Apple TV frozen

Okay ya'll... I got a doozy.
I picked up my Apple TV not even 24 hours ago and I
loved it for the first 6 hours of using it and
playing all of my media. Then it froze up on me at
the start menu and would not respond to the remote
(the led on the front changes colors when I push a
button though).
I tried a few things. Unplugging (no good), reset
(won't respond) and the factory reset (again, does
not respond to the remote other than the led changing
colors). I even did all of the above after removing
sync from the computer side.
Should I just return and try again
later?

I got my ATV just few days ago and it seams I am going through the same issues. My main problem is ATV gets stuck with the apple logo showing and the led is flashing yellow! I tried all the ATV manual suggestions and all the tips of unplugging the power and HDMI connections of which seamed to work some times while mostly don't. It seams that atv behave normally when I leave it long enough to cool, but shortly after using it again same problems come back. Is this something to live with? Or there is something I am missing? I will appreciate your help.

Apple tv frozen after software download....at the cottage..no computer just IPad..why wont it work now...just a cable and itunes imge on the tv? please help!

I just bought Apple tv...was working great of my Ipad at the cottage...kept getting a 'download new software' notice so I did...
now I just have an image of a cable and Itunes on the tv....I have no computer at the cottage, didn''t come with a cable???? Whats up? It wont reboot or reset to factory setting with the remote...frozen?
Please help1 It is hours old out of the box.

The update didn't apply properly. That image is telling you to connect to a computer using micro usb and restore via iTunes. Unfortunately there is no way around that.

Apple screen frozen on a notification

I turned on my ipad and saw a notification about icloud. it told me to go to settings. when i clicked on the button attached to the update it didnt do anything. the time, wifi and siri still work though. i can turn the ipad off because i cant slide the onscreen button as everything behind the icloud thing isnt touch sensitive. nothing is working and the notification is frozen, how do i unfreeze this or even just turn it off with out using any thing onscreen?

Resetting the iPad by holding down the home button and the sleep/wake button until you see the Apple logo will get the notification to go away. After that, just make sure to either back up the iPad to iCloud or switch your automatic backup to iTunes to make sure it won't come back after a few days.

Apple TV Frozen Post-Update

I just ran the software update on my two apple tv's for the iTunes 11 upgrade. Worked on one without issue. Other one took a very long time to restart, now frozen on the home screen, displaying the icons for movies, tv, music, etc. but the remote doesn't work, I can connect with my iphone, but can't use my iphone as a remote, and basically - it just sits there until it times out and shuts off.
Any ideas here?

Try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds, or resetting it using the reset option under general. You should also try restarting your router.
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
    1.    Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
    2.    Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
    3.    Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
    4.    Open iTunes.
    5.    Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore.

Apple id frozen

I just recieved this email that my Apple ID is frozen and I need to verify it. The email link takes me to an apple site where they ask for my personal information including SSN, source code (I don't know what that is) and Account number.
Is this a valid site and valid questions? The email is from iCloud Europe SARL....please advise. Thank you!

Apple 4s frozen after upgrade

My iphone is frozen after upgrading the software. How do I rest the darn thing.

hold down the home/power button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.

Apple logo frozen while download

High while I was downloading the new upgrade my phone froze. It has apple logo and status of download on the screen. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix the problem? I tried to turn it off but cannot do it as it is frozen. Other than trying to take out the battery and resetting , is there any other solution you can offer?

Looks like too many people are doing upgrades and the Apple servers can not handle it :-(

i have tried to reset it using itunes..connected with usb cable and all...

it acts like it is going to reset and then the error message comes..

Apple Logo frozen on screen

HELP! Apple logo is frozen on the screen when I tried to recharge phone. I can neither switch on, off, or reset. It's not charging and not synching with iTunes and I also don't know if it's charging.

Ok, this is the story so far! My son originally had a Samsung Genio phone this was with Vodafone. When I got him the iphone he said he wanted to use the number he had with Vodafone. As the iphone was with Orange, I just bought a bog standard sim which I put in the phone to register with Itunes. I got a PAC code from Vodafone to use this number with the new Three Sim. This is in the process of being transferred over from Vodafone to Three. From what you've said so far, it seems that I need also a PAC code from Orange? Have I understood that correctly? If so, what do I do? Wait until the change over completes or do I still need a PAC from Orange and if so how do I tie these numbers together?

Apple logo frozen with loading

Hello, I wish to bring a problem to the light. So I had this Ipod, somehow it turned off. Now when i start it up, the apple logo comes up for 15 seconds, then the screen glitches and a loading thing comes up over the apple logo. I provided a picture of what it looks like. Please help!

Also it freezes like that until it dies.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

HT1657 Apple TV frozen - Can I get more than the 24-hour window to finish watching it?

Last night I started watching a rented film on my AppleTV. 6 Min into the movie it froze. Then I got a message that said to try again later. I did, about 30 min later. This time I was able to get up to 24 min. before it froze again. It seemed to be just this movie. Other items, like Netflix, on my Apple TV were working. But because I can't watch a movie rented on my Apple TV to any other devices, like my iPhone, I won't be able to get home in time to finish watching the film before the 24 hours is up.
Is there any way around this? I don't want to have to pay the full rental fee again, when it was apparently an Apple failure to stream the film.

Try to force your phone into recovery mode. Disconnect it from the computer's USB cord. Turn it off if you can by holding the sleep/wake switch until you see the red slide to off. If you can't turn it off, please continue. Press and hold the home button while plugging it into the computer's USB cord. Continue holding the Home button while iPhone starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo. 1st Gen Apple TV Frozen

A couple weeks ago, my first generation Apple TV froze up. It restarts fine. It does the wallpaper of photos fine. But it will not accept input from the remote (either the apple remote or my universal remote that I programmed). The cursor sits there on Top Movies, and the amber light flashes, acknowledging the remote signal receipt, but it does nothing. It won't even respond to the signal to enter diagnostic mode. It just...sits there. I've tried powering it down and restarting it. I've tried removing all power for a week and restarting it. Nothing works. This is starting to get frustrating, and apparently the Genius Bar folks at the local store don't take Apple TV troubleshooting appointments.
So....any suggestions?

The Apple TV may have become paired with another remote. Point your remote at the Apple TV and press the menu and rewind buttons together until a broken chain symbol appears on the screen.
