Apple TV gen. 2 not available

It looks as if the new Apple TV gen. 2 is not available in e.g. The Netherlands. Did anybody see more information about availability outside the US?

i bet this is due to there are no movie rentals available in the NL iTunes store (yet).
you could get a unit in e.g. Germany but would be restricted to the content you already have in your iTunes library.

They show up fine and sorted in iTunes.

Apple TV 2 Library Not Available

I have two Apple TV in the house with the same problem. When I first turn on either Apple TV and try to select music or a movie from my computer, I get the message that no music or movies are loaded for this library. I tried resetting apple TV, upgrading software, log in again to no avail. Only way to get it to work is to unplug and plug apple TV back in to get it to recognize my library. Any ideas on what is causing this issue? Home sharing is turned on, using airport extreme, network test is fine, signal strength is at maximum.

Yes I have that problem too.
Restarting iTunes is the workaround for that one, which is obviously a complete pain in the backside if your computer is downstairs and you've just climbed into bed to watch a Movie.
Do you have a library stored on an external drive or NAS? I suspect in my case (although I haven't as yet run tests to confirm), it could be my USB 2TB drive going into sleep mode when itunes is sat idle for x-amount of hours. Toggling itunes off/on seems to restore 'something' and the library is then available to AppleTV again.
Things to try:
1) Turn off any sleep modes.
2) Try hardwiring AppleTV to your network (ethernet cable)
If the problem persists, it's clearly something that needs deeper technical analysis and that's Apple's job.
Glad it's not just me!

I'm living in jena, Germany. Where can I find any support message (for example "maintanance until..." if the store is not working?
How can I get this kind of information in advance?

Apple 3rd Gen tv not working with iTunes 12.1

So my apple tv 3rd gen is trying to connect to my iTunes 12.1 but can't find it and my iTunes doesn't see my apple tv this all started after i updated iTunes and i tried restoring it and everything but i can't find it in my iTunes

I just put up a post about this because I had this problem for weeks. Tried everything, called apple support nothing worked until this. This worked for me:
I am on Windows 7
Wifi with Router
From your PC Start
1. Open Control Panel
2. Open Network and Sharing Center
3. Select your wireless connection
4. Click on Properties
5. Scroll down to Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)
6. If it is checked, uncheck it and click ok.
7. Restart Itunes and apple tv
Hope this helps anyone having the same problem.

Apple TV gen 3 not working with Linksys EA6700

Hello, I have Apple TV 3 with 5.3 Firmware connecting to Linksys EA6700 is so far impossible. It has always worked with a Technicolour 582n. No problems. But with this Linksys EA6700 Smart router no result of connecting. This is wireless as well with Cable. It stays stuck on Activation as well Setting date and Time. Which results into only Computers and Settings. Been in contact with Linksys. They don't want to burn their fingers on it, so no solution. Before I was able to use it with Firmware 5.02 but now I have tried to restore this and it is not accepting this and gives a fault. Did a wireless restore, did a cable restore, did a micro usb restore. Nothing, nix, nada, horror, horror ! Why is it that Apple TV is NOT working with Linksys routers ? After so many updates from Apple still no inclusion. What is the problem ? Tried also to set DNS server to 8.8.8.8 Disconnected everything, on and off, you name it. It can't be that difficult is it ? Why can't we manually activate and set the time and date by hand ? Something is wrong here. Does Apple refuse to talk to Linksys about this or do they just hate Linksys routers ? Further Linksys EA6700 is working great with every other hardware. Easy installation. No problem with Switches, Computers, Laptops, Ipads, Iphones, Android, ................... But not with Apple TV !

Apple Watch - Modern buckles not available

Does anyone know when the modern buckles are going to be available or if they were available on Pre-Order?
Obviously they are available with the purchase of Apple Watch Edition.
Be good to know as it appears Apple don't have any supply of these on their own.

I ordered the modern buckle and my shipping estimate was 5/13-5/27. There's been no movement at all yet and that worries me. I wonder when they are going to ship out the modern buckles? I'm tempted to just get the classic buckle so I can receive mine already.

Cannot send email through yahoo on iPad 4, apple.smtp.mail.yahoo not available as of December 1, 2012

I am unable to send emails through yahoo on my ipad 4 wifi, just starting over the weekend. My 3 other non-yahoo email accounts are working fine on my ipad. When I try to send an email from the yahoo account, I receive the message that the connection to the outgoing mail server "apple.smtp.mail.yahoo" failed. I can send email through yahoo just fine on the web and on my computer through Thunderbird.

Yahoo's been having persistently random issues for months. You can try just waiting it out, or delete and readd your yahoo account. When my accounts were affected I just used webmail to access my yahoo accounts until it cleared up.
Chances are it's all on their end and really all you can do is wait it out.

