Apple TV Constantly Resyncs w/iTunes

My Apple TV which had been working fine for over two years has started to more and more frequently drop all its content and re-sync with iTunes. Initially, it was doing it on average of once a week, but since the last few updates and the addition of a Time Capsule on my network, it's now deleting all content and re-syncing several times per day.
Has anyone else with this problem found a solution?

Similar problems here. iTunes is set to sync all tv shows purchased on Apple TV. It does this over and over again with exactly the same material.
I have my iTunes preferences set to an external drive since my file is way too big for the laptop.
As I type this it has just started syncing the entire catalog again, despite there being absolutely no changes since it complete the last sync yesterday.
Any ideas anyone?

Had my apple TV for about 2 months. Works fine, no issues. I only stream, and don't store or sync any movies or music on the ATV itself.
In the past it would automatically sync whenever I added a movie, even though it wasn't adding it to the ATV itself. And it wouldn't last that long.
Yesterday I consolidated my library to a new drive and it's been constantly syncing ever since. I'm still able to use the ATV, but why is it still syncing?
Keep in mid I have 40,000 mp3's and about 90 movies in my library so it's pretty big. Is it just taking this long to go through the whole new library location? Or is there another reason?

Several times I've re-entered my passwords under Preferences/Internet Accounts/iCloud and it won't save since I've installed Mavericks. Also, the iCloud icon in the left column in Preferences/Internet Accounts/iCloud is greyed out but allows me to click on it to set-up. When I click on iCloud the password is filled out but the "Enable this account" check-box is not checked. I check it, and all seems correct. The icon is no longer grey, the password is correct, the "activate this account" check-box is checked. Then, when I launch mail, notes etc. I'm still prompted to re-enter my apple ID. The log-in loop continues. For years my keychain has worked perfectly. What has changed in Mavericks?

Apple TV does not load rented items from iTunes in less than three (3) hours depsite YouTube, Netflix and network being fine. How can I get Apple to actually provide the iTunes service I am paying for?

I'm just tired of waiting on this inept device and it's underserved iTunes counterpart being unable to deliver enough bandwidth to load a show within a reasonable amount of time. I'm a big Apple fan and an equally big critic. This whole rig is a big FAIL so far, Apple. There is nothing ON DEMAND about the iTunes Store at this point. Netflix and YouTube work better on Apple TV than their own iTunes Store! And, this has been going on for a few years now, unremedied, and is only getting worse with more people buying these devices! The good news is, that iTunes will give refunds about 85% of the time if I explain my problem the way I have here. SO, ATTENTION: EVERYONE WITH AN APPLE TV: If you have this same issue with iTunes Store not properly serving your paid content, do not hesitate to ask for your money back. It's the least they can do for the amount of life wasted waiting for a show to load. Not to mention, all the disappointments with the kids at bedtime and when my wife and I want to just relax and turn something on.
Bottom Line: ITUNES IS UNDER-SERVED!!!

Is it possible the ISPs are somehow limiting or buffering the data packets coming through the port(s) employed by iTunes Store? Like I say, with me and many others on this forum, the problem lies solely with iTunes Store. Youtube, Netflix, Podcasts and everything else generally serve up just fine. The iTunes Store, however, is a consistent failure. Something that seems unusual for Apple not to address, being so customer-centric and all.
Please share any links or insights you have here so the faithful might get to the bottom of this incredibly annoying problem. I WANT MY ATV!

icloud just keeps bringing up my old email address & asking for my old password which doesn't exist anymore and when I try to sign out of icloud it wants my old password, when I tried to change my primary email back to the old one it wants me to verify it through an email address that doesn't exist. Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you updated your Apple Id and password but now you are being prompted for the old information in iCloud. You are on the right track by changing the Apple ID back to the previous email address temporarily so that you can sign out. You should not need to verify the email address. After you edit the Apple ID back to the old email address and then sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, edit the Apple ID back to the address you would currently like to use. There is no need to change the password again, only the email address, unless you prefer to update the password again.

Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Sign Out, then tap Sign Out to confirm. If you're using iOS 7 or earlier, tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap Keep on My [Device] or Delete from My [Device]. In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.

To solve this issue all I did was check to ensure that the file permissions were set as described by the earlier posts, followed by simply deleting the iTunes Library Genius.itdb file. Once the file was deleted I was able to open iTunes without difficulty. Note that I am running Windows 8. Hope this helps!

If you want to share a single AppleID with a single iTunes Library, then simply sync both devices to that iTunes library using the same user account.
If you want to sync two AppleIDs to one iTunes library, in iTunes on the computer, login and authorize each AppleID, then sync the devices to that common iTunes library in the same user account.
You do not do anything on the device being sync'd itself - it all has to do with how iTunes that you are syncing to is set up and what AppleIDs are authorized there. You can sync multiple devices to iTunes, just be sure that each device gets a unique device name in the iTunes sidebar.
To then use unique AppleIDs for iCloud and iMessage on a iOS device, first, make an iCloud account with the AppleID you want to use (go to http://www.iCloud.com), then set up that iCloud account on the device with that ID and password. In iMessage, just log out with whatever AppleID you are using now, log in with the new AppleID and it will reauthorize, now linking that device with the new iMessage account just created with that AppleID (your iMessage primary account ID is always the AppleID used to initially create and verify the iMessage account).

No, you can only connect to one Home Sharing account at a time. If you want to see the content of the other Mac's library you will have to turn off Home Sharing on the Apple TV and log back in with the other iTunes account.

Change it on what way ? You can update the primary email address on an account by tapping on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store on an iOS device and signing into the account, via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes or via http://appleid.apple.com
If you want to log out of the account so that you can log in with a different account then tap on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store if using an iOS device and sign out, or on a computer's iTunes use the Store > Sign Out menu option. Can't get apple tv to communicate with iTunes or any of my other apple devices.

I have an Apple TV, iPad, and a couple of iPhones and an iTunes account with the Home Sharing feature tuned "on". When I first connected my Apple TV to my network everything worked correctly, I could use the Remote application from each of my devices to control iTunes, I could mirror from my devices to the Apple TV using Airplay and had no problems with Home Sharing. However, after about a week of everything working perfectly it all stop working. Now I can't get any of my devices to communicate across my network and none of my devices can utilize Airplay, Remote app, or access iTunes via my wireless network. I spoke with an Apple customer service rep who told me that the router will monitor traffic from certiain ports and block them if it thinks that the traffic is coming from a perceived security threat. He suggested that I set up port forwarding in my router for the most commonly used ports by apple devices and software. So I followed his suggestion and made the following port forwarding settings:

By the way, my router is a Netgear WNDR3400. After making the port forwarding setting I still can't get any of my devices to work properly. My Apple TV will communicate with my desktop computer if I connect it to the router via a hard wired connection but it will not work via a wireless connection. Anytime I try to access the Remote application on any of my devices I get the message that says "Turn on Home Sharing in iTunes on your computer or on Apple TV. - I have checked multiple times to see that I have Home Sharing turned on and I can assure you that it is.
I am running the most up to date software versions on all of my Apple devices, iTunes, and my Netgear router.
Any help with this matter is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

One thing I forgot to mention is that I am running Windows 7 and I have already gone into the firewall security setting and told it to allow all of the apple programs like bonjour and iTunes through.
