This is something that I have NOT tried. In fact, I do not yet have an Apple TV or an Airport Express (expecting both next week). However, suppose I go to a hotel with an Apple TV and an Airport Express and an iPod Touch. I plug the Express into the Ethernet port on the hotel's router and use the Touch to log in. Then, I log the Apple TV into the AE WiFi instead of the hotel's WiFi. Finally, I connect the Apple TV to the television.

If the hotel's network requires login via webpage then it won't actually be connected and you will need to contact the provider to gain access.

You did not ask about delivering to a different country - that is a much different question than delivering to a hotel
That may or may not be possible - what version of iPhoto do you have? With iPhoto '11 ou can try changing the print products country in the preferences and see if you can order with a delivery address in the selected country

USING APPLE TV AT DIFFERENT HOTELS

If i wanted to take my APPLE TV setup on my wireless network to a hotel townhouse we are renting for 2 weeks. Can I simply reset it up using their wireless network or is that not a good idea?

Provided the wifi has a network name and login you can manually enter it should work ok.
If it's one of those webpage type logins to get internet access it won't work.

Im staying in a condo that has Internet access via ibahn, like in a hotel. The apple tv finds the network find, but there is a pop up login, so it won't actually connect. Is there anyway around this?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Without a web browser there is no way to log in to such networks, I'm not aware of any workarounds.

I am currently staying in a hotel and I would like to use my apple tv. I am able to connect to the network however when i did on all my other devices I was directed to a web page where I had to accept 'terms' and enter a password. Is there a way to do this with apple tv?

Hi all.
Is it possible to setup a Hotel scenario with Apple TVs? What would be the limitations and how could it work? How many could be combined, is it even a good idea?

I suppose it depends on what you want to do.
If you wanted to let guests rent movies, it might be a little difficult. They'd either have to have an itunes account already or create one, which some might not be willing to do. You could of course have your own account and just let guests use that, but if you were going to charge guests for what they use, you might run into difficulties because sometimes it can be a couple of days before the itms notifies you of purchase and it doesn't tell you which device (room) rented it.
If you were thinking of using it for netflix, you might need to have some sort of commercial arrangement with netflix and that might not work with the apple tv. You could I suppose have a netflix account for each unit.
If you were thinking about streaming from an iTunes library, you might come up against the 5 limit that the current Apple tv has, although no-one knows yet whether this limit will apply to the new model.

Most hotels tend to require a login to the network via browser, which the ATV doesn't have. You won't be able to access the network for any functions if that's the case.
You may want to contact someone at the hotel to clarify.

Non-standard configuration macbook Pro in Apple Store

After a few weeks I'll be in a tourist trip in Hong Kong. And I want to buy a macbook pro 13' non-standard configuration (i7 256gb 16gb RAM). All configurations are sold at the apple store? If not, can I have something to pre-book macbook and pick up on arrival? Or to apple brought him to the hotel?

While I had it open I thought of cleaning the dust. I used a dust blower and a vaccum but I could see the fan was still dirty. I deciced to remove it. It was just 3 screws, I didn't disconnect any wires, just moved it to the side. There I saw 1/4 inch thick dust on the grill that separates the fan from the external. Looked something like this
Dust sticks on the grill like lint on a dryer and there is no way to remove it without removing the fan. Now that it's clean I can't hear the fan anymore unless I put my ear on the keyboard, plus it doesn't have to run all the time because when it runs it's much more effective.

You can not use ATV on WiFi networks that require a web signin if that is what is being asked.

I tried setting my Apple tv in a hotel room...I have good internet service but the apple tv isnt recognizing it. Says it wont connect to the internet. All my other devices connect ok.Will let me know what the wifi is but doesnt give me the option to put in the passwrd. Has anyone ever had this trouble before?

Internet Sharing WiFi to WiFi in a hotel room?

I travel a lot. Right now, I'm in NYC helping manage hurricane recovery and will be here in a Marriott hotel for 2 months before I go home. Sick of paying $17.95 for a movie from their on-demand system, I got the brilliant idea of buying an Apple TV and plugging it into the HDMI ports that the hotel makes available for external devices so they can play on the hotel room's television. Of course, I didn't realize until I was almost back to the hotel after picking it up at the Apple Store that I'll have major internet connection issues with the Apple TV in the hotel.
The reason...most hotels use a web-based interface for entering a username/password or room number to add to your bill when you connect to the Internet for the first time. They don't use normal WPA encryption keys/passwords, etc. In other words, the network is open, but you can't connect until you go through a Web-based login process. Works fine on a computer...but Apple TV, of course, has no ability to do web-based logins.
I figured I could get around this by sharing the Internet connection from my MacBook Pro which always on the road with me. I'm running Mountain Lion 10.8.2 on it.
Went into System Preferences > Sharing, and turned on Internet Sharing. Under "Share your connection from", I've specified WiFi as that's how I'm getting Internet connectivity to my laptop from the hotel's ISP. Here's where it gets weird.
Underneath in "To computers using", I have an option for FireWire, Bluetooth PAN, Ethernet, and iPhone USB. There's NO option for Wi-Fi. My Apple TV would be connecting to the laptop's Internet connection by WiFi, but for some reason, WiFi is not on this list, and as such, I also don't have the WiFi Options button below, so my laptop never shows up in the list of wireless networks on the Apple TV.
What am I doing wrong? Why do I not have WiFi as an option here?

The Apple TV allows you to connect by Wi-Fi or by Ethernet. The Wi-Fi of course is a manual process because you have to select which SSID/network you want to use. The Ethernet is supposed to be automatically detected. When you have an active Ethernet connection going into the ATV via a cat5 cable, it's supposed to recognize it and use that as its connection source no matter what you have selected for Wi-Fi.
There is also a "Configure TCP/IP" option in the ATV settings that allows you to set TCP Automatically, or Manually. The latter presents options for IP, Subnet, and Router and DNS addresses. Currently, I have it set to Automatically.
In my case, it doesn't recognize any active Ethernet connection. I have a good cable (it's good -- I've used it elsewhere this week without problems) that's connecting the Ethernet port on the back of the ATV with the Ethernet port on the side of my MacBook Pro. And then in System Settings, under Sharing > Internet, I have specified WiFi as the computer's source connection, and Ethernet for the destination.

Taking apple tv on the road

I travel frequently for work and was wondering if anyone has taken the apple tv to a hotel with them, without a mac to stream from? In other words, can I access itunes to rent a movie or tv show from my apple tv without my computer?

I am on the road this week and picked one up a new Apple TV last night. Running it from my room at the Westin, I ran into the problem of not being able to sign in with the hotels web authentication. I got around that by using internet sharing on my MacBook Pro.
*The Good:* I was able to stream podcasts (albeit a bit more slowly than I would like). I could stream via Airplay from my iPad, which worked great.
*The Bad:* I wasn't able to authenticate my AppleID account, which means that I could not use Home Sharing or buy/rent shows directly through the AppleTV. I also wasn't able to get Netflix to work at all. It seems that there is a requirement that certain ports must be open, which I guess the hotel has closed.
All in all, it works okay for my needs on the road, but without a work around for the port issue may end up finding a permanent home in my living room.

That indicates it isn't connected to the internet, how did you connect to wifi.
Hotel networks can be a problem since they can block communication for the Apple TV and sometimes they need to be logged into using a web browser, which the Apple TV doesn't have.

For a stolen Macbook to appear in iCloud - the person who stole it must turn it on.
You can't track something that's turned off.
