Apple TV don't display my Music?

Any tips on how to show (and play!) My Library on the Apple TV ?

from iTunes on your Mac/PC, go to File ==> Home Sharing ==>Turn On Home Sharing.
Also, if you've had to change your iTunes PW, make sure the PW on your AppleTV device (for iTunes) is the same. Even if you haven't, it's probably a good idea to log out of iTunes on your AppleTV device, and then log back in, to make sure everything is synched up.

I have connecting my iPod (4G) with a docking station on my Stereo Receiver. After a while all my music is gone; but when I connect my iPod on my computer (iTunes) and then disconnect (that's all), everything is back on the iPod.
A second problem is that now and then I can only listen to the
last number a listened before. The clicking wheel is not responding. A hard reset is the only solution

I updated the photos that share with Apple TV but old photos display during music
I updated the photo file that shares with Apple TV, and they display correctly when I play the slide show, but when they play slideshow with music playing it's the old photo file. How do I get the new photos to display during music? Thanks
Not sure what you are trying to do, but the photo is just cached. You might try restarting ATV and see if that will foruce a cache relaod.
What is it you did? Did you update an image, cover art, photo stream? It could also be that what ever you updated it not what is being displayed. For instacne if you updated something in iPhoto, but are pointing to Photostream that will not have an effect. Same problme if you are looking at cover art while the music is playing. -
Apple TV does not display music purchases
My Apple TV is not displaying my iTunes music purchases. The Apple TV says it has the most recent software updates. Appreciate any tips.

How do I change the default apple ID that's displayed when buying or updating apps? It's currently defaulting to a no-longer-existing ID, and I don't know how to change it.
Any apps you purchased with the no-longer-existing ID will always have to be updated with the password to that account, you cannot merge account purchases.
To change to your new account go to Settings > Store > Apple ID: and put in the one you want to use. -
I recently uninstalled itunes to work on other computer issues. I was told I would be able to reinstall itunes, and through my apple account retrieve all of my music. I just don't know how to do that. Can someone please help me? Thanks!
okay, I figured it out. But for anyone else with this same issue. Open up your itunes. On the panel, on the left hand side, click downloads. It won't show your old stuff, but on the botttom right hand side, there will be a button you can left click that reads "download previously purchased" and everything shows. You just select all and confirm download. YAY! Glad I got my music back :-) Hope this helps

The internet pages don't display properly I'm using osx10.3.3, yahoo for example asks me to update, but I cant find out how, as the apple store just keeps sending back to the same page with no down load option...do i need to up date or is it just my mac
What Mac model do you have? You might be able to upgrade the OS to Tiger 10.4 or Leopard 10.5.
Even browsers for Tiger 10.4 will get the update message.
You could try a newer browser than Safari, which is obsolete, by downloading Firefox v2.0.0.20 at http://www.oldapps.com/mac/firefox.php

On Monday, I synced my iPod. On Wednesday, I go to the health club, find my playlist, click on the button and the iPod displays "NO MUSIC." When I synced the iPod days earlier, iTunes showed that there was music on the iPod. I disconnected properly. What happened? Only the music disappeared from the iPod. I had some Notes and they were still on the iPod. After getting home from the health club today, I plug in the iPod to my PC, and iTunes shows that the iPod has the music on it. Anyway, I did a sync again, disconnected the iPod, and it looks like the music is on the iPod again.
SO - WHAT HAPPENED?No you are NOT alone. Support staff would make you think that though as they are no help. I purchased a 5th gen Nano in Feb and in mid-June experienced the same problem described by you and others - music files on iPod can be seen (and played) only when using iTunes. The iPod shows memory consumed but "No Music" or any other files.
I fixed this problem but had to take the radical step of moving all my music from PC to iMAC. I created a new user on the family's iMac and opened iTunes. I changed the Synch setting to Manual (unlikely it makes any difference) and used Restore feature to reset the iPod. I burned 1 CD just to see what would happen and Synch'd. WORKED! I then took all my music files from the PC via portable hard drive and moved them to the appropriate folder on the Mac. There are instructions on the Support page to do this. I struggled until I found that iTunes does not recognize the new files until you select File/Add to Library/ and then select the folder with the copied files.
Of note; PC was upgraded to iTunes 9.2.1 while Mac was not. I don't intend to upgrade the Mac for fear the bug is in 9.2.1 (upgrade was suspiciously close to when problem started).
I am fortunate to have the iMac (even though this will be less convenient than using my laptop PC). If you don't have the Mac my recommendation is to try the Genius desk at your local Apple store where they may replace it if they can't fix it. Good luck!! -

