carrier (orange) is not supported, Isk this of both 02 and apple, who's phone is this and what right do you have to lock a previously unlocked phone? very angry

These and other forums are full of people with iPhone unlocking problems - the net result is that, as others have said, is:
If you bought them from Apple they will be (and stay) unlocked.
If you bought them PAYG from CPW then they will lock to the first SIM activated.
Any other contract or PAYG phone iPhone bought from the networks WILL be locked by them too.
However, all is not lost. The original purchaser can request for the phones to be unlocked by Apple, via the carrier. The carriers usually charge around £20 to do this, or gratis if you're out of contract.
You are the original purchaser, right? If not, you need to get in touch with that person and pray they'll help you out. -

I had md197ll and the speaker broke so apple replaced it. My girlfriend and i both had white md197ll (white iphone4 8gig) all electronics in our house run on dd-wrt(linksys wrt54g) during Xmas I had 10 of them and they all connected... Apple replaced the one I just had with refurb md198ll wich i found out is world quadraband gsm iPhone.. Didn't connect to any wifi except apple store (which is a super network they claim is not lol) trust me it is. They replaced it no problem again, then I got the same world gsm factory unlocked one again md198ll which is what using now. It will NOT connect to dd-wrt at all but my neibors can,my iPads, pc's wii Xbox etc. this one just say will not connect and doesn't even try?? I don't know why and apple will not help?? I am pretty good at this stuff so Im not missing anything. Btw it's my friends Internet but hes I'm afghanistan so he let's me pay bill and use it. (so I can't reset router but can unplug from cable box outside if need) it runs fine, one night I made a repeater and named it dd.wrt instead of dd-wrt and it worked but no gateway and only 255.255etc WHY won't my phome try??? World gsm?? Software difference? ????? Please help this was actually my pregnant girls phone but she cant watch her stuff on it know so I gave her mine... I will gladly take the one with no speaker back, rather then apple screw me and say too bad like they did

Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

I can open Itunes but as soon as the ipod is connected the error msg"apple mobile device helper has encountered problems". I tunes become non responsive and I have to delete thru Windows task mgner. I have deleted itunes and reloaded. I have reset setting on Ipod. I have turned Ipod off and on again but I cannot get a connnection between ipod and I tunes
i finally found a way to fix the problem (aprt frm throwing the bloody thing away)...rolled back the computer htree days and reload evrything..so far no more problems

Apple TV connection problem + Time Capsule
Hi there, I seriously need your help because I don't know what else I can do.
Here's the situation: if I want to sync a single movie (let's say about 1.3 gig in size) to my Apple TV (connected via wireless to my Time Capsule) from my iMac (also connected via Airport), everything goes wrong. I just click on sync in iTunes, see the progress bar slowly going up and as soon as it reach 40%, it just stops sending the data. I check iStat in dashboard just to realize my computer is neither sending nor receiving any data! I then open Safari and not a single web page will load. I then switch back to iTunes, click on the little X to cancel the sync and after 30 seconds, the Apple TV dissapears from the list and the only way I get back my internet is by going to my Time Capsule, pull the plug and reset it. I then get back my internet but I'm still not able to sync my movie to my Apple TV.
I tried reseting my computer, reseting the Apple TV, repair permission, trash itunes preferences nothing seems to be working. I don't know what else to do.

I am having a similar problem which started in the last two days with my playstation not finding the network from the TC, although the AT! and everything else in the house can find it just fine. The connection in the AT1 is spotty. I wonder if setting the TC to "internet robustness" will help or hurt? I just tried that and will let you know if it helps. Also, often, the syncing stops and does not complete between our iMac (i7 processor) and our AT1.

I have tried the widgets offered by Adobe. They don't work in IE8 and I have tried all the fixes from the Adobe Labs. Doctype....If I change the doctype as recommended, then I get a white outlined box in the middle of the photos which I can't remove.
