  • In Apple Configurator, can I set up different sets of iPads with different apps loaded? Or will all iPads synced with Configurator be required to have the same build?

    Hi jshira86,
You can definitely have different sets of iPads with different apps loaded. When you "supervise" your iPads, you will see that on the left side of the Configurator window there is a "+" sign in the lower left corner. Click it to create a new device group. With this new device group you can choose what apps and configuration profiles you want to install on that group of iPads. Create as many groups as you want to customize the apps and profiles you want on them.
    Hope this answers your question!

Can I watch sky go from my iPad through my apple tv

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Unfortunately not, Sky block mirroring of their app to the Apple TV.

  • I'm looking to buy and iPod shuffle, can I transfer the music from my iPad? I do not have a computer ? Thanks

I'm looking to buy and iPod shuffle, can I transfer the music from my iPad? I do not have a computer, only iPad 4 generation Thanks

iPods (except for iPod touch) require a computer (Mac or PC) running iTunes to sync content.

  • I rented a movie from iTunes on my apple tv, can I watch this rental on another apple tv that's on the same network and under the same account?

I would like to rent a movie from iTunes on one of my apple tv's and would like to know if I can watch that movie rental on another apple tv on the same network. I used to rent movies on my Mac and was able to watch on different apple tv through home-sharing.

    Hey hskcheng,
Movies rented on an Apple TV can not be transferred to a different device. See this article for reference -

  • If I buy a HDMI to VGA adapter can I watch sky go from my iPad

If I buy this adapter will I be able to watch Sky Go from my iPad through my Apple TV? Because it doesn't support HDMI out put?

No, AppleTV doesn't support cabled inputs (other than ethernet, I beleive).
Assuming SkyGo supports it, and you have the iPad and AppleTV on the same network, you can use Airply to mirror the iPad to the TV.(http://www.apple.com/support/appletv/airplay/). However, many streaming video apps do not support Airplay (by vendor design).

  • If I buy a TV series on Apple TV, can I watch it on my Mac? And vice versa?

I want to purchase a TV series. I wanted to make sure I would be able to watch it on all my devices. Also, is it better to purchase through itunes on the Mac or through Apple TV? Or does it even make a difference?
    Thanks

In theory it should not matter whether you purchase on AppleTV or Mac (except for rentals which made on AppleTV are for that only), so long as you use the same AppleID you should be able to transfer purchases via USB or play from the cloud on recent iOS devices.
Movies are not available in the cloud in most countries except USA.
In practice I would recommend purchasing in iTunes.
I've bought a few individual TV Show episodes on the AppleTV - some have then allowed a 'Complete my Season' in iTunes, others haven't even though the indiviudal episodes list as purchased.
My preference tends to be to buy and download and backup via iTunes - and then stream locally from itunes or the cloud to AppleTV.
I think it's wise to make a local copy and backup of a show in case it gets removed from iTunes Store and is no longer available in the cloud.  A bit of me is starting to think however that for the small number of shows you might lose the monetary value might be offset by the times and cost of backup media if you absolutely had to purchase the show again in itunes (season changed subtly and no longer available) or on optical media.

  • Apple TV: Can I watch a rented movie on my Apple TV?

If I rent a movie from iTunes on my G5, would this movie be available to watch on either of my 2 TV, connected to the G5?
    Thank you.
    F

I just searched for 'rental transfer' in the Apple Support pages and got this :-
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=307257
    Specifically look for :-
Can I play my rental on more than one device?
If you download a rented movie on your computer, you can transfer it to your Apple TV, iPod, or iPhone. Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only be viewed on one device at a time. If you rent the movie on your Apple TV, it is not transferable to any other device and you must watch it on your Apple TV.

  • If i have x 2 apple tvs can i watch a different film in each room.

If i have an apply tv in Lounge and 1 in bedroom am i able to watch a different movie on each?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Yes indeed assuming your network is up to it.
You can also watch gthe same movie in different rooms too, but you'd start them seperately so they wouldn't be in sync.

  • I rented movie on apple tv can I watch it on macbook pro?

I rented a movie on Apple Tv and now I want to finish watching it on my MacBook Pro- I can not find it to watch. Shouldnt I be able to watch it from any of my devices??

    No.
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

  • HT1498 I have rented several movies from iTunes on my iPad, just bought apple tv, can I watch the rented movies from my iPad on the tv ?

I have an iPad and have rent several movies from iTunes, I have just bought apple tv, why can't I watch my rented movies on the tv, my home share is activated ? Have I just wasted £99 ?

    Hi,
Yes, start the movie on your iPad and tap on the AirPlay icon and chose AppleTV from the list.
You can't "transfert" your rental to your AppleTV but you can stream it using AirPlay.

  • HT204370 purchased two movies and My iPad just never wanted to download them and I had to re-install everything as per Best Buy and now I can't see the movies in my iPad any more? Can I get them back ? or a credit?

    Can anyone help me?

Go to the iTunes Store, log into your account, and click the Purchases link under the Quick Links. From there you should be able to re-download some or all of your purchased content. Note that not all content has been licensed for re-downloading in all countries at this time. You can see what content you can download here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085
You can also re-download content using an iOS device.
    For full instructions, see:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
If your movies don't appear there but you see them in your Purchase History and are certain you were charged for them, go here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.

  • Buy UK iTunes movie - can I watch when in Aus?

im over in the UK at the moment for a year working and was having a look at some of the movies/shows on iTunes store that I can't buy back home in Australia. I understand that I need to set up an account and will be using an itunes voucher to do so. My question is, when I do get home to Australia will I be able to access and watch the movies/tv shows that I purchased in the UK? or will the goods purchased be lost and a waste of money?
    thanks!

You won't be able to redownload any purchases that you make whilst here in the UK, but as long as you continue to have a copy of them then you should be able to continue to play them. You will need a UK billing address on your account to be able to download from the UK store whilst you are here