To transfer files from your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer:

Here are ways to add items from your computer to your iTunes library:
Drag a file or folder from the Finder to the iTunes window.

If I have 2 tv's and each their own apple tv can I display the same program to them from my macbook at the same time?

The Apple TV cannot display keynote presentations or websites from the computer. It can display them via mirroring from the iPad 2 or better or the iPhone 4S.
You cannot AirPlay to 2 Apple TV 2's at the same time from an iOS device. You can watch the same video, TV show or listen to the same music from your iTunes library on multiple Apple TV's at the same time. -
Using Azul media player app on my ipad Apple tv will only display sound but not video from movies. Any ideas on a fix. I set mirroring to on but it still does not display video. It will display photos and video recorded from my iphone.
Here are the steps for AirPlay:
Before starting Azul from your (running iOS 5.x/6.x) home screen where have have all your apps we need to turn on mirroring
On your iPhone 4S/5 or iPad 2 or 3, double-click the Home Button to view your recently-used apps.
Swipe all the way to the right to until you see the icon.
Note: If the icon does not appear, go to the "If AirPlay Mirroring is not visible or available on your mobile iOS device" section.
Tap the icon to see the list of available AirPlay devices.
Enable AirPlay Mirroring in this menu by tapping on an available Apple TV, then sliding the Mirroring slider to ON.
Now you should be seeing your iPad/iPhone on your TV.
Start up Azul now and using the settings icon on the top right corner go to the option that say "TV out" ON.
When you do that you will see an Orange screen
Now click "Done" and play the video you want to watch and it will AirPlay -
I have been a customer of ITunes and Apple since 2007. Movies, Apps, Music and books Itunes has been my only source for my media needs. 397 Apps 759 Songs over 100 Videos 13 books 3 IPhones 2 IPods So here is my problem with ITunes I purchased an App and it is identical to one I have already brought. The App description did not say anything that it would not do what I was trying to do. I wrote sup[port and asked if they could issue a credit. Mari at support wrote back and said he checked with his supervisor and they could not issue a credit. I told them what a good loyal customer I have been to Itunes and Apple and they still refused. Granted the App did not cost a lot of money (3.99) but it’s the principle. With customers having options to shop anywhere I would think a business would do whatever it takes to retain the loyal customers they do have Occasionally I rush to buy an App without fully understanding if it meets my needs. According to ITunes support that has occurred nine times. Here is the last reply that I received Roger, I know how frustrating it can be when things don't work the way they should be and I do apologize for the inconvenience that this may have caused you. I am sorry but we could not be able to grant your request as we have made 9 exceptions on you. You've already had 9 refunds? You understand that apps are sold on a non-return policy, presumably. You bought an app that didn't claim to do something that you wanted from it, and now that you've found that it doesn't, you want your money back.
Perhaps you've failed to explain your point properly but I can't see why you expect any sympathy from users here, not that it would make any difference. Only the store staff can issue refunds if they think appropriate. Chalk it up to experience. You could even contact the developer in advance of a purchase if you want to be certain an app does what you want. Then if it really fails to live up to the promise you would at least have a better argument for a refund.

My old hard drive crashed and had to get it replaced. How do I reinstall my old library to the new hard drive from my iphone4s so I don't lose my music?
Officially you don't. Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.
