Apple TV / iPad / TV Question

I have got a new Mac Mini plugged into my front room TV, with all my content on it, and am using Plex Media Server and it works great.
My question:
How do I get access to the same content on my bedroom TV?
Do I:
A) send a long HDMI cable though the ceiling ? (!!!)
B) buy an Apple TV box (can I then access Plex through that?)
C) use my iPad 2, plugged into the TV HDMI slot and then access Plex through that?
D) use a completely different manufacturer device (I've spent a fortune already on Apple products!!!)
E) something else
Please help as its doing my brain in....

C should work, assuming there is an app to assist in accessing the Plex.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can get a clue to what it is, and potentially use it, by going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and clicking 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have, or don't want to use, your rescue email address (you won't be able to add/change it until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset (which will be by phone as they need to verify your id - we are fellow users here on these forums).
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add/change rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 . Or you could change to 2-step verification : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5570

IPad 2 Questions

Hello,
My girlfriend wants an iPad2. Questions:
1) The basic iPad2, according to the specs, has 16 GB of memory. Our iMacs have, I think, only 4 GB. Does the iPad2 really have 4 times the "hard drive" memory of the iMac? Why, do you suppose, was the iPad2 designed with so much more memory?
2) We currently use a common Canon MP640 printer to wirelessly print from both our iMacs, and it works great. Can this printer also be used to printer from the iPad2? (Someone informed us that it cannot be used, that only printers listed as AirPrint compatible can be used. If true, this is most unfortunate, and may deter us from buying the iPad2.)
3) Can Microsoft's Office for Mac be installed and used on the iPad2? If it can, how can the software be loaded? We have Office on a CD, but the iPad2 has no disc drive.

IPad 3G questions

Hi there,
Just had a question about the 3G model and travel, I couldn't really find a way to email Apple about it so I'm asking here. Can someone provide me a way to contact them in the future? The "contact us" button didn't really have any information.
I plan on buying the Wifi+3G version (hopefully once some sort of fix for the rampant Wifi issues are available) And I live in Canada.
1) Is is true that the iPad will come unlocked? How do you know? Is there a link that can prove it?
2) I plan to somewhat frequent the USA throughout the year and was wondering if I can just buy a ATT Sim card and use that for 3G while in the USA? Can you just buy a new Micro Sim from them for $10? $20?
3) Can i use my Canadian credit card to buy a $15 month package for the ATT USA 3G or does it have to be a USA credit card?

1) Not sure if it's going to come unlocked. It will be contract free at least in the US. But that doesn't mean it will be unlocked.
2) Apple sales rep mentioned that iPad 3G will come with micro SIM built in. So you won't have to get one from AT&T. Just sign up for service from within the iPad.

I am trying to resolve a problem where someone tried to set up a second iPad on the same Apple ID account. I have partially solved the problem by creating a new Apple ID for the second iPad, but when I went to change the iCloud setting, my only option to change it was the 'Delete Account' button. I just want to make sure that I'm not going to accidentally delete the old Apple ID account because the fist iPad still needs to sync to that ID.

I had an iPad 2 GSM which my sister bought for me in the US from Apple retail store. The date of purchase is July 1st and was registered immediately on Apple website. But ... Apple is gonna release iPad 3 this Fall, which ... my iPad 2 will be an old model in just 2 months of using. I think this is not a fair deal if Apple releases iPad 3 with better specs and same price as iPad 2 ( which is not as expected). My question is : will Apple allow to exchange for iPad 3 for recent purchases of their "old" iPad 2 products. If so then how can I get into the process ?

Of course not. They will not exchange an old ipad for a new one.

"Not certified" is different from "not compatible". The former just means that the iPad may, and probably does, comply with all standards but that the Israeli government hasn't tested and confirmed it yet. Note the referenced article says:
"The ministry's engineers have been unable to compromise on testing the iPad's compliance and suitability with Israel's wireless networks, and thus have rejected a categorical approval. "
The iPad is, as the others have said, almost certainly in compliance. The Israeli government is apparently just arguing amongst themselves about what the standards really are and how to test the device.
If you have questions about the accuracy of these reports and how it's all going to be resolved, it would we best for you to contact the Israeli customs department directly for an official statement.

I am unable to use apps on my iPhone 3GS, apple TVs & iPad mini - Airport Express

I currently have an airport express and Netgear ADSL2+ modem. I also have an iPhone 3GS, 2 apple TVs, iPad mini, and iMac (circa 2008). The only device that is working properly is the 2008 iMac. All other devices show that I have 5 bar signal but do not allow me to use any of the apps (ie: Netflix, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) I have ran speedtest on all devices, ping and download speed are as expected. Ping: 150 ms, Download: 2.7 mbps, Upload 0.68 mbps from iMac. The only difference is that upload speed on iPhone and iPad mini does not register. I feel like the issue is with the modem or the airport? Do I need the airport extreme even though I show 5 bar signal strength on all devices or do I need a new modem from Verizon in hopes that it will get me a better connection on a device that they support? (they do not support the Netgear modem I currrently have).

I was just referring to the visual graphics (you know, the fireworks, stars and other stuff that reminds me of the 70's....) that you can play on the screen when iTunes is playing music?
I noticed that these effects are not just randomly chosen, they are in fact synchronized to the beat and intensity

There is no problem about using one ID for iTunes, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match, and another for iCloud and its email and syncing facilities. This way you can all use the same iTunes account but have separate emails and calendars etc.

Yes, I do have multiple devices and it appeared to me that every time I tried to sync or log onto iTunes, the password was incorrect. Consequently, I was and am constantly changing it. Wouldn't it be nice if Apple would simply say that you only need one Apple ID and one password regardless of the number of Apple devices you intend to sync via iTunes.
Barring the above, how about a way to merge all of the Apple IDs and passwords into one.

After upgrading to itunes 11 home sharing to all devices, apple tv, ipad, itouch, doesn't work, or doesn't work for long. How do I fix it?

I followed a tutorial to downgrade back to iTunes 10.7, which worked but the home sharing still having issues. It will stream for a few minutes and then kick me out and tell me I need to turn on homesharing. If I restart itunes I can watch again for another few minutes before it kicks me out. I have adjusted my energy saver settings to see if that was the problem, (which it worked perfectly before the update with the same energy saver settings) That didn't help. What can I do to fix it? All of my home entertainment has been digitized to run through my 2 apple tvs, ipad, ipod touch, imac, macbook and then Apple goes and screws me with an assanine software update that renders all of their products worthless!
I have reset, reboot and restored my apple tv, so I know it is not that. And like I said, everything streamed perfect before I updated to Itunes 11 a couple weeks ago.
Any help would be great!!

Could you specify what brand, model, and ports the TV has?
Perhaps the maker of the digital TV has customer support.
Unless that's part of the issue, a general lack of it there, too.
However remote that may be, a few have a web page with
pictures of the back or end of their product with ports in view.
And/or a schematic of the kinds of gremlins they have inside.
Was your MB/Pro a certified Apple Store refurbished 'special deal' or bought at a retail store from existing stock that may have been an older model?
In either case, the ability to return the item has a limited duration from the date of purchase; unless there is a technical issue whereby they may choose to repair or replace a failed component or device. Perhaps someone with more experience with the device and adapters will offer their take on what to attempt next.
