Apple tv flickr account

Does anyone know if Apple tv will allow connection to contacts with special characters? I can connect to all my contacts except for my own account which has an "&" symbol in it.

Interesting to know why Flickr wouldn't allow a user to login and access their private pics on Apple TV. You can already log in via third party apps on iPhone which allow you to view everything in your profile.
Wonder why they don't allow this with ATV.

  • How many Apple TVs can login to one Flickr account?

If I have twelve Apple TVs in different conference rooms, can I have all of them login to one Flickr account so they can all show the same photos on their screensavers? I couldn't find this on the Flickr site so I figured I'd try here. Thanks to anyone who can offer up an answer.

In addition to accessing the Flickr site, Apple TV also supports connecting to personal Flickr accounts. I want to connect twelve apple TVs to one personal Flickr account and wanted to find out if anyone knew if there were limitations to doing this. I'm trying to avoid finding out down the road that this results in some sort of problem and creates an issue at the wrong time resulting in a bad user experience.

  • Flickr account on apple tv

    Hello
How do I log in into my flickr account on the Apple TV?
I can add me as a contact only but that doesn't give me access to my private albums!
    is that possible to do?
    thanks

We used to be able to log in.  I could see private albums as recently as five miniutes ago.  However, it spontaneously would not be able to access the iTunes server for iTunes match and I had to do a full restore.  Now the restored version won't let me log in, just add the contact.  Did they remove this feature?

  • Can I log into my Flickr account on my apple TV

I would like to log into my Flickr account so I can view my pictures that are marked private. Any ways to do this???

No, only public ones will be viewable via ATV.

  • Request for new feature: Login to Flickr account

I have a request for a new feature for ATV2 in the next sw update. I am hoping Apple will read this.. Please enable ATV2 to login to our Flickr accounts. The way it is, we can't see certain contacts' pictures as their profiles are set to public.
And please find a solution to never ending "Loading XXXX's Library" screen. Loading a library on the same wifi network (both for files on Mac or Airport's USB Harddrive) takes forever.
    Thanks

I have an ATV2 and it was logged in fine--I had to restore a few minutes ago because it lost it's connection with iTunes Match, and now I can't log in any more.  This is TERRIBLE as I HAVE to keep my photos on Flickr private, but want to have them playing on the AppleTV at home for me, friends, and parties.
    Why did this go away?!?!

  • Aperture 3.4.4 and the new 1Tb Flickr account

    Hi,
I have signed for a new1Tb free Flickr account that allows uploading full size photos.
When I try to publish to Flickr from my Aperture library it gives me only the option of uploading a "Web size" copy, the full size option is grayed and says "(pro only)".
Apple should update Aperture to allow everybody to upload full size photos, I expect it soon.
On the other hand, is there a limit on the size of a Flickr set Aperture can create? I think it used to be a limit of 500 photos per set and I had to split my albums when I tried this feature some time ago.
    Regards,
    Ramon Garcia

And I think it's not their fault (Flickr), I suppose Aperture grays out the option to upload full size when Flickr informs it that our account is not a pro account (wich is true). Then it's Apple who has to change Aperture to use a different API or to never gray out the size options in order to agree with the new Flickr policy.
I informed Apple of this problem through this page http://www.apple.com/feedback/aperture.html altough I suppose they already know... and my previous bug reports (more than one year ago) where ignored

  • Cannot find Flickr account

    Hi,
I cannot find my own Flickr Account on my Apple TV. I think it has something to do with my privacy settings in my Flickr account. Does anyone know what setting to change in my Flickr Account without 'publishing' my Photo's all over the www?

you need to add your username, not display name.
look at the URL when viewing your photos
    example - http://www.flickr.com/photos/ch3nks/
ch3nks is my username, and it is that you would add to get access to your public photos.

  • Problem linking my flickr account

I am having trouble linking my flickr account in iPhoto '11. When I go to add the account, I get the dialog which says "Do you want to set up iPhoto to publish to Flickr?". Then I click the Set Up button, a message saying Authorizing appears for a moment and nothing else happens.

(Just beware that when you upload with iPhoto, if you delete the flickr album in iPhoto, it will also delete the pictures from flickr, too. I learned this the hard way. iPhoto uses the true two-way 'sync' feature that all of the Apple products use. I love it on my iPhone, hate it with flickr. )
Ya I posted a reply to another thread this morning and mentioned that. I would love for iPhoto to have the option to "turn off" or disconnect (de-link, etc.) syncing of an album with Flickr. Then you could delete it from your Flickr list in iPhoto.
Many times a set it manipulated and uploaded and then you are kind of done with it as far as wanting to edit anything more. So it would be nice to clean up iPhoto by removing all the Flickr albums from the left side of ones you no longer want to maintain via iPhoto but want to leave posted at Flickr.
I already put in my feedback with the feedback link in iPhoto!

  • Why can I only see 500 pictures from my Flickr account?

I just got a 3rd gen Apple TV and was trying to use the Flickr app however I can't see all the photos on my account. I have a set of 1,200 pictures on my Flickr account all set to public but I'm only able to see 500 of those pictures. The name of the set shows up but not all the pictures in the set. I don't have a pro account if that matters.
    Thanks!
    JM

Flickr app on Apple TV is rudimentary, needs a lot of improvement such as being able to see all photos (scrolling through 500 at a time if memory is a problem), searching sets, seeing Collections. So I really don't use it except as a screen saver for the most recent photos. Until they improve the app, I display photos via an iPad or iPhone mirroring from the Flickr app, Flickr Studio, or Fickstackr. Far more convenient, too.

  • Iphone 5 keeps randomly asking me to enter the password for my flickr account??

