Apple TV Keeos freesing up with Apple Logo on screen
I am running Apple TV with version 2.0.2. I have it connected to an Onkyo receiver with an HDMI cable. The receiver runs to my TV (Vizio 47" LCD).
I will turn on my system and all I will see on the screen of my TV is the Apple logo. I can hit any button and I will see the light on the front of the Apple TV blink and hear the sound coming from the system to tell me that a button was pushed, but nothing happens. I end up having to unplug the Apple TV, wait and plug it back in. It then works while I am using it. When I come back to do something else the next day I never know what I will find. At least 50% of the time it will be frozen up with the Apple logo showing.
Help!!!!!! I am thinking that this must be an Apple issue and it is ridiculous!
This is a bug with the new firmware, whether Apple is ready to admit it or not. Happens on both my AppleTVs and it happens every time I leave one alone for a few days. Downgrading fixed this (as well as the annoying increase in the number of clicks it takes to get to my own library content since Apple decided in the new version to force us to scroll past all the many ways to search content in the iTunes store--not even Microsoft was this brazen in Media Center)

so my iMac (10.5.8 its pretty old ) got stuck on the apple logo loading screen (as I call it lol) and it will not go beyond that .I've already made and appointment for the genius bar but now would I back up my files with an external hard drive ? You wasnt to know we didnt live in USA. We will try to get the full retail version of Leopard off the net. We will also phone round the apple resellers.
In the meantime, we are happy running Tiger with the knowledge that SuperDuper has cloned our hard drive in case of a disaster.
SuperDuper recommended backing up the hard drive with a new user account if we were using filevault on the master account. We backed up our hard drive without creating a new user with filevault as we could not read the pdf `Instuctions as preview was not responding.
Is this copy safe to use as a bootable drive or should we copy our entire HD again using a new user account without filevault?

I had to reboot my iMac, it froze... When I went to reboot it started up as usual... Made power sound, showed apple logo (white screen)... And pin wheel started after 3 to 4 mins., went to black screen with error messages. Rebooted 5x, shot off power source, disconnected external devices... Now won't go past pinwheel... Since it does not go to black screen, I cannot convey error messages... Please advise what I could try... Thank you... I have an iMac 2009... Upgrade operating system to new system this spring... It is guitardad's again... I read past topics on this issue... As I am not overly computer savvy, I want to be careful that I don't mess things up further... Of course the extended warranty is done... There is talk about booting from the system disc... I'm not sure if this is the first thing to do or not... Can the support community, advise me on what logical steps I should take ( in order) or direct me to a website and/ or you tube video that walks one safely through the processes... So, do you see any boot choices if you hold alt at bootup?

My phone is in an endless loop where it shows the apple logo then blank screen then apple logo, blank screen. I can only do this with it on the charger, it is a brick without it being on the charger. I am able to go into recovery mode but it has been awhile since I've backed up my phone, any ideas?

My Iphone 4S keeps flashing between the Apple logo, blank screen and sign on screen. It will not let me sign on or power off. It started about 20 mins ago. One of my friends started having the same issue at the same time. How can I fix this?

Macbook Pro Stuck at Apple Logo (gray screen) and keeps restarting
I've a problem with my Macbook Pro wherein it keeps getting stuck at the Apple Logo upon restarting (no spinning wheel). It eventually restarts itself maybe after 5 minutes but still keeps getting stuck in the grey screen where the Apple Logo comes up.
I've tried restarting this with CMD+R to do a "fsck -fy" and here's what I keep getting (attached picture). This screen eventually exits and my Mac restarts itself and gets stuck at the Apple Logo (grey screen).
I think this maybe a HD problem (possibly some corrupt files). Any suggestions/similar experiences? Any chance this can be resolved without reinstalling OS X?

1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times. -