Apple Tv Gen 2 Not connecting to itunes store

For some reason it is not connecting to the itunes store and asking my to try again later but it connects to my computer library and NetFlix.

Latest ATV update 5.1 breaks the networking.
There are numerous threads about this same problem too.
Basically you need to restore it back to 5.0.2.

Apple tv2 says Netflix not available

I have had my apple tv2 for exactly a week now and it has worked flawlessly. Until now. I was watching a movie from netflix and I had to stop watching it, when I tried to restart to watch it I get an error saying Netflix is currently unavailable and to try back later. I tried back later and got the same error. I read some the other discussions and tried their recommendations. I unplugged it for a few hours and that didn't work. I reset the device as well as restored the device and none of the suggestions worked. I check to see if Netflix worked on my computer and my iPad, which they did. All the other streaming services work as does home sharing.
Any ideas as to why I get this "Netflix is currently unavailable and to try back later" message?

All week my Netflix seem to have insane lag on Apple TV 2. I even plug the router directly into apple tv. Today after I tried to stream Netflix using my ipad 2.This time i turn off mirroring and it work I can stream with little lag. but after 1 episode Netflix just sit there try to buffer the content for like 20min. I turn off airplay on my ipad 2 and try netflix on apple tv2 it give me the message "unavailable". I turn on my xbox 360 it seem fine.
What I think is Apple don't want Apple fans to watch Netflix using apple tv. They wanted you to go pay $5.99 per episode or per movie on their itunes store.

I have been trying to post a message since about a week ago. I keep getting the message that Apple Discussion is temporarily not available and to visit Apple Support.
But, I noticed there are messages being posted by others during this period. I am posting from Asia. Is this problem in Asia only ..??

If this was happening to me, I would try the Open DNS numbers.
So go up to the Apple icon on the top left corner of your screen.
Double click and move your cursor down to "System Preferences."
Then go down to "Network."
Click on Advanced button down in the lower right.
In the resulting box, click on the top menu > DNS.
Then, write down the two (probably) addresses in the left pane (DNS Servers).
(This is in case this doesn't work, and you can simply put the old ones back in easily)
Then erase those old numbers and replace with 208.67.222.222 (top one)
and 208.67.220.220 (lower one). The order is just to make things clearer to you.
It really doesn't matter.
Then when the new numbers are in there, go down to the lower right corner of that pane,
and click the OK button.
Restart Safari, and test again.

Need help with signing on to Netflix from Apple TV. message says not available try back later. Has been 24 hours plus.

I am having the same problem however I end up having hardware error "Sense code 52102"
My video capture is similar to yours except I am using HD (Canon HNV model Legria HV40)
The process takes a long time and I have breaks in my recording to DVD and with no sound - once it completed after 40 hours.
I have wasted over 20 DVD's trying different things.
OS: Windows 7 64-bit.
Video footage format: HD 1440 X 1080 (1.333) 25fps, 48KHz
Photoshop Images: 1440 X 1080 (1.333)
I have not tried what you did buy opening up Encore and importing to new timeline , let me do that and see if I get the same message.

Replacement airport card-not available

Apparently the airport card on my new ( 2 weeks old) MBPro failed. One minutes I was on line, wirelessly, then next ... nothing.
I know that Airport was working, because I immediately fired up my 'old' G4 iBook, and was immediately connected via Airport.
On the MBPro, even after re-starting/repairing permissions, etc., the Airport card did not show up in the System Profile.
I returned it to the Apple Authorized dealer; he checked it out, concluded that the card had gone bad. Ordered a replacement, and was told by Apple that they were 'not available'.
I called Applecare, who also told me that they were not available, and that they didn't know when they would be. The rep assigned a case number, 'escalated' the problem, said they'd get back to me within two days.
Is it not unreasonable to expect that Apple is still shipping MBPro's that they do have a source for a replace Airport card? Any idea what their problem is?
How long should I wait before asking for a replacement MBPro, if they can't fix mine right away?

PMU RESET
1. Turn off computer.
2. Remove battery and unplug a/c power.
3. Hold power button down for 5 seconds.
4. Replace battery and a/c adapter and restart computer.
It's basically just a power management reset, for some reason it helps your
computer locate and identify drivers. I don't know how it works exactly, but I
do know it worked for me. give it a try and let us know.'
Though I sent this to the vender yesterday, for some reason they didn't try it.
So that I could at least have the use of the computer over the holidays, I went
out today, and picked it up, brought it home, and tried the above. And guess
what! Success!
When the computer re-started, there was the airport connect!
I 'suppose' that pulling the battery, re-set -- something? Any ideas what
happened, and why this 'fix' worked? I don't want to look 'gift horses' in the
mouth --- I"m glad it worked, but was curious if anyone had an idea what
happened to make it 'disappear', and why the 'cure' worked?

i discoverd that by deactivating the apple tv and then by signing back into my own unit, i was able to solve my problem.