When I open a contact on my phone, it asks me to "enter the password for the Yahoo! account "Flickr"". Which makes absolutely no sense. Flickr is hard coded into my phone and keeps asking for this and I don't have a flickr account. Any ideas??
I've tried everything, uninstalling flickr, setting up an account with flickr and registering an account, deleting my accounts, syncing my phone, updating, EVERYTHING, with no luck. This is becoming seriously irritating.... Any help would be amazing!

Without access to that account with the correct password, you can't.  You might try contacting the Apple account security team to see if they can help: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699.

  • Two iPhones, both mine, using the same Apple ID iCloud account

I've seen similar questions but it is always being brought up by members of a family each with their own phone sharing an account. My scenario is different...
I have an activated Verizon iPhone 5, running iOS 7.1.x. I have an Apple ID and it backs up stuff to my iCloud account.
I've just received an, as of right now, non-activated T-Mobile iPhone 6. I haven't turned it on yet but it'll of course have iOS 8.x.
Both phones are mine. In a couple weeks, I'm going to go through the whole process of porting my number from Verizon to T-Mobile, but for reasons I won't go into now, I can't do that just yet.
If I power on the new iPhone 6 now, because I'm excited and want to play around with it, I should be able to just use it Wi-Fi. My question then is can I use both devices with the same Apple ID / iCloud account?
Obviously phone calls and non-Wi-Fi data will only be working through the iPhone 5, since it's the only one with service, and that's fine. But what happens with backups and syncing? Will new photos and apps end up on both? Will contacts, the call history, and messages (texts and iMessages) end up syncing? Will syncing work in both directions? Any other caveats or problems that I might run into? If it's a pain, I can just leave the iPhone 6 alone, and wait until I port my number over.
    Thanks,
    Manny
P.S. I've never ported a number or upgraded from one iPhone to another, so I don't know how it normally works. I'm assuming my Apple ID can "transfer" everything. I don't have much on my phone so it all fits within my iCloud storage. I don't use it with iTunes, or hook it up to any computer at all, or for music, movies, etc. Just apps, contacts, settings, photos, etc.

So I basically won't run into any trouble? I
There should be no issues. Its designed to work like that.  You don't change Apple IDs just because you get a new device.

Is there any chance that the phones can fall out of sync?
Unlikely. But nothing is impossible.   Though I don;t see how that would happen. As long as both are signed into the Same Apple ID / iCloud Account they will be N'Sync. (Bad Joke)

If I get a message or buy an app or take a photo on the iPhone 5, how do I get those things onto the iPhone 6?
If you buy an App, you have 2 ways to get it to the iPhone6: If Automatic Downloads is enabled in Settings->iTunes & App Store, it will automatically download to the iPhone 6 when you buy it on the 5 and vice versa if you buy it on the 6, it will download to the 5.
Alternatively, you can simply go to the App Store App->Updates->Purchased and look for the App there and download it. Purchased Apps will not require payment again. i.e They'll be free to download to the iPhone 6 once purchased.
SMS Messages will sync over using Continuity as long as they are on the same Wifi network. Otherwise, restoring the iPhone 5 backup to the iPhone 6 will transfer all messages received up until the backup was made onto the iPhone 6.
Images, can be transferred either through Photo Stream
My Photo Stream FAQ - Apple Support
Or any Cloud service you want such as Dropbox, or One Drive.

Also, something i forgot to ask initially: Should I update the iPhone 5 to iOS 8 first or does that not matter?
If you want the Continuity features as explained above you need to update the iPhone 5 to iOS 8. Otherwise its not all that important.

  • It looks like I currently share an apple id and account with my daughter.  Our phones are synched even alarms go off on each others phones.  I want to have my own account so this doesnt continue to happen.  How do I change my iphone to have its own id?

It looks like I currently share an apple id and account with my daughter between iphones.  When I set my alarm it goes off on both phones and contacts are synched as well.  How do I seperate from  her account?

    According to Create an AppleID:
Choose an Apple ID and password.
Enter your primary email address as your Apple ID. This will be used as the contact email address for your account. Please note that this email address must be verified before you can use certain Apple services.
And, unless I'm missing something, it appears that you're trying to use your father's e-mail address. Start at Find your AppleID and see if you can resolve the issue.

  • HT201493 I have 2 iphones on the same apple id/itunes account, how do I give them different IDs?

I have 2 iphones (mine & my wife's) on the same apple id/itunes account, how do I give them different IDs?

I am having the same issue.
There is no possible way Apple didn't think this the whole way thru!
Why in the world would I want to create an new Apple ID for everyone in my family & over complicate things?!?  "Face Time" and "Messages" can tie several devices to on Apple ID driven by contact email or phone number.  I am hard pressed to believe that Find my Friends can't be set up in a similar format.
Please help because this is frustrating me to the point of smashing an iPhone or 2!!

  • Family of 5, all use the same Apple ID/Password/Account.  In settings/messages/send recieve you can "check" my email and up to three phone numbers.  Essentially allowing all iMessages to be sent

Family of 5, all use the same Apple ID/Password/Account.  In settings/messages/send>recieve you can "check" my email and up to three phone numbers.  Essentially allowing all iMessages to be copied to shared account numbers.  Please help me figure out  how to prevent my children from recieving my text correspondence.

On the devices for the members of your family that you DO NOT want to see your iMessagees, go to
    Settings App
    Messages
    Send and Receive
You should see a list of available contacts which would make messages appear. Make certain that each family member has their own individual contact and NOT the same one that you use. I find it useful to have each family member have their own icloud email and use that for iMessaging my kids. My kids do not have iPhones, but if yours do, their phone number should be listed as well. For iPads and iTouches, use icloud email addresses. If you need to send a message to all 3 kids, say, you can just add all three emails to the To box on your iMessage.
    Hope that makes sense.
